Chapter 7

Running away wouldn't do anything for as moths especially MASSIVE ones that can hear well beyond the range of any bat as normal moths can sense frequencies up to 300 kilohertz imagine what this thing could hear.

As the two rushed off in the distance a noise no one thought could exit a moth's mouth was heard as it roared loudly, echoing and shaking the city as it chased Monday and Ava no matter where they went.

Ayla on the other hand was looking very good as she seemed to be loosing blood in places that only pressure could stop the bleeding slowly growing nauseous by every second that passes, and yet the pain from being pulled away by Zak who seemed to be unaware of the bleeding keeping her awake, before eventually finding a stable collapsed rubble that formed a hole that provided shelter for them from the intense wind that came from the mutant looking moth that could give any one with Lepidopterophobia a haunted sight of their biggest fears that had becoming an actual horrifying reality.

"We should be safe hiding here until the moth looses interest and flies off. So we'll be able to contact my dad, Ayla" Zak said looking at the only exit/entrance they had hearing the moths calls echo throughout the entity of the city wondering if his dad would be fine on his own. However Ayla on the other hand wasn't doing as good as she slowly slid her bleeding body down the wall, with a singular hand that was covering a deep opened wound around her abdomen that Ava had inflicted on her during the intense fight they had, Zak didn't hear other than her butt or something dropping the floor beside him. "Ayla?" He confusingly questioned before looking in the opposite direction of the exit, not seeing her stood up before eventually making him quickly glance down seeing her sat down against the wall lowly groaning in pain making him shoot down in front of her realising exactly what was happening. "Are you alright?!" He exclaimed growing increasingly worried as she looked at him rather confused knowing for a fact that he hadn't just asked that. Upon moving the hand that was hiding the wound he was instantly met with blood a shit tone of blood, but where the source was coming from it wasn't looking good for her. "No, no, no!" He continued to panicking while trying his best to apply pressure on the wound with his bare hands while also immediately contacting his father on the situation sharing his co-ordinance needing his help ASAP. "Just stay with me, Ayla! My dad's coming and you'll be as good as new in no time.. *whispers to himself* come on where are you" Zak said seeing that she was fazing in and out of unconsciousness as the pain was the only thing keeping her from passing out from potential blood-loss.

In minutes a set of heavy footsteps could be heard rushing over to the hide hole as Doc rushed in seeing the situation and Zak's hands completely covered in Ayla's blood as a puddle was beginning to form below her at rapid speed before instantly taking complete control of the situation.

"Luckily I brought some coverage bandages, but Ayla.. I need to burn the wound shut as it's going to burn and is the only option we have left or you'll die" Doc honestly replied seeing how dazed she was before weakly placing her hand on top of his willing to go through with it if it means enduring one of the most painful things she'll have to endure so far. A metal knife was found, cleaned and heated to surprisingly high temperatures in the hands of a responsible adult as he exhaled getting the courage he needed to place the flat side against this kid's open wound. "Whatever I'm about to do is going to leave quite a scar, but it's in order to save your life so you're free to squeeze my arm or bite me if it helps you" He suggested to her as if he didn't give a single care in the world if she were to crush or bite him as since what he's about to do will hurt 10x more than some little bite is going to inflict.

Within seconds the burning hot knife made contact with the opened bloody wound as she bit her lip hard while clenching her hand on his armour digging her nails into it, permanently leaving a deep looking claw scratch on his armour that was keeping Doc protected from what could've been his bare skin, as smoke became visible leaving the knife that was kept on her skin planning to keep it there until the wound is completely sealed shut.

The agonising sounds she made while holding in her screams tortured them for minutes before it was actually removed as she placed her head against his shoulder heavily breathing at the verge of passing out from holding her breath for too long, enduring one of the most intense pain she could've went through, but she knew that this was just the beginning.

"Is it done? Is she going to be alright?" Zak asked visibly concerned for his friend as Doc carefully picked Ayla up in his arms unsure of what he did, but it could only buy them enough time if they want to ensure that she were to live another day.

"I am unsure, but we shouldn't be wasting time like this and get her back to HQ as soon as possible, so her wounds can be properly seen to before time runs out" Doc replied in a hurry not wanting to waste anymore precious time and get Ayla professional help as for all they know she could potentially be internally bleeding at this very moment and they wouldn't know about it before it's too late.

However, somewhere else Monday wasn't having it easy either since Ava too was in the state as Ayla and was forced to carry her through the city, hiding from an humongous moth that was possibly thirsty for fresh flesh and warm juicy blood.

