Alliana's pov:
I had just finished packing my bags and belongings with Souline, and we were about to leave Rome and return to Ontario. Had I known this trip was going to be a shitshow? Probably. Would I go back in time and return? No way.
"Are you ready?" I asked Souline. "Yup, are you?" she asked. "Yup, let's get out of here already," I said, opening the door. Souline followed me down the elevator. "Are there any clients this week?" I asked. "Just that one client who called before Kai," Souline explained. "Let's hope the client is more professional and not narcissistic," I said, to which Souline agreed.
We left the hotel after descending the flight of stairs and ordering an Uber to the airport. My biggest concern was that the Uber took a while to arrive. When the Uber finally showed up, he put our bags in the back, and Souline and I climbed in. Minutes later, we arrived at the airport, grabbed our bags, and thanked the Uber driver. We entered the airport, checked in, and boarded our flight.
As the plane took off, flying over Rome, I felt a wave of relief. So long, Rome! I was glad to be leaving it behind.

Kai's pov:
I entered the conference room and sat on the edge of the chair, ready to brief AJ and Denzel. The blueprints I created for the plan were laid out in front of me, just in case I couldn't find any dirt on Alliana. I doubted that would be the case, though she seemed too professional and didn't appear to have any skeletons in her closet, unlike Carlos.
AJ and Denzel walked in and took seats across from me. "So, how can we help you?" AJ asked, his eyes scanning the blueprint. "Carlos said we need to come up with a plan to abduct Alliana so she could get him out of jail," I explained. Denzel looked skeptical. "Why not just find a new lawyer instead of trying to kidnap this girl?" he asked. I sighed, rubbing my temples. "I'm not sure," I said.
I glanced at AJ and Denzel. "I'll do the research on Alliana to see if I can dig up anything useful. If not, we'll have to go with the abduction. I'll need you two to start working on the blueprint," I said, laying out the plan. Denzel raised an eyebrow. "What about the girl she was with?" he asked. "Souline? Carlos said we don't need her, but I still want to pay her a visit." AJ chuckled, nudging Denzel. "What, you got feelings for her?" he teased. I gave them both a look. "Shut the hell up. I just like messing with her; that doesn't mean I want anything more."
"Alright, but how are we supposed to make a blueprint if we don't even know where she lives?" Denzel asked, still unsure. I leaned back, smirking. "When Souline and I called last time, I installed a tracker on her phone. So now, I can track her location whenever I want." AJ grinned, clearly impressed. "Nice, that should make things easier." I nodded. "Exactly. We'll get her and Carlos out of this mess, but we have to move fast." They both agreed, ready to get started, as the plan slowly began to take shape.
"But you have Souline's address, not Alliana's," Denzel pointed out. "Souline is always with Alliana, so she'll probably be with her the day we go," I shrugged. "All right," AJ agreed. "I'll start researching; you two brainstorm," I said, grabbing my laptop and walking over to the other desk. I typed "Alliana Mercedes" into the search bar.
A list of websites appeared, and I groaned. "Damn, this will take a while," I muttered, clicking on the first link. It led to a page listing top lawyers. I scrolled down and found the top 10. Alliana Mercedes was at the top, as expected. The second was our old lawyer, Vincente Morretti, who had barely finished our case. In my opinion, he should've been demoted to the worst, but somehow he managed to stay near the top. Oddly enough, the third-ranked lawyer had surpassed Souline Marie, which was strange considering Souline was Alliana's assistant.
I decided to close that tab and move on to other websites, only to find more of the same. I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my temples, already feeling the weight of frustration. There was nothing else to be done, and it was starting to get to me. I stood up and walked over to the table where AJ and Denzel were sitting.
"Have you found anything yet?" AJ asked, not looking up from his notes. "No, everything about her is positive," I said. "Should we start with the blueprints?" Denzel asked. "Might as well," I said, rolling up my sleeves. I knew this was going to take a while, but at least we had something to focus on.

Souline's pov:
Alliana and I finally arrived in Ontario after the long eight-hour flight. We got to her house, and once inside, we had no intention of leaving anytime soon. Alliana dropped her bags onto the couch with a groan and pulled out her phone. "Damn, it's already ten!" she said. "Already?" I said, glancing at the clock. "It feels like it's midnight."
"Listen, I'm not even going to bother showering. I'm too tired," Alliana explained, her voice heavy with exhaustion. "All right, I'm staying here tonight," I said, settling in. "You sleeping on the couch?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "I can't move; my body is paralyzed," she said, barely moving. "Guess I'll sleep upstairs in the guest room, then," I said, heading toward the stairs. "All right," Alliana said, her voice soft. "Night," I called back as I headed upstairs.

Kai's pov:
After hours of brainstorming, AJ, Denzel, and I finally nailed down the blueprint. "The same day I go see Carlos will be the same day we abduct Alliana," I said, and Denzel gave a quick nod in agreement. "What do we do now?" AJ asked. "Wrap up the blueprint so I can show it to Carlos next week," I said. "Got it," AJ said, taking the blueprint and diving into the final touches.
With that, the plan was set. Now, all we had to do was wait for my visit to Carlos and present the blueprint. Hopefully, he'll approve, and we'll be one step closer to executing it.
