XLII.

The funeral was private. The only ones in attendance beside Stuart were Olive, whose mother was left in care of the Edinburgh hospital, Erwing, Carol and Loreley. There was no priest. It wasn´t a ceremony at all, but an intimate farewell and, though the presence of the well-known people gave him some support, Stuart felt as if it was his and Regina´s last tete-a-tete meeting.

Stuart was going to stay with his family for a while, but this time he won´t run away from them. He could hardly believe, after everything that had happened, they still wanted him in their company.
