[Alexander: We have a problem. A group of main palace guards is headed your way right now. What should I do now?]

It took some time for the message to sink into Aurora's mind but she was quick enough to take action.

"Change in plans. We need to look for a safe place. Natasha, we must also find a way to smuggle you out of the Northern Republic."

This might be a dumb idea when you look at the state of affairs. Smuggling a run-away princess out of her country was calling for trouble.

Especially when the smugglers were people without any official recognition,

Oh sure, on paper the Northern Republic was being all friendly and caring toward Rocx Academy but anyone could tell that they did not care about the connection being made here.

Aurora could not help but feel like she had stepped into a well-crafted trap. But she had no idea who had laid out this trap.

"By the way, why were you so quick to trust us, Natasha? I never asked before but you seemed to have no problem following us around. You didn't even doubt us once."

That was a good question Rita asked. In all the excitement, Aurora had forgotten that their trio had been strangers when they first met Natasha.

"Oh. that's because Lord Karan vouched for you. He was the one who wanted me to go and study in your academy. I guess I instinctively trusted his words."

"Karan? How dare he not inform us that he is involved. I'm going to kill him the next time I see him."

Aurora could already imagine the sheepish smile of the other god inside her mind. It was irritating to know that he played her like this.

But now that Aurora knew that Karan was behind this plan, she could also relax a little. That god was someone Aurora did not need to take care of at least.

Besides, there was a chance that Karan did this to help Aurora out. She might not be able to see the full picture right now but the benefit must be there.

"Anyway, we'll need to think of a way to get out of Northern Republic without using the train. The only other way to cross the bridge would be through the abyss."

That was going to be a problem for Aurora. Now that she had said it out loud, she could spot the problem.

Had it only been her and Rita, Aurora might have taken the risk of traveling through the abyss. But taking the untrained Northern Princess through the abyss was a no-go.

Especially when you look at the condition of the abyss below.

It was not the first floor or even the fifth. The abyss below the Northern Republic was a part of the deeper abyss. Somewhere between levels 6-10. This was not safe to travel for a kid.

"I have another idea. There are some mecha suits prepared by the Northern Republic. They had not been made public yet but I think the guards said that they can travel across the bridge. If we can get our hands on one, then we can travel across the bridge without taking the train."

"Is that even possible?"

"No, it should be possible. Natasha, you gave us some very fortunate news."

Aurora had not spoken up about this possibility because she had not been sure when the original prototype for the 'power-suit' had been developed.

The normal mecha used by the Northern Republic was only capable of short-distance travel and had more firepower.

But in the future, they had developed a fast-traveling suit that reduced the time needed o cross the connection bridge.

It seemed like the prototype has already been made by this time.

"Do you know where the mecha suit is being kept?"

Aurora had a few ideas about the possible location. But none she was confident about. It would be better for her to cross-check where the suit was before taking any action.

"It should be in the royal palace. I am not sure where exactly it is being kept though. I'm sorry."

"No, don't be sorry. We can look for it once we break inside the royal palace. You have nothing to be sorry about."

Natasha had helped the pair out a lot. And it was time for Aurora to play her part and break into the royal palace.

[Aurora: Lose the people tailing you and head toward the royal palace. I will send you the details about what we need to do.]

[Aurora: Lose the people tailing you and head toward the royal palace. I will send you the details about what we need to do.]

Alexander was hiding his presence when the message broke his concentration. He wanted to curse at the sender but it was too late for him to do so.

"I heard a noise. I think he is hiding this way."

Alexander pressed his back against the wall and cursed the soldiers tailing him. Why did they have to be so persistent?

Alexander had taken care of the stalkers as soon as possible but he had made a mistake and one of the stalkers had gotten time to send an emergency beacon.

It would not have been a big deal had it not been for the royal guards. It seemed like the royal guards were the ones stalking them.

And now Alexander had a bigger problem on his hand.

'Head to the royal palace, she says. It's easy for Aurora to do this since she doesn't have people after her.'

Even though Alexander complained about the task, he knew that he would follow the orders.

Mainly because the royal palace was the best place to hide for someone like him. The guards would not be able to imagine him hiding away in their stronghold.

Besides, the news of the new mecha-suits interested him as well. He had only seen the other side use mecha-suits once but it had piqued his interest.

"Hey, I can see him. He's there."

"Fuck. I have no other choice now."

Alexander cursed as he was discovered but he was not afraid. He had a last resort prepared for these kinds of situations.

