Overgrown slime

The monster had morphed into something that could no longer be called a monster but a demon from hell, and that demon was rapidly approaching Ryan.

What seemed to be the bone in its lower jaw moved, viscous dark liquid flowing down from it in a torrent of flowing mucus.

In the weak irregular flashes of lightning, Ryan was able to see and instantly register every tentacle, every shadow of its dead army and victims, every scratch, and every soul attached to the creature, forming its outer shell all connected with a disgustingly sticky mana.

It was almost majestic, in a terrifyingly murderous way.

Unable to move, he had to look helplessly as the demon closed the distance between them and loomed over his broken, bleeding body.

Looking up right into the monster's burning eyes, Ryan thought:

'I'm not dying here, you overgrown slime.'
