Gianna's eyes narrowed, her expression hardening. "You don't know that," she snapped. "I've known Alexander far longer than she has. He's just... confused."
John shook his head, a mix of pity and frustration in his eyes. "Gianna, you're only going to hurt yourself if you keep this up. Alexander isn't confused—he's made his choice. It's time for you to move on."
