Soulmateless

"I'm going to be late. I'm going to start my job late," Amelia said, her white hair tied up in a ponytail as she hurriedly ran. Her shouts were muffled as she swallowed a small cupcake.

"Ryan would think I am irresponsible." Just as she turned a corner, she collided with someone and fell, landing butt-first on the ground with a thud.

"Ouch! It hurts, you..." Amelia winced in pain and glared at the person who had caused her fall. However, her words stuck in her throat.

The young man was covered in a dark hoodie that concealed his face, with only strands of his pitch-black hair peeking out. His obsidian black eyes, as deep and captivating as a starless night, left her utterly stunned.

For a moment, just a couple of seconds, she desired to possess those eyes. A strange attraction welled up inside her as if those eyes that looked at her with mild interest wanted to swallow her entire being.
