Stay with me

Cindy could feel the tension in Alexander's body as they remained locked in their embrace, the darkness of the room pressing in around them. She knew something had deeply unsettled him, but for now, all she wanted was to be there for him—to offer comfort, warmth, and reassurance. Slowly, she turned in his arms, her back now pressing against his broad chest, and she allowed herself to sink into the feeling of his presence.

His breathing was still heavy, but as she moved, she could feel it start to slow, calming just a bit as he inhaled the familiar scent of her hair. She tilted her head slightly, giving him better access to nuzzle his face into her neck, which he did almost immediately. The warmth of his breath against her skin sent a shiver down her spine, one that had nothing to do with the cold air coming from the open window.
