Someone please do something

The crash echoed through the building like thunder, a terrifying, gut-wrenching sound that sent a chill down everyone's spine. Cindy's body felt like it had turned to lead, her legs unable to hold her weight as she slumped to the cold floor. Her vision blurred, her breaths coming in short, ragged gasps. She could faintly hear the concerned voices of people around her, their faces blurring in her tears.

"Ma'am, are you okay? Please, stay with us!" someone called out, their voice edged with urgency. Another pair of hands gently but firmly held her up, guiding her back to her feet as she struggled to process what was happening. Every face she looked at was marked by concern, their eyes searching hers for a semblance of understanding, but all Cindy could manage was a weak, stuttering gasp.
