CHAPTER 5

Jenna reached her fifteenth birthday, Mark was so proud of his daughter, good student, good daughter, no boyfriends, she said that first she wanted to be someone in life and then have a boyfriend, it was her initiative, her whole family was very happy with what she had decided to do.

The reception was going to be in a luxurious place, everything was already prepared, her grandparents were waiting for her arrival in company of her father, Alice was finishing dressing her up as well as some classmates from the High School who loved her very much and were her most loyal friends.

Mark was very impatient he wanted to take her already and present her to society as his beautiful daughter already turned into a young lady, he had a small toast on behalf of his daughter, when Jenna came out of her room with that beautiful fitted dress, it was not pink as traditionally used she did not want that, she wanted a ball gown that was beautiful, her father marveled to see her all a woman he could not hold it and said:

"My little princess is already a whole woman, you look beautiful I'm going to be like a lion taking care of her cub". To which Jenna replied.

"Daddy, don't say that, you don't need to take care of me, I know what I want and falling in love I don't want it."

"Oh okay let's go now, they are waiting for us" he gave her his hand and they left the mansion, Alice also accompanied them, Jenna was beaming and happy.

When they arrived there was an immense buzz, when she got out of the car she was received with a loud applause, when she entered with her father's arm inside the applause was immediate, the song chosen was one of Jenna's favorites, her companion that night was Christopher, one of her friends, he received her from her father and took her to present her to the guests giving a roll around the dance floor and everyone applauding, she sat at the main table, then her father positioned himself on the podium to make the toast and began

'For a father like me there are princesses and you are one of them.

You are the light of my eyes and I celebrate every step you take because you fill me with pride and I admire you for being so young.

and I admire you for being so young and with so many illusions for your future.

I wish for you, that you have an existence full of pleasant moments,

I am also sure that you will know how to face those that will come in your future

with a lot of maturity and sanity'.

I want you to be an exemplary woman and that you always conduct yourself correctly through your life.

You are my adoration and I wish you a happy birthday, my princess of my heart.'

'Cheers'

And everyone answered 'cheers' and raised their glasses to toast, then it was applause, the waltz started and father and daughter came out to dance, they looked cute both dancing, Alice was happy to see her beautiful girl dancing with her father who was her adoration.

Mark and Judith's parents were very happy admiring their dance, the comments of what Jenna had said, were of approval knowing what had been her decision to get over herself first and not give room for any feelings for the opposite sex.

When they finished dancing they sat at the table to share pleasant moments, then Jenna was invited to dance with some young people, she was quiet in her party, she went to the bathroom alone for a moment, when she came out someone cornered her against the wall wanting to kiss her, she looked up and it was Diego, a partner who was always interested in her, but she always refused because of her principles, she pushed him putting her hands on the chest of the young man who said excitedly

"Just a kiss Jenna, it's just a kiss why don't you want to? You know I love you I've always told you that."

Jenna was scared because the bathrooms were a little far from the dance floor, but she only managed to watch the boy's body fly off to the side and hit the floor and her father's voice.

"What's wrong with you? Get out of here if you don't want to receive a punishment from me, get out".

Diego took off in a huff, disappeared from there quickly, leaving father and daughter hugging and Jenna trembling from the bad time she had suffered even though her father commented.

"I saw you coming here and I chose to see how you were doing, please, daughter, come with Alice, don't come alone".

"It's ok daddy what a scare, that stupid I have always told him no, but he doesn't understand".

"You are different from the others daughter, that's why they find it strange and confuse decency with prudishness, they think that maybe you think you are very saintly and don't break a plate".

Jenna understood what her father wanted to tell her, she hugged him and they returned to the party that continued in a calm tone, Alice went with Jenna wherever she went when she found out what happened.

At the end of the party only the family was left, the rest of the guests had already left, they talked and laughed, the birthday girl felt good, her family was always with her, she hugged all her grandparents, then she was sitting next to Mark and said sadly

"I would have liked my mom to be here" Those words made her father hug her and said.

"She will always be with us love, here in our hearts".

Those words were enough to make her feel calm and happy, when they got home they sat in the living room for a moment, Alice went to the kitchen to bring them all coffee, they were praising her of her beautiful dance to Jenna, she started dancing there in the middle of them who were clapping her amused.

"My pretty Jenna you dance just like your mother", said Clara.

"That's right Judith danced that way as a young girl, my darling granddaughter is going to be just like her mother, beautiful and smart," Dereck said proudly.

Mark stood up shook his daughter's hand and commented "Let's dance this bolero daughter, I want to remember when I danced with your mom do you remember sitting there watching us?"

Jenna smiled saying "Yes and I would clap for you when you finished dancing, you looked good as a couple dancing, you loved my mom and she loved you." Mark was glad to hear it and added.

"I still love her Jenna, she will always be the love of my life." Jenna noticed that her father always had the work at home routine and asked.