"System, initiate the sleeping spell. Make it as powerful as you can"

[Order confirmed]

One by one, the royal guards fell asleep but Alexander also felt his power weakening. 𝙞𝙣𝗻𝒓𝗲𝓪d. c𝘰m

A sleeping spell was a powerful tool but it took too much magic at his current level. So Alexander avoided using it as much as possible.

"Fuck you Aurora. You and your demands"

But even though Alexander complained, he knew that he would follow the goddess to the end of the world.

===========================

"I have to ask a question. How do we get to the royal palace from here? I don't see a way to get up that high."

Aurora was aware of this problem even before Rita opened her mouth. The Northern Royal palace was built almost 1 km above the normal town and the only way to go in and out was through the connection bridges.

Of course, one could use flying magic and such but it was asking for trouble.

"There are a few secret ways to get into the Northern Royal Palace so we'll have to see. The easiest way would be through the maintenance channel."

Most Royal Palaces had a maintenance channel that could only be used by the emergency staff. But its location was hidden and the staff going in and out was not aware of where those channels were.

"But are you sure we should do this? We don't know when the time for maintenance would come. How about an emergency exit? There should be one right?"

"W-Well, there is one but I don't think it will help us out much."

Natasha looked uncomfortable at Rita's enthusiasm. But it did seem she was taking it seriously.

And Aurora had thought about the emergency exit as well but she had also discarded that idea right out of the gate.

But it seemed as if it would be their last resort to get to the palace. And the easiest one as well.

"How can we know whether it would help or not unless we try?"

"No, you don't understand. That place is not safe at all for us to climb up through."

Rita seemed to not want to back down and Natasha looked uncomfortable.

It was not like Aurora was not aware of why Natasha was against going in through that route but Aurora had a feeling it was about time.

"I think we should take the emergency exit as well. I have a few ideas of how we can make it work so do not worry."

"Alright. But don't tell me I didn't warn you."

Aurora knew it was going to be a long climb from here on ahead. And she hated the thought of plunging herself into that space. But for now, it was the best option they had available to them.

Regrets could come later.

"Sooooo, does anyone have a rope and a hook? Or anything we can use to climb this tower?"

"Rita, those things won't work. This tower is magically enhanced to prevent someone from climbing it. The only thing we can do in this tower is to climb down."

"Then how can we get up using it? Isn't this useless in the first place?"

Aurora sighed at the conclusion drawn by her partner. Even Natasha had a disappointed look on her face but she seemed to have expected it.

"See, didn't I tell you that going up this way would be useless? Let's find another way up."

Natasha seemed to have given up without even trying. Her body language seemed defeated and Aurora wanted to encourage the girl to not give up this easily.

Besides, she would not have suggested this way up if she did not have a plan to overcome this obstacle.

"There is a way to climb this tower but it will require a lot of magic power and willpower. You need to make up your mind if you want to do this or not."

This was the last warning Aurora was going to issue.

Not because she was not worried about her partners, but because she trusted them to overcome this obstacle.

"There is a way to climb this tower? Then let's go."

As ever, Rita seemed to not be afraid. But Natasha had a look of trouble on her face. She seemed to not be ready to head in just yet.

"You can decide to stay back here. Our third companion will be here soon and he can keep you company out here."

"No. I need to do this as well. I need to face my past and move on ahead."

Natasha looked worried but it soon turned into a determined expression. Aurora was certain that the Northern princess knew what the trail ahead contained for her.

"Alright. But you can back out if you feel that it is too much for you"

Aurora assured the princess. She was not sure how far the twelve years old girl would be able to endure the trial.

But Aurora did not voice her doubts. She did not want to make Natasha any more nervous than the female already was.

"I will be alright. Let's head in now."

"Hey, guys. Hurry up."

Rita seemed to be getting impatient so Aurora decided to cut her talk with Natasha short and head toward the tower.

It was smooth to touch and glossy in look. The stone used to construct the tower seemed to contain high amounts of magic power inside them.

And it was all woven from the dark abyssal energy. It was surely the last line of defense for the Northern Palace.

"Let's go. Be sure to be on the outlook."

And with that, Aurora opened the door and stepped inside. Darkness was all that greeted her senses but she kept on walking.

She could not stop here and lose her way.

===========================

Aurora did not know how long she walked through the darkness. After a while, time lost its meaning as well.

The darkness of the abyss was hitting Aurora's senses and it made her head spin. It was not the kind and gentle energy of the abyss she was sued to after rebirth.

This hostility felt more like the one she had faced in her last life. It was as if she was a normal human again.

