The leader's final move had been a desperate one. He had signaled the hidden assassin to destroy the covey, and in a blink of an eye, it had fallen off the cliff, leaving behind nothing but smoke and flames. The leader cackled with delight.
But as he turned to face Feng Yuansheng, he noticed something peculiar. Feng Yuansheng's expression remained placid, devoid of any emotion. The leader's eyes darted back towards the cliff, trying to catch a glimpse of the fallen covey.
"You are mistaken," Feng Yuansheng said calmly, breaking the leader's concentration. "Your mission have failed."
The leader furrowed his brow, puzzled. "What are you talking about? The covey is gone. Your nephew is dead."
Just then, a helicopter landed nearby, and a figure emerged from within. It was Captain Liang Jun. "Sir," he announced. "Young master Yun is safe. He's already at the airport with secretary Li Ming."
The leader's eyes widened in disbelief. "That's impossible," he stammered.
Liang Jun's expression remained stoic. "It's true. And now, we have orders to capture all the members of the Shadow Order present here."
The leader watched in shock as the military swarmed the area, apprehending each individual one by one.
As the leader watched his men get taken down one by one, he felt utterly defeated. Turning to Feng Yuansheng, he asked, "How did you manage all of this?". He wondered how they had failed so miserably.
Feng Yuansheng smirked and turned around to leave.
Liang Hao struggled against the ropes that bound him, his eyes wild with desperation as he called out to his brother Liang Jun.
"Big brother Jun, please! You have to untie me!" he pleaded; his voice strained.
Captain Liang Jun's face remained stoic as he regarded his brother. "I don't know who you are," he said coldly, turning his attention to the soldiers under his command. "Tie him back up."
Liang Hao's heart sank as he watched his brother turn away. So heartless!!
The mission had been successful and they had successfully captured the Shadow order. Originally, Liang Hao and his team were enough to subdue and capture the assassins, but it would have alerted the enemy. So, they had to play the part of becoming captives to delay the enemy and give Young Master Yun enough time to reach the airport safely.
The Shadow Order were the notorious group back at their country. They had come all the way to the Nation A, to kill Yun Cheng. The military had to interfere, else it would have turn into an international dispute.
Meanwhile, Feng Yuansheng's bodyguards stood at the ready, waiting for Liang Hao's signal to take
Liang Hao swiftly freed himself from the ropes, and his men followed suit. They stood at attention, awaiting their leader's orders.
"Clean up this mess," Liang Hao commanded, gesturing to the wreckage of the destroyed convoy. "And let's get out of here before any more of those Shadow Order shows up."
As his men went to work, Liang Hao couldn't help but angry at his big brother. This was the first time they had worked together on a mission, and instead of acknowledging him, his brother had turned his back on him. What a self-centred jerk!! Hmph!!

Feng Yuansheng reached at the airport. As he made his way into the airport, he was greeted by his nephew, Yun Cheng. The young boy was ecstatic to see his uncle and leaped onto him, clinging to his leg like an accessory.
"Third Uncle, you are back!", Yun Cheng latched onto him, refusing to let go. Feng Yuansheng picked him up and headed inside.
Just then, Feng Yuansheng's phone rang, and he answered it, annoyed by the interruption. It was his older brother, Feng Yuanshuai, on the other end. "Is everything done?" Feng Yuanshuai asked.
Feng Yuansheng grunted in response, not in the mood for his brother's nagging. "Even as the youngest Major General, I am being bossed around by my younger brother," Feng Yuanshuai replied, mocking him. "How laughable it would be if my colleagues knew about this!"
Feng Yuansheng had had enough and hung up the phone without another word, leaving Feng Yuanshuai fuming at his younger brother's reaction. Feng Yuansheng, you just wait!!
Just then a soft hand rested on his shoulder, calming him instantly. He turned around to see his beautiful wife, Yang Xiaoli, standing there. "Why aren't you wearing your shoes? The floor is cold," he said to her, trying to change the subject.
"I want to go out and meet Yun Cheng," Yang Xiaoli said, getting straight to the point. "Why do you keep delaying me?"
Feng Yuanshuai hesitated, knowing that his wife had a point. "I just don't want you to overexert yourself," he said, trying to be reasonable.
Yang Xia raised an eyebrow at his quick change in demeanour and turned around, ignoring him. Feng Yuanshuai knew he had messed up and ran after her, trying to coax her. However, Yang Xia was angry at his overreaction.
"I'm only one month pregnant, and you won't even let me go out to meet our nephew? You're being ridiculous!" she exclaimed; her frustration evident.
That night, the Major General had to sleep outside the bedroom.

Jiang Yan was packing up her bags at the hospital. Today was the day she would be leaving her Grandma Lui, also the day Grandma Lui will be discharged. Honestly, she wanted to take her along with her, but she knew she couldn't. Even though Aunt Lin and Ning Yue didn't treat her well, Ning Yaolan was her son. Grandma Lui couldn't just leave her son and go with her. And there was also the Jiang family. She had yet to take care of those people in that family. As the chauffer urged Jiang Yan to leave, Jiang Yan bid her final goodbye to Grandma Lui and Uncle Ning Yaolan.
As they approached the car, the chauffeur loaded Jiang Yan's bags into the trunk. Jiang Yan turned to say goodbye to Grandma Lui and Uncle Ning Yaolan once more before getting into the car.
"Take care, Grandma Lui. I will definitely call you whenever I feel alone. And don't worry, I will come back to visit you soon," Jiang Yan said with a smile.
Grandma Lui nodded; her eyes misty with tears. "Be careful on your way back. And take care of yourself, my dear," she replied, giving Jiang Yan a warm embrace.
Uncle Ning Yaolan patted Jiang Yan's back and handed her an envelope. "Here, take this. It's not much, but it should help you with your expenses," he said, his voice gentle.
Jiang Yan initially refused, but Ning Yaolan insisted. Jiang Yan hesitated for a moment, but then she took the envelope with a grateful smile. "Thank you, Uncle Yaolan. I appreciate it," she said, feeling a sense of warmth in her heart. Jiang Yan kept the money aside, silently promising herself that she would treat Uncle Ning Yaolan better in the future.
As Jiang Yan left the hospital, she couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness in her heart. She knew that her time with Grandma Lui was over, and she would be facing a new chapter of her life with the Jiang family.
'Jiang family, I am coming!'

Aunt Chen entered the living room, and with a bow, she addressed Madam Tian, "Madam, I have news. Young Miss will be arriving soon."
Madam Tian's expression turned sour, and she slammed her tea cup onto the ground, shattering it into tiny pieces. "That wretched girl," she said through gritted teeth. "She has caused enough damage to this family already."
Aunt Chen looked at the broken cup on the floor and then back at Madam Tian. "Shall I prepare a new cup of tea for you, Madam?"
"No, thank you," Madam Tian said as she tried to compose herself. "Just make sure everything is ready for that brat's arrival."
Aunt Chen nodded, her loyalty to Madam Tian unwavering. "As you wish, Madam. I will make sure that Young Miss knows her place in this house and does not overstep her boundaries."
Madam Tian's expression softened slightly as she looked at Aunt Chen. "Thank you, Aunt Chen. Your loyalty to our family is greatly appreciated."
Aunt Chen bowed her head. "It is my honour to serve you, Madam."
Madam Tian watched as Aunt Chen left the room before she turned her attention to her thoughts. She knew she had to be careful with Jiang Yan. The girl had caused enough trouble already, and Madam Tian was determined to remove her from the picture forever. She sipped her tea and smiled to herself; she will soon remove this thorn in her side.
