Once we reached the ground, we all made our way outside, walking around to look at the surroundings and taking in the new sights around us. As soon as my eyes landed on another familiar sight, I ran over to hug my mom, thanking her multiple times for letting me come.

Chapter 3

My mom hugged me back tightly before whispering something quietly into my ear. Once she was done, she smiled at me as she let go of me, patting my head gently. I nodded understandingly as I watched my dad approach my mom, giving her a tight hug and kissing her cheek.

"Hey, babe." He said softly. "You ready?" My mom nodded in reply and leaned forward to give him a small kiss on the lips.

"Yeah, I'm pretty excited too." She replied with a smile.

He wrapped his arms around my mom's waist before leaning down and placing a kiss on her forehead. "You've always been my little hero," he whispered lovingly, placing a single chaste kiss on her lips.

I blushed and giggled happily while my mom smiled fondly at my father.

"Daddy, why don't you show my aunt and uncle your car so they can unpack their things and we can head to the baggage claim area?" I asked him cheerfully.

Dad grinned at me, nodding and turning towards Aunt Sally. "We'll be right back, don't worry."

"Alright. Just make sure to take care of yourself and your sister, ok? And don't forget that you still need to eat lunch!" Aunt Sally reminded us as she walked towards the parking lot.

"Yes ma'am, we will." Dad replied, laughing slightly at Aunt Sally before heading towards the car with my mom and I trailing after him.

"So, what should we do first?" Dad asked as I climbed into the passenger seat, buckling myself in.

"We should probably start unpacking some of the things Uncle Mike brought for me. Then we can start playing games or watching movies." I suggested excitedly.

"Alright." Dad nodded in agreement, starting up the car and backing out of the parking space. We drove around town for a few minutes more, eventually deciding to drive back to my grandparents house since it would take more time to drive to the airport than it did to travel to the airport. We continued along the streets until we arrived at the apartment complex where my grandparents lived, parking in the driveway of the building and climbing out of the car