"Hey, look out. This is no time to be standing around. Can't you see that we are in the middle of a battle? If you are going to be useless, then leave."

Quince's familiar voice struck Aurora speechless. Then a solid body collided with Aurora's and send her flying.

She instantly looked up to complain, only to be met with Quince's back as he pushed the incoming monster back.

"You are such a hassle. Hurry up and kill it already. We need to help Clove out."

Aurora quickly snapped out of her thoughts and raised her hand to cast a magic spell. The aura of the goddess she was about to use would dispel the abyssal monster.

Or that was what was supposed to happen.

But instead of the goddess's magic, an ordinary fireball was shot out of her palm and right in the monster's face.

"Hey, what's with the low-level magic spell? Do you want me to die?"

Aurora's head felt disoriented. It was swimming in and out of focus but this scene felt familiar. Aurora had been in this position before.

This abyss floor also felt familiar to her.

"Sorry. My head is not all here. Give me another try."

Aurora felt her mouth speak on its own. Her body was moving through a familiar motion she had not used after her rebirth.

Her spear snapped at the speed of light and struck the monster right in the chest. The monster died with a final cry of pain and then all that remained was silence.

"Fuck. What the hell was that? Did you hit your head that hard? What am I going to tell Clove?"

Quince seemed to be talking to himself. His tone indicated how irritated he was to see Aurora acting this way.

But Aurora felt like something was wrong with Quince standing in front of her. He looked a little older than she remembered.

"Quince, how old are you? When did you get this tall?"

Aurora felt the question escape her lips without her permission. She quickly snapped her mouth shut but it was too late for her to take her words back.

"Huh? I was joking earlier but did you hit your head and got amnesia? We're both nineteen this year. Now, hurry up and pull yourself together. We need to get this corpse back to the tower."

Tower? Hasn't Aurora vowed to cut tied with the tower in her life? What was she doing back here?

But this place, Quince's presence and even the current circumstances, all seemed a little out of place for Aurora.

Not to mention, her head ached the more she tried to make sense of things. It seemed as if something did not want her to remember what was going on.

Had she been caught in some kind of trap? Everything looked different than Aurora remembered it to be.

"Oi, let's hurry back. Don't tell me that you need me to carry you back?"

Quince's hand neared Aurora's face and her body instinctively recoiled. She felt like she had to avoid that hand at all cost.

As a result, Aurora felt her side smack into the floor and pain fill her arm. It was not broken but it had wounds on it for sure.

"What's wrong with you today? Why are you acting like this? Anyway, it is not my concern. Just make sure Clove does not see you like this or she'll be worried. I do not want her to worry 'because she can be scary.'"

Aurora was sure that the last words had not been meant for her ears. But things seemed to be coming back to her in bits and pieces.

It seemed as if this place was the trail the tower had prepared for her. But whether this was a memory, the past, or another timeline Aurora was not sure. She just knew she was sent here to complete a task.

What terrifying magic the Northern Republic had at its disposal.

It was no wonder that no one tried to climb up this way into the Northern Palace. And Aurora could not help but feel worried about her companions.

She had to look for a way back as soon as possible. Staying in this place would not be ideal.

The more time she might have spent here, the more she would be enchanted by this place.

"Aurora, you're back."

But every thought fled from Aurora's mind as soon as her eyes fell on the silhouette of her lovely wife.

Clove looked just as she had in Aurora's memory. But she was all grown up now. Her long hair had been done up in a high pony and her blue eyes shined with a familiar love.

"I brought her back alive. She is no longer of any concern to me."

Quince sounded irritated to see Clove and Aurora interact with each other. It was so similar to Aurora's memory that she almost let out a tear.

She might have never said it out loud but she had missed this. The ease of familiarity as well as the time Aurora had spent in this company had not been something Aurora had ever forgotten.

"Quince, stop being mean. Aurora, hurry up inside. We should clear you up so that your wounds do not get contaminated." 𝒊𝐧𝑛r𝑒𝗮𝐝. 𝐜𝑜𝑚

Aurora allowed herself to be manhandled with ease. She felt happy to have her wife's hands on her body again.

It had been so long since she had enjoyed the simple pleasure that was Clove's company and Aurora carved that contact.

"Clove, would you join me in my bath. I think I will need the assistance."

Clove blushed a pretty red while Quince gagged in the background.

It was all so familiar that Aurora's heart ached.

Aurora might have asked Clove to join her in her bath but she was not sure she was emotionally ready to spend a night with Clove just yet.

