With descendants from Immortal Hegemony coming to test their might against Mother's projection in the fifteenth room, they quickly entered the spire through its beam and began defeating every projection they met, not facing any sort of challenge until the eleventh floor, which did slow them down, but it was only a matter of time until they reached Mother's projection.
"Hmm, I wonder who'll be the first to defeat, Mother." Muttered Elif softly as he observed the numerous disciples within the spire, having yet to be impressed.
Mother would eventually be defeated; it was only a matter of time, though, unfortunately, there is also a decent chance it wouldn't be from a heir of their respective hegemony, considering this generation is significantly stronger than the previous generation. While Mother may have been arguably the strongest in her own generation, in this generation, she was rather lackluster if I were to speak my honest thoughts; despite how powerful Elaine is, even she isn't within the top five strongest, maybe top ten, yet she would without a doubt defeat Mother.
'Matter of fact, now that I think about it, Progenitor Lourdes has said throughout the entirety of History, only one or two beings with Immortal Wills have been born within the same generation. Yet this time, there are six.' Mused Elif lightly as he gazed throughout the coliseum, glancing between Tiamat, Aurora, Cordelia, Comet, and Lucifer.
"If anything, this is probably the strongest and most talented generation to date." Said Elif quietly as he rubbed his chin with a thoughtful expression, only for him to faintly smirk.
"Each one of them is more than strong enough to utterly dominate any other era throughout the OverRealm, yet they had the unfortunate luck of being born within my generation. Heaven isn't shining its luck on them, is it?" Added Elif with a proud expression as he glanced at the heavens in amusement, only for him to glance at Elaine, who was giving him a weird look.
"Are you alright, Brother?" Asked Elaine curiously as she leaned forward and stared deeply into his majestic purple eyes, which reflected her own face back to herself.
"Yes, I'm fine, Elaine; can your dearest brother no longer speak to himself now? I'm not allowed to share my thoughts out into the open anymore?" Replied Elif lightly while nodding as he eyed Elaine with a teasing smirk, causing her to roll her eyes as she turned around and faced the spire, only to continue slowly grinding her plump butt on his crotch.
'This little–" Thought Elif with a twitching expression as he fixedly stared at Elaine, only to grunt in annoyance as he ignored her teasing actions.
Ignoring Elaine, who was making me very uncomfortable with all her teasing, I focused back onto the spire, only to realize someone had already reached Mother again, yet, after a few seconds of watching, the outcome was already set in stone: Mother's projections were going to emerge victorious, the opponent was hardly able to even retaliate.
"I will say, Mother's fighting style compliments her personality flawlessly; overbearing and domineering just like her… I really like it." Remarked Elif lightly with a faint smirk as he watched Maria's projection utterly dominate her opponent, giving him no chances or opportunities to regain his bearings as she ruthlessly attacked him.
"That was one of the reasons Her Majesty had so many admirers." Said Illumia lightly as she gazed at Maria's projection with a faint smile, reminiscing about her days during the Realm Sect.
"Hmm, I can definitely see that." Muttered Elif with a nod as he glanced at the ground where Maria's injured and defeated opponent lay.
"Eh, what's that supposed to mean, Brother? You best not be lusting after our Mother; is your own sister not enough for you?" Asked Elaine with a frown as she eyed Elif, who rolled his eyes but didn't elaborate, greatly annoying her.
"Brother!?" Exclaimed Elaine in annoyance as she pressed her head against Elif's, yet a deep, passionate kiss from him managed to quiet her down.
"Relax, Elaine; I'm watching Mother." Said Elif softly as he gave Elaine a quick glance before ignoring her, causing her to huff as she folded her arms.
"Hmph, we'll speak about this later." Muttere Elaine sternly as she turned back around, facing the spire once more.
We were not going to speak about this later; that was just her way of not verbally admitting defeat at a mere kiss, and although it may not seem like it, she was no longer annoyed with me. Anyway, shifting my focus back to the spire, I watched Mother continuously defeat every adversary that came her way; this generation may be filled with significantly more talent and strength than the previous one, but not just any no-name descendant could defeat Mother.
