The voice cooed, attempting to comfort me. 'You just gotta believe it will be alright!'

'How can I believe that when it's been so long since my mom has even been gone for five days?!' I yelled angrily at the voice, stomping my foot in frustration as it kept trying to calm me down.

'Well…' The voice paused, obviously trying to think of something that I could possibly believe. Finally, I felt it coming, as I felt the presence of the other voices in my mind grow larger.

"Kara? Are you okay?" Uncle Mike asked as he approached me cautiously.

"Yeah. I'm sorry. It must have hurt to listen to them talk to you." I apologised.

"No problem!" Uncle Mike said reassuringly. "Now let's get those suitcases into your room so you can unpack and I can help you with whatever else needs doing. How does that sound?"

I followed closely behind my dad