There was too much going on inside her mind to even feel comfortable.

"Aurora, stop thinking so much. Allow me to make you forget about everything else."

Clove's chest pressed up against Aurora's back was a familiar feeling. The water in-between their bodies provided a slippery and wet feeling.

Every time Clove's wet breasts pressed against Aurora's back, it brought shivers to her body.

It seemed as if Aurora's body had not retained her godhood in this trial but it had retained its sensitivity. Even the tiniest brush of skin caused Aurora immense pleasure.

"C-Clove. I know I suggested we spend a night together but let's not do it today. I am not sure I can handle it today."

"Huh? You can't? But your body is responding to me so well. It sure wants me."

Clove was a crafty one. Aurora could not even deny her words since her body had gotten wet as soon as Clove had started rubbing her breasts.

It was a familiar feeling. And unlike last time with Ava's illusion, Aurora could feel Clove's body heat.

This was not a mere illusion and the Clove in front of her was as real as Aurora could make her be.

But still, it did not feel right to invest in her emotions right now. Not when Aurora knew she had to go back anyway. This happiness was temporary.

"Hey, you're still thinking about something else? Did you happen to fall in love with someone else? I won't let you go."

"N-No. it's nothing like that. I love you Clove and I want to marry you."

"Good answer. Now let's enjoy ourselves."

Aurora's mind and body were divided. But in the end, her body won over as soon as Clove kissed her.

Clove's tongue dominated Aurora's mouth. Aurora might have preferred to give back as good as she got but Clove had a different preference in bet.

"Good girl. Lie down while I play with you. I can see that your pussy missed me. It is leaking so much."

Who would have thought that a gentle girl like Clove had such a mouth on her? Aurora had not known about this before she got together with Clove.

"S-Stop speaking like that. J-Just get on with it."

Aurora was sure her face was red by now. She had never been able to take Clove's forwardness in bed very well.

"What? Can't handle the truth? But see, your pussy is so happy to see me again. It's even twitching to have my fingers inside."

Clove's fingers were right on top of Aurora's pussy. Aurora knew a single touch would be enough to stimulate her body greatly.

And Aurora felt afraid of her desires. She wanted Clove's fingers inside her.

"P-Please don't"

Aurora's mouth worded the sentence but those words had no heat behind them. The pair knew that Aurora was spouting empty words.

"Are you sure? Then, try pulling your pussy back from my fingers and I will let you go. Surely you can do that much."

Aurora opened her mouth to protest but all that came out was a moan. Clove already had a finger inside Aurora and it felt so good.

It had been so long since Aurora had any fun with her wife and her body seemed to have missed that feeling.

"What happened? Are you not going to pull back? Your body seemed to be trying to ask for more. See, you got even wetter. I wonder if I can make you come from my hand alone?"

Aurora tried to protest but her body defeated her by clamping hard around that single finger.

It was too much and not enough at the same time. Aurora needed more of that fulfilling feeling.

"C-Clove. Please."

"See, that's the problem with you. You do not make your intentions clear. Do you want another finger? Or do you want me to stop? What do you want?"

Clove's voice was teasing but her finger pushed harder against Aurora's pussy. The hard jab was keeping Aurora on edge.

But it was not enough. It would not make her come at all.

"A-Another. I want more of this feeling."

Aurora knew she should not but she could not help but carve the pleasure. It was so good that her mind was going numb.

Clove's face looked a little flushed as well but Aurora was in no mind to pay her any attention.

"Something is different about you today Aurora. You seem unusually sensitive. I'm sure you're about to come any second. But I don't want that."

"Huh?"

"I changed my mind about letting you come on my finger. I want to fuck you properly."

Aurora did not get a chance to complain before Clove pulled her finger out and raised herself on top of Aurora.

Aurora felt something wet touch her pussy but it was not a hardness she was familiar with. i𝙣𝒏r𝚎𝑎𝙙. 𝒄૦m

"Clove? What are you doing?"

Aurora's voice was all but a breath. She was not even sure if she was breathing properly due to the sensations she was feeling all over.

"I'm going to fuck you. It's a pity that I don't have a cock but it'll still be pleasurable for you."

Aurora felt the first hint of friction as Clove's pussy rubbed against her wetness. It was a weird feeling and also unfamiliar. At least for her current body.

But it was not any less pleasurable than before. The friction felt amazing and Clove seemed to be an expert in using her body.

Aurora wanted to feel jealous of the one Clove had practiced it with but she also knew it was a foolish thought to have.

