Murder

Chirp Chirp... It was a sunny morning in Dedham, a town in Massachusetts, US. I was sitting in a café enjoying my coffee, while waiting for my friends. It was a beautiful morning, and it was a different morning, but not different in good ways. It was like, I was feeling that something horrible was going to happen. Ting... The café door opened and all of my friends entered. They come to our regular table.

We are 7 friends. Alex Duke, Oliver Williams, Ethan Martinez, Grace Lopez, Nora Lee, Lily Allen, and me Loveena Froste. We were great friends group, and we all are together from college time, Lily and I knew each other from the very small age our parents knew each other, they were friends and that's how we are best friends.

We went to the same school, the same college, and there we met our other friends. And from that time we all are together, and now we work together too.

Alex is a doctor. Oliver is an inspector. Ethan is a physiologist. Grace is a psychiatrist. Nora is a Forensic Science Specialist. Lily and I are the Criminologist and a part-time Detective.

"Hey girl, how are you? What's the matter? Why did you call us here early in the morning?" Oliver asked while giving a high five.

I look at my watch, and he was saying right, it was really early in the morning as it was only 7 O'clock. "Hey buddy, I'm good, thanks. I wanted to tell you something, and it is really terrible. " I spoke while we all were greeting each other with high 5's and hugs.

"What happened? You don't look well. " Lily asked.

"Something horrible happened yesterday. So only I called everyone this early. I have many things to discuss with you all today because we need to work together. "

"Calm down, girl. Let's order something, then we will discuss it. " Alex said.

"Yeah, Alex is right, I'm hungry. " Ethan said.

We give our orders. "So what happened? "Grace asked.

"Last night...."

Last night at 9:30pm

It was raining hard for the last half hour, I was scrolling my Facebook laying on my bed, and suddenly the lights went out. I got up and lit up a candle. I stood on the balcony and saw that, there were lights in the city. I got so confused, and after an hour or so lights came, but the most confusing thing was that why do others didn't have lights out?

Mostly when the lights went out at that time, everywhere lights go out, but today's incident was very odd. I went to sleep while thinking about everything.

Next Day

I woke up to the sound of the doorbell. I groan loudly and woke up, and look at my phone, there were 7 missed calls from Officer Fred. I woke up and run to open the door, there were 2 officers standing there.

"Good Morning, Miss. Froste. I'm Officer Ben, and this is Officer James. Sorry to disturb you, but Officer Fred told us to take your help, so can you please come with us? " Officer Ben said.

"Ok, give me a few minutes, and I'll be down. " I said and closed the door with loud bang I rushed to bathroom, and in 5 minutes I was downstairs. I got down, and the cool wind hit my face and hands. I took a deep breath and approached the Officers. "Good Morning, Officers, let's go. " I said with a bright smile. I looked around and noticed a police car was standing, and an ambulance. I remembered all the incidents from last night. "What is the victim age? Found the murder weapon? Who informed the murder? " I asked as we walked towards the house.

"How do you know it is a murder case ? " Officer James asked.

"A very simple thing, Officer. Fred never call me if it's not a murder case. Second thing, if we think practically, if it was a robbery then the ambulance wouldn't been here as it was just a robbery, if the owner was hurt then that person would have been sitting out here, but no one is here. If attempted murder then the ambulance would have rushed to the hospital, but no it's still standing here, so it is clear it's a murder case."

Both officers were shocked and amused, on inside I was too happy. I love it when people get amused because of me. I followed them inside, Officer James handed me gloves, and we headed straight to the bathroom. While climbing the stairs, I noticed that there were blood drops on every stair, it was a weird thing.

"You didn't answer my question, Officer Ben." I asked as I looked around the living room. I never knew who were living there, as I was shifted there a week ago. I spent most of the time with Lily, so I never got a chance to get to know the neighbors.