"If you hadn't gotten so mad then maybe we wouldn't be in such a risky predicament" Monday complained talking to himself while Ava was completely out of it not aware of what was happening around her. "If I hadn't fought herself then you wouldn't be dying right now" Blaming himself for his friend's injuries is odd since, when has he ever felt sympathy for anyone? Is he actually as heartless as we thought he was? her blood was going all over his hands while successfully vacating into a nearby still standing building and in amazing condition too which to him was odd, as he rushed inside laying her down on a sofa tainting it in her red blood while Monday rushed about in search for something to at least stop the bleeding before she bleeds out. "come on! Where is the goddamn med-kit when you need it! Who wouldn't have one lying around?" Yelling to himself before going into the kitchen hearing the moth literally just outside of the house searching for them knowing the city far more better than anyone.

The moth's cries could be heard for several miles deafening those who get too close to this terrifying creature, as it now has several sets of razor sharp teeth with saliva dripping from its mouth search for the thing its loves the most.. dead skin and fresh warm blooded prey to satisfy its monstrous hunger, who knows how many people it had ate to get that big. Monday was able to find a med-kit and instantly start doing what he thought was right, using disinfectant to clean the wound as she hissed feeling liquid burn into her skin before beginning to carefully stitch the ones that were too deep to be left open and then heal on their own.

"That fucking stings, you idiot" Ava mumbled half awake with an arm over her forehead as Monday sat on a sofa that was facing her carefully watching her every move to ensure that no stitches come undone.

"What did you want me to do? let you die? I ain't letting a gem waste away especially when you belong to me.." He replied already taking claim in her as she glanced to her right seeing him smiling at her, but it wasn't evil, it was pleasant and yet proved as if he wasn't joking about it. Ava didn't know how to reply remaining silent as he stood up from the sofa walking over to her before parking his butt beside her waits on the sofa placing a hand on her forehead. "You're still quite feverish, but you'll be fine once that thing decides to leave us alone" checking her temperature as it was hotter than usual hearing him softly exhale as she groaned lazily before pushing his hand away, but in a split second he grabbed her wrist and pinned it against the side of the sofa. "Tsk, task, bad move, cupcake" He reminded her remaining dominant as she calmly stared up at him seeing that goofy smile she used to seeing despite loving the many other things about him than just his dominant side.

Monday used his other hand to lift up her chin exposing her neck as he went in giving her a mix of gentle and rough kisses, in which she seemed to love most allowing him to feast upon her using the other hand she had free to clench onto his black short sleeved shirt.

"You are too much.. Zak" She mumbled as he grabbed her other hand pulling it up joining it with the other bounding them together with his left hand allowing the free hand to go wherever it pleased while he remained feasting on her soft tender skin.

Back at the underground base Ayla was instantly taken for immediate medical attention allowing Drew to properly tend to the wounds and see if the poor girl was internally bleeding, and luckily for her that wasn't the case anymore.

However, for Zak he was on babysitting duty making sure that Ayla doesn't do anything that could potentially pull out her stitches whilst they're away on patrol, until they get back in a few days time. Ben stuck around hearing about the gossip from Zak due to the picture he took of Ayla beating Monday's ass before Ava interrupted just moments later.

"So, what is this thing you wanted to show me?" Ben questioned while Ayla stayed relaxed on a nearby beanbag chilling as she looked around for anything to pass the time. Zak pulled out his phone showing Ben the image he took shocking the alien sifting hero. "Dude?! When did this happen? And why wasn't I invited to tag along?!" He was furious and completely bummed out that he had missed on such an opportunity to witness a shocking comeback of the century.

"This happened today, idiot. And to add to that, you declined my offer on joining us and therefore you missed it. Karma is a bitch" Zak reminded him as Ben sighed glancing back at the beanbag Ayla was sat in before realising that she seemed to have become rather unsettled about something. "Um, Zak. Something up with Ayla? She's acting really weird" Ben pointed out while placing a hand on  his pals shoulder causing him to turn around seeing her shook up from the beanbag in a panicked state.

"What the..?" Zak mumbled before walking up to her instantly concluding that it might be that she still isn't used to his parents going on patrol and leaving them in the base until they return, but it could be caused by something else entirely.

"Something is here.. a powerful, dangerous creature is roaming outside.." Ayla began to mumble as a new sense within her awakened just after this creature entered through a familiar looking portal as it looked nothing like the EVOs that are ruling over in this current time and age.

"You can sense it? Try to close your eyes and see what this creature looks like, how far away it is from the base as well as my parents" Zak suggested unsure that his method would do them any good, but she did exactly what he asked blocking all noises as her entire mind went black concentrating on this one creature while it travelled high in the sky without the use of wings. However, in sheer luck Ayla managed to get a glimpse of this Chinese dragon like beast as its scales were golden as its underbelly was snow white, its autumn orange like fur that went down from its head to tail, behind both front and back legs flowed and glowed elegantly in the wind like a never ending flame. Its claws were sharp as daggers as its size was 4x bigger than what the longest normal Chinese dragon would be which makes this creature far more dangerous than anything they have come across so far and can slay that mutant moth with ease.