"Aurora, you're mine, right? You'll stay with me for eternity, right?"

Aurora wanted to reply but all her lips were capable of was moaning. She could not even pay attention to what Clove was saying.

There was magic that was knocking at Aurora's own. It was caressing her magic and asking to be let in.

It felt familiar and gentle. The darkness of the abyss was calling out to Aurora and highlighting her pleasure.

Aurora could not stop even if she wanted to. Her release was building up faster and faster.

"A-Aurora. I'm about to come. Do you feel it?"

Aurora did not get a chance to answer before she had a tongue forcefully mapping out her mouth. Clove was far from gentle and her lips hurt from the pressure.

But it was also something Aurora's body seemed to be carving. It drank the energy seeping inside its core and it filled Aurora with a feeling of power.

Aurora hit her climax with a flash of light. But it seemed to not have made a difference for Clove. The elder kept on going till her back arched and her body released.

The kiss also broke as soon as Clove had her release and her body collapsed on top of Aurora.

All Aurora could do was hold on to Clove's slumbering body and catch her breath. It had been a shock to her system.

But Aurora felt a familiar feeling humming beneath her skin. Her power as the goddess seemed to be returning in bits and pieces.

The space around Aurora also became clearer and clearer.

And Aurora instantly knew what was going on here. This was a space created from Aurora's memory to trap her here.

Unlike Ava, this was a test to see whether Aurora had the resolve to step past it or not. And the test was just starting.

Soon it would force Aurora to forget her memories and submit to the curse. It was a terrifying curse one could be under.

But Aurora did not feel afraid for some reason. The familiar hum of magic around Aurora felt protective.

"Aurora, is everything alright? You feel distressed."

Clove's familiar face looked back at Aurora and it instantly made her melt. This was the clove in Aurora's memories. This was someone whom Aurora was fighting for and one she wanted back.

'You have her right here. There is no need for you to go back. You can enjoy all this and more if you stay.'

Aurora could enjoy all this and more if she stayed. This was what her heart wanted and this space was reflecting her innermost desire.

But Aurora could also feel conflict building inside this place. This space was not as stable as it should be and Aurora did not know what that meant.

That was the only reason she was afraid to break this illusion and get out of here.

"Aurora, pay attention to me. Are you sick? You don't feel so hot to me so it's not a fever."

Clove's hand on Aurora's forehead felt like a dream come true. And Aurora knew that this nice thing could not last.

Aurora needed to break free of this illusion before it consumed her fully. She could not allow her desire to break her.

Clove's cold hands on Aurora's forehead were a sharp reminder that this was no longer her reality. This was a play on Aurora's memories and she should not be taken in by them.

"I am alright. The last fight just knocked the wind out of me but I'll recover quickly."

Initially, Aurora had wanted to ask which floor of the abyss they were at currently.

Knowing the floor might help Aurora jog her memories a little bit. But asking this question would also alert Clove that something is wrong.

As far as Aurora could remember, she never had any memory problems. So this sudden change could prove to be disastrous.

"If you are still tired then you should rest. I will wait around for Rita to come back with our supplies. Oh, you might not know who Rita is since the tower assigned her after you and Quince went to battle."

"Rest for now. Things will be better once you wake up."

Rita? Was it her Rita or the one in Aurora's memories? Only time will be able to tell.

Aurora would have preferred to get up and check for herself but it seemed to not be possible right now.

Clove had a tight hold of security and Aurora did not have enough information to act on her emotions. So she decided to hold back for now.

But once the coast looked clear, Aurora stepped out of her bed and managed to sneak out. It was not difficult with the new skills she had.

Aurora tried to flex her power but she was not able to reach her goddess magic.

She could still feel that abyssal energy moving about in her body but Aurora was sure she would not be able to use that magic anytime soon.

Whatever this trial had done to Aurora, it had been unable to erase her Abyssal energy. Maybe because Aurora's magic was more powerful than the trail magic.

But even saying that her sealed magic provided Aurora with a big disadvantage.

"System, are you still there?"

Aurora tried to call upon her system for help in such a situation. She had a gut feeling that she would still be able to use her system in such a situation.

Mainly because when Aurora had been cursed before and had her magic sealed up, the system had still been there.

That meant that as long as Aurora still had her magic, the system would follow along.

[Greetings User Aurora. What can the system do for you?]

Aurora breathed a sigh of relief as she looked at the digital screen on top of her wrist. It seemed as if her hypothesis was correct.

That took care of at last one problem for her. Now, Aurora needed to plan the out.

"Fine the location of user Rita for me."

