But the older man's expression darkened, his gaze piercing through Marcus with an intensity that sent a shiver down his spine. "Don't underestimate him, Marcus," he warned, his voice low and foreboding. "Alexander is not like other men. He's ruthless, relentless. He won't stop until he's crushed every obstacle in his path."
Of course, Marcus knew who Alexander was and what that man could do yet he disregarded all of his warnings
Marcus's cocky demeanour masked a flicker of doubt that gnawed at the edges of his confidence. He waved off the older man's cautionary words with a dismissive gesture, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips.
"Come on, old man," Marcus scoffed, a hint of arrogance lacing his tone. "You worry too much. We've got this under control. Alexander may think he's untouchable, but everyone has their weaknesses. We just need to find his and exploit them."
