Mizushi's secret

While Mizushi and Laís were sitting outside the small hut they had built on the island, the sun was shining brightly in the cloudless sky. The fresh sea breeze was blowing gently, bringing with it the smell of salt and fresh fish that were caught daily by the island's residents. (Yes! They managed to keep their food survivals).

The sound of the waves crashing on the nearby beach echoed through the air, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Despite the pleasant weather, Mizushi was still uneasy.

He was looking nervously at the horizon as if he was waiting for something or someone. Laís noticed the concern on his face and asked: "What's going on, Mizushi? Why are you so tense?"

Mizushi looked at Laís and said: "I'm worried about our safety, Laís. I have a feeling that someone might find us here."

Laís frowned and said, "Why would anyone want to find us? We're safe here, Mizushi."

Laís had a thoughtful expression on her face. She could feel that something was bothering him, and asked, "What's going on? You look worried."

Mizushi sighed heavily before replying, "I have to tell you something, Laís. Something I've been holding back for a long time."

Laís put her hand on Mizushi's shoulder and said: "You can tell me, I'm here to listen to you."

Laís looked at Mizushi with curiosity and asked: "Mizushi, what's going on? Why are you so restless?"

Mizushi sighed and looked at the floor for a moment before finally turning around to face Laís. "Laís, I have to tell you something. Something I've been keeping for a long time."

Laís put her hand on Mizushi's shoulder, worried. "What is it, Mizushi? You're scaring me."

Mizushi took a deep breath and began to speak in a low and hesitant voice: "Laís, I have something to tell you about my life before I met you. Something I don't have the courage to admit. Something that will change the way you see me. see."

Lais frowned, confused. "What are you talking about, Mizushi? What could be so bad?"

Mizushi scratched the back of his head and said: "I... I come from a very rich family, Laís. I never told anyone, but I inherited a fortune when my father passed away. I lived a luxurious life before joining my family. jobs in the city, but I wasn't happy. I decided to leave all that behind and start my life over, but now... Now I don't know what to do with that money. I don't know how to tell you, Laís. I have afraid that you'll judge me or want me to go back to that empty life I used to have."

Lisa's eyes widened in surprise. "Mizushi, I didn't know that. But why do you think I would judge you? We love each other and we support each other no matter what happens. If you have money, it doesn't change anything between us. We can use that money to build a better future for us and our son."

Mizushi sighed in relief, but he was still hesitant. "I know you're right, Laís. I want to share everything with you, but it's hard for me to leave this part of my past life behind. I need some time to get used to this idea and open myself completely to you. Can you give me that time?"

Laís smiled and said: "Of course, Mizushi. I'll give you all the time you need. I'll be here for you, always."

Mizushi looked at Laís with relief, but he still felt a weight on his chest. He knew he needed to be honest with her about her wealth, but he also feared the consequences of revealing her true identity.

"Laís, I'm afraid that other people will find out about my fortune. I've always tried to keep it a secret, but now that I have wealth under my belt, I feel like I'm more exposed than ever. I'm afraid that people will approach me just for the money, not for my personality or my character", Mizushi said with a worried voice.

Laís looked at Mizushi tenderly and held her hands. "Mizushi, I understand your fears, but don't let that stop you from living your life. You've worked hard to get where you are, and your wealth doesn't define who you are. If someone approaches you just for the money, it's because that person doesn't deserve your attention. You have a lot to offer besides your wealth."

Mizushi smiled at Laís, grateful for her words of comfort. "You're right, Laís. I can't let fear paralyze me. I need to move on and face the consequences of having a fortune. I just hope you stay by my side on this journey, because I can't do it alone ."

Laís squeezed Mizushi's hands tighter and said: "I'll always be by your side, Mizushi. We're a team, and we'll overcome any challenge together. I love you."

Laís looked at Mizushi with a questioning expression. "Mizushi, if you have so much wealth, why don't you invest in getting out of this town? Why don't we take refuge in another country and leave it all behind?"

Mizushi sighed, knowing this was a difficult question to answer. "Laís, I would love to do that, but you know this city is a very dangerous place. The borders are isolated and controlled by dangerous gangs. We can't just leave here just because of the money."

Laís frowned, worried about Mizushi's answer. "But what if something happens to us here? Wouldn't it be better to get away from these dangers?"

Mizushi put a hand on Laís's shoulder, trying to calm her down. "I understand your concern, Laís, but we need to face reality. We can't just run away from this city just because it's dangerous. I have a responsibility to the people here, and I can't abandon them. I have to fight to make this city a better place for everyone."

Mizushi nodded in agreement. "Thank you, Laís. I know that together we can overcome anything."

Lisa smiled back. "Certainly, Mizushi. Together we are stronger."

They were silent for a few moments, watching the sunset over the island. It was a moment of tranquility amidst the turmoil they faced in their lives. But they were determined to keep fighting, believing that one day they would be able to change the reality of the city.

"Shall we go for a walk with our son?" suggested Mizushi.

Laís nodded, excited. "Yes, let's go. He'll love watching the sunset with us."