Aurora was sure that if she was able to use her system, so should Rita. And they could use the system to communicate with each other.

[User Rita found. Marking location on the map. Would the user like to send a message to User Rita?]

If the system was asking such a question then it meant that Rita was in this space as well. But did she have her current memories? Or was she just like Clove and Quince?

Only time will tell but the thought of not having her normal Rita pained Aurora's heart. She had come to view the other as a dear friend in her new life.

[Aurora: Rita, meet me behind the communal bathroom in the next 5 minutes. We need to talk]

Aurora waited until she got a confirmation that the other side had seen the message before she made a break for the communal bathroom.

She had chosen the busiest time of the day so that she had an excuse to go to the baths even if she was caught.

The noisiness of the people taking bath right now would also reduce the risk of being overheard by someone important.

Aurora was not going to take any chances with this place or the trail.

===========================

"Stupid tower, stupid magic. Why am I back here? I thought I was done with this place after the first-floor trail?"

Rita wanted to break something but she held her anger back. She did not have the time to look around and think in the middle of a fight.

"Leader, look out."

Rita's body sensed the incoming attack and acted accordingly. She dodged out of the huge monster tail that slapped down on the earth.

The flying debris caught Rita in her side and caused her to lose her balance.

But her face showed nothing but pure concentration. It was moving on auto-pilot and Rita was just going with the flow.

/My familiars, heed my call.

Come forth, Divine wolf/

Rita knew she did not have such a familiar in her current aisle. But her chant still brought forth a gigantic wolf demon.

The majestic wolf had swirl patterns all over its body and its flame burned the incoming debris away.

It was such a magnificent beast but Rita knew she would not be able to last long with this summon. The magic required to maintain the current condition of the summon was too much for her current body.

"Hurry up and take the beast down. What are you all looking at."

Rita's complaint caused the rest of her part to snap into action. But despite their best effort, they were unable to cause any substantial damage to the huge monster in front of them.

It also made sense since most of Rita's current party had no combat experience. The tower had landed them on her to make her cooperate with them.

"I knew I should have invested in some personal attack magic."

Rita had wanted to learn but the tower had not allowed her to venture past her role. She had thought to ask Aurora but she had not gotten any time to do so.

"The beast is breaking out of the chains. Hurry up and retreat."

"Hey, don't move or we'll all be in danger."

Rita wanted to smack the foolish man who had issued the retreat. He was making everything worse for Rita.

If the current structure of the seal was maintained, Rita would be able to hold the beast in place for longer.

But the panicked shout had caused people to start running away. The supply of magic was slowly but surely being cut off.

Such a situation did not help Rita maintain her magical formation and it collapsed.

The monster took this opportunity to attack Rita but her divine summons stopped him cold for a second.

That was all the time Rita got to roll out of the attack before her summon had to be canceled. Rita had used far too much magic on her side.

The huge beast raised his paw to attack Rita and she closed her eyes.

There was no way to know what would happen if Rita died in this trial but it seemed as if she was about to find out.

"And they said you were the best in your generation. What a joke you are."

Before Rita could feel the heavy blow of the paw, someone cut the beast apart. Rita only saw golden hair before the red covered her and the other person from head to toe.

"You are.."

Rita tried to look inside her mind for this person's name but nothing came to mind. But the mere fact that he had slain the beast so easily meant he was powerful.

How come such a powerful person does not have a known identity.

"Did you hit your head as well? Stop messing around and take a bath. You're covered in blood."

Rita decided she did not like this man. He had an attitude problem which did not sit well with Rita.

But it seemed like she was the only one who had a problem with this man. Everyone else seemed to be alright with fawning over the blond-haired man.

"Wah, Quince is so cool. He killed that monster in one sweep."

"I wish I was under his command as well. I've heard that he does everything himself."

"He and Lady Clove would make such a divine couple. But I'm glad he is single. Should I go for him?"

The more Rita heard, the more she wanted to gag. This person did not seem all that great to her. But he had also saved Rita's life so she could not complain.

"Thank you for saving my life. If that is all, then I shall go back now."

Rita gave a small bow to Quince before she turned away. She did not want to interact with the man more than possible.

Quince did not answer bow and Rita had not expected him to either.

[Aurora: Rita, meet me behind the communal bathroom in the next 5 minutes. We need to talk]

Rita almost tripped as soon as she got that message. Was this her system? This message? i𝗻𝚗re𝗮𝐝. 𝙘𝑜m

Was Aurora in her with her as well? What was going on here?