"Daddy did you ever fall in love with another woman?". Mark was taken aback by the question, but responded quickly.

"No daughter and I won't either, I prefer to be alone if it's not her it will be no one". As he finished saying those words Jenna hugged him tightly saying.

"Thank you daddy for always loving my mommy, I love my mommy the same way" to which they both looked at each other smiling in innocent complicity of father and daughter.

Alice returned with the coffees and they all sat down to taste it, they continued to talk about the party until sleep made them all go to sleep.

Her maternal grandmother Juliet started to take her to the Chef school, she was well received because she showed a great talent, besides her grandfather Marcus paid for her school, she was very happy she was fulfilling one of her dreams.

She practiced at home, Mark and Alice tasted Jenna's tasty meals, the atmosphere was so fun, happy and familiar in that house, when the grandparents visited them it was a full house and they ate in the back, Jenna was becoming a culinary specialist.

She was already in her last year of high school, for her high grades she had won a juicy scholarship for college, she wanted to study business administration and marketing, being accepted in both. Her family was very happy, but Diego intercepted her in the corridor to tell her.

"Jenna please accept me as your boyfriend, I am after you for years, woman I have no bad intentions I love you, you haven't had anyone for all these years, why don't you want to?"

Jenna looked at him closely very angry and spoke.

"Diego I don't want anything boyfriend, my dad needs me by his side, neither has he had a girlfriend for me, to protect me and I do the same thing I want him to live peacefully I just want to give him my achievements as a gift, he understands I have scholarships for college for my studies, so you must already realize that I don't want a boyfriend bye."

Those hard words knocked him out in his mind, they were definitive words, he just sat down to sob in view of everyone who was around, they thought they would laugh, but seeing him suffer for love they better left from there, Cristopher was a good friend of Jenna and he understood her too Diego, he sat down next to him to offer him his shoulder to comfort him and listening to him say

"I lost her friend she doesn't love me, Jenna doesn't love me". His friend replied.

"But Diego you knew this already, I told you years ago, she doesn't want a boyfriend, I told you not to chase her or harass her because it was for nothing buddy, bah man calm down you'll find a love someday."

"But never like her my friend, she was always tender and innocent with good feelings, there are almost no women like that".

Diego had to resign himself to get her out of his mind and feelings, because it would be in vain, he went on with his life and sooner or later he would find a woman who would love him.

Instead, Jenna graduated with the highest honors, the graduation party was intense she danced some pieces with her father, her grandparents, some friends, it was something beautiful she was the focus of attention and more because she had prepared the food served at the reception and everyone complimented the taste.

Seeing them dance together was beautiful for everyone, there was a camaraderie and brotherly love between the two, a unique trust, they seemed to remember his wife and mother, because sometimes in the imagination they looked at Mark and Judith dancing, every day more Jenna looked like her mother, even in gestures.

She danced with her grandparents who found it difficult to follow her steps because of their youth, but she was so happy that she encouraged them to continue dancing, she was so happy with her family.

Marck dressed in his black jacket, navy blue tie, white shirt and black shoes with his Cartier watch and a beautiful gold chain around his neck exuded elegance, virility, attractiveness some women were so daring that they asked him to dance, he did it but always cautious to their insinuations, he smiled listening to them what they gave him for the bed, they put cards in his pockets with the room number of the Hotel or of their houses those who lived alone, he was already very used to them he handled them very well.

Sometimes Jenna would go to rescue him from the seductive clutches of all those daring women, Mark loved it when his daughter did that, it amused him a lot.

When they returned home the anecdotes were many and they applauded the rescuer of the year, Jenna strutted around the living room happy to rescue her dad from those greedy women, and almost at midnight Dereck got up and said.

"Jenna you are our adored granddaughter, now you must go to study college, we are proud of your well-deserved scholarships for your quality of study, we know you will keep as always your grades very high, but next week you join Chef and that must be celebrated with a big party, son a few words for your princess."

Dereck sat next to Carla holding hands, watching Marck, his son, get up very cheerful he stood in the middle and began to speak.

"Jenna my daughter you have filled me with pride, you have dedicated yourself to being valedictorian with full honors, I thank you for not getting carried away with superficialities, but we are going to have the first Black's Chef so congratulations my princess, we will have a big feast for you my love."

"Thank you daddy, thank you all I know how much you love me, for you, for my daddy and for me I strive to be the best, thank you."

Jenna hugged all of her family and they were all in the middle of the hugging, including Alice who was considered a member of the family.

Well, she would go to college without knowing that there through her fraternity she would know things that she never imagined, things that would take her without even wishing it to have unheard of carnal pleasures, blind dates where the requirement was absolute silence and a very closed mask to be unrecognizable to anyone, no one knew about this, only the great magnates who were the clients, but they did not know who they had in front of them and the students of this college only for millionaires, who enjoyed pleasures with their dates.