Even after a few hours, Mother remained as an immovable mountain that blocked the path of everyone who dared to challenge her, and it seemed dearest sister was beginning to get a little restless. Feeling a little playful, I leaned forward and whispered into Elaine's ear.
"If you defeat Mother first, I'll wear that bunny outfit again." Said Elif softly as he whispered into Elaine's ear, causing her eyes to widen while she immediately stood up, her pupils burning with determination.
Elaine didn't utter a single word and simply summoned Orcus before slicing the glass pane in half as she speedily flew towards the spire, her actions catching quite a lot of attention.
"Out of the way!" Yelled Elaine angrily as she landed directly underneath the spire before violently unleashing her potent Qi, forcefully pushing everyone back, momentarily surprising everyone with her strength.
It only took a few moments for the spire to beam down, and since Elaine was the only one present as she forcefully pushed everyone else out of the way, she was promptly whisked away into the spire where she faced her first opponent; unfortunately for him, he was killed before he could even lift his foot, which was the same outcome for every opponent she faced until the tenth floor, where they were capable of surviving for a little bit longer.
As I watched Elaine kill her opponents so quickly, I could no longer keep my composure and erupted into laughter.
"Eh, y-your Highness?" Asked Sarah curiously as she glanced at Elif, who was loudly laughing, surprising everyone.
"N-Now that I think about it, when was the last time His Highness laughed with such enthusiasm?" Muttered Marley with a raised eyebrow as she gazed at Elif before glancing at Idonea, who nodded.
"It's been quite some time, a few years at the least." Said Idonea softly as she and Marley stared at Elif, finding his pure, joy-filled laughter to be utterly bewitching.
"W-Woah, I-I don't think I've ever seen His Highness laugh this hard." Said Ember softly as she looked at Elif with blushed cheeks, still not quite accustomed to his sheer beauty that none could ever hope to rival.
"Maxim, are you blushing?" Asked Illumia with a raised eyebrow as she eyed Maxim, who was glancing at Elif, causing him to awkwardly cough while looking away.
"Not at all, Illumia; you merely jest." Replied Maxim calmly with a shake of his head, causing Illumia to gently nod while she looked away, prompting him to occasionally glance at Elif.
I laughed for probably five minutes straight before I finally calmed down and regained my composure; I wasn't the kind to erupt into boisterous laughter like that, but I had to admit, it felt quite good.
"Oh Elaine…" Muttered Elif with a faint chuckle as he stared at Elaine, who was fighting her fourteenth opponent and completely dominating him.
I was in such a good mood that I didn't even notice Comet had already entered the Spire and was only a few floors behind Elaine. Regarding that little bet with Elaine, I've only worn that specific bunny outfit for her once, and that was the same day she was knocked unconscious from the sheer beauty I exuded; since then, I've worn a few other outfits for her while she's done the same for me, but I've always refused her request for the bunny outfit as that one was reserved for special occasions only after seeing how lethal I was when wearing it.
"Ho, she's facing Mother." Muttered Elif with a smile as he leaned forward, eager to see the battle between the two most important women in his life.
Before everyone's divine sense, Elaine and Mother finally clashed, their strength apparent to all, yet to the shock of many, Mother was pushed back, and from the look on Elaine's face, it clearly wasn't too difficult, though I could tell she was taking the battle seriously.
Elaine's forte wasn't fighting like this; she was an assassin, meant to sneak up on her target and kill them before they even realized, yet even so, she had the upper hand throughout the entire fight; there wasn't a moment in which it even seemed like Mother could win. Slowly, Mother was whittled down as her body accumulated injuries from nearly every attack of Elaine's before; eventually, she fell to the ground, having been bisected in half by Orcus.
Elaine had sustained a few injuries, but overall, she might as well have been in perfect health; not only that, but it seemed their fight had surprised many, especially the ones who had suffered a crushing defeat against Mother. For the supposed immovable mountain to be defeated so quickly was surprising to all; however, I simply smiled as Elaine was finally getting the recognition she deserved.
"Hehe, when Elaine gets back, if she asks, tell her she was the second person to defeat Mother." Ordered Elif with a playful smile, his words filling everyone with curiosity, though nonetheless, they all nodded, following their Prince's desire.