(The art isn't mine, but this is what the creature was referenced from. However, use your imagination and make it seem scarier than you see it to be)

"It's very scary looking.. *grabs Zak's wrist accidently allowing him to see this creature*" Ayla nervously mumbled as his eyes widened when seeing this creature knowing by the look of it this was no ordinary Chinese dragon as its size alone proved otherwise.

However, before Zak could even speak the creature glanced came to a halt and in a swift motion glanced straight at them as if it could sense them causing a gust of force to yank Zak away from Ayla leaving it to be just her at this magnificent creature.

"What just happened, man? You're literally sweating" Ben pointed out as Ayla remained connected refusing to let this creature win no matter how frightened she was as it stared deeply into her soul now all alone with this possible threat.

The dragon seemed to become less tense as if her energy gave it comfort before too joining her in to what she will know as the spiritual realm, a place that only her kind can connect through using their magic and separate the soul from the body for protection purposes.

"It has been awhile since I've connect with another like yourself, little Whelp" it spoke to her in a language no human would be able to understand without proper teacher as even Ayla was left speechless on hearing its voice, it was deep and yet soothing a voice that seemed to be oddly familiar, but she wasn't born long enough in the realm to know who this creature is or how he seemed to know her. "I'm just glad to finally sense a trusting familiar presence.."

"Whelp? What's that? And how are you talking to me? You're a dragon and you're talking to me, am I hallucinating?" she replied as no one on the other side could hear her making this conversation private and between them. The dragon seemed to sigh upon hearing her response clearly unaware of what is truly hiding underneath that human skin she chooses to think is her true identity.

"You truly are clueless aren't you? However, I can't give away the answers you seek as you must find that out for yourself, little Whelp. All in good times, and don't trust anyone who may look suspicious. They might hurt your little human friend" his little warning startled her as Zak shook Ayla back into her body again seeing the confusion come onto the girl's face he wondered what truly happened during his absence.

"Ayla, are you okay?!" Zak exclaimed still sweating as she glanced up at him seeing her confused expression, unsure of how to piece together of what exactly had just happened between her and the dragon.

"I-I'm fine.." Ayla quietly replied as she gently pushed Zak back trying to get a hold of what she had just seen, but it only left more unsolved questions than answers.

However, a odd little surge of electricity traveled in light speed throughout her body, as something deep lurked deep within her heart and soul, began to slowly awaken a dangerous power that is soon to be unleashed. Ayla quickly began to look around her body starting with the feet as the two boys glanced at her confused as if she had completely lost it.

"Great.. she's gone crazy" Ben instantly suggested not thinking for another second that something could be wrong, but it was Ayla being Ayla.

"Can't blame her, she came face to face with a Chinese Dragon. It was huge, oddly beautiful and very dangerous. Surely you would feel the same?" Zak stepped up for Ayla, as she sighed behind them while being defended even though Zak too saw the beast, but couldn't understand why or how it could see them.

"I fight aliens on a daily basis, why would a dragon scare me?" Ben replied slightly showing off when out of nowhere, Ayla began to groan in pain while both of her hands held tightly around her head as if she was in agonising pain. "Uh, Zak.." he looked over his friend's shoulder as Ayla dropped to her knees forcing Zak to instantly turn around not hearing the sudden sounds that were echoing through her mind, as that same electric surge could be seen rushing through her body again before more of them were seen looping while stands of electricity shot off from nearby by wires and games, as everything began to drain out of its power causing lights to slowly fade out and turn back on several times until every light in the entire room exploded into millions of shards that scattered the floor beneath them.

"Ayla.. what did that thing do to you?" Zak called out while carefully stepping back as her elbows hit the ground bringing her head along with clenching a handful of hair as razor sharp claws could be seen beginning to grow from her fingertips, little black horns forming on the top of her head where most girls wear headbands while snow white soft and fluffy looking mane could be seen out ground around her neck and collarbone. "Wait a minute.. is she transforming?!" he exclaimed as Ben yanked him back keeping a safe distance for the time being, but once her wings and long, slick, non scaled tail popped out and the size of her body began to grow things weren't looking good for them if this was to be her first beast form.

"You didn't tell me she could do this?! Why didn't you tell me?!" Ben began to panic as Ayla was barely recognisable looking more animal like than they expected, but what was she?

Explanation-*read back into chapter one if you want to know more of how different she is from the picture displayed below as her size is 3 times the size she in the picture as her teen size isn't 2m in length, it's 3 times in both length and height, but when not in her home realm Ayla's size is almost 1/2 doubled than it's supposed to be. Once fully grown she is double of her original teen size depending what her genetics are, but the red marks on her body are golden not red, include faded gold on the very end of her mane, wings and neck fluff with unnoticable golden specs on some parts of her snow white fur that only glissen under the moonlight*

Once her transformation was complete Ayla had no control of herself as she roared loudly causing Zak and Ben to desperately close their ears until it was done. A new legend has risen from its clutches, but what destiny awaits for this beasty beauty?
