Chapter 92: Lost both the child

The morning light filtered through the windows, casting a pale glow in the dining room where Yun Cheng sat, engulfed in weariness and despondency. With each mechanical bite of his breakfast, sighs escaped his lips, his futile attempt to dispel the melancholy that clung to his heart.

Across the table, Feng Yuansheng remained immersed in his own world, engrossed in his coffee and the documents displayed on his tablet. Unaware of Yun Cheng's silent plea for attention, he continued scrutinizing the papers, the furrow on his brow deepening with each passing moment.

Yun Cheng's frustration grew, and he decided not to be overlooked any longer. He resorted to creating deliberate sounds, purposefully clinking his spoon against the bowl and slurping his cereal. He hoped these audible cues would catch his uncle's attention and compel him to acknowledge his presence.
