'Oh yeah, I remember!' I thought excitedly.
"I know how to drive." I said excitedly. "My uncle taught me last year! He showed me how to turn it on and off, like this." I said, demonstrating the movements before flipping the steering wheel left and right before pulling away from the curb and driving down the street.
"Wow, that's amazing!" my mom exclaimed when I pulled into a parking spot near the airport. I chuckled lightly at her reaction and hopped out of the car, closing my door shut behind me. I stood next to the trunk and waited for her to gather up our belongings before following her inside the airport.
"What airline are we flying on, Sis?" I asked, walking alongside her as we headed towards gate 7-5.
"I'm not sure yet, but I assume that the flight will be scheduled in about 20 minutes. Why don't we check in so we can sit down and wait?" my mom suggested.
"Ok," I agreed with her, taking a deep breath as we approached the registration desk and handed her her boarding pass, which she had to complete before allowing us to board. The worker scanned through the information quickly before looking back up at us again.
"Alright, please take a seat in one of the chairs to your left, we'll be bringing your plane in shortly."
"Thank you." My mom thanked the lady kindly before leading me into the nearest chair and setting our tickets aside before we both sat down, placing our hands on our laps.
After we sat down in silence for a few moments, I spoke up. "Do you think Dad and Uncle Mike will be able to come visit today? I haven't seen them in a long time… I missed them so much!" I said excitedly.
"They would be thrilled to see you, baby, and so would your cousins." Mom replied, smiling slightly as she replied.
I smiled brightly and nodded, turning my head towards the glass wall separating us from the outside world, watching as people rushed past on their way to somewhere else in the airport. 'I wonder where everyone is going…' I thought to myself curiously as I looked around. I noticed a woman standing across the corridor, talking to someone, most likely a friend. 'And I bet that person must be the girl from yesterday.' I thought to myself, feeling excited just imagining what she must be wearing.
