Excerpt: 

“ENOUGH!” I roar in my Alpha tone. “You will not put your hands on me! YOU….you will be the one to submit!” All of the waiters in the room dropped to their knees and bare their necks. I know I am a strong Alpha and try not to use my tone unless absolutely necessary. Even some of the Alphas watching have trouble remaining in their seats since I am easily stronger than many.

Mates: The Beginning

The last few days have been peaceful. Kehlani, Brooklyn, and I have been getting comfortable with our new daily routine. There have been conversations back and forth with the elders. Malachi violated the laws we go by. The trouble is, no one could find him or Stella. When they left our territory, they seemed to have disappeared. We have been on heavy patrol rotations just in case they show up. With the Beta and Alpha of the Blood Red pack being gone, the elders decided to dissolve the pack altogether. A few have joined our pack, and the rest have sought refuge elsewhere. 


I'm sitting in Kehlani's office working on some paperwork I agreed to help with. The door opens, and in walks my mate, Jax, and Melanie. "What's up everyone?" Kehlani sits on my lap at the desk, with Jax and Melanie sitting across from us. 


"We should discuss your ceremony," Kehlani says while running her hand through my hair.
