Before anyone could react, Mr. 8 pulled back his bow tie and, from his hair, shot gun barrels out and shot five times at the pair of Baroque Works agents.
"You won't touch the princess as long as the Alabasta security captain is standing!" Mr. 8 shouted as he fired another five times.
"Princess Alabasta," said Luffy, looking at Ms. Wednesday. "I've heard that the princess is missing, but I never thought that she would disguise herself as a baroque worker," said Luffy.
"Don't princesses usually have underlings to do those kinds of things for them?" he asked.
"True, but Alabasta is currently in a civil war. "Maybe all of his subordinates joined the rebels," said Luffy jokingly.
"What will we do?" Yosaku asked as he stared at the spot where the two Baroque Works agents were shot before.
"Let's just watch for now," said Luffy as he turned around and faced them. "Nami is still robbing this place. "So we let them fight and distract them from Nami," Luffy said, causing them both to nod their heads before turning their attention back to the fight.
As the smoke cleared, everyone saw the two agents unharmed and unaffected by the gunshots.
"Come on, Princess! "You must run away immediately!" Mr. 8 shouted to Princess.
"Igaram!" The princess screamed. Then suddenly, one of the agents from within the smoke threw something at Igaram, which exploded on contact. "Igaram!" the princess cried once more as Igaram fell face first to the ground.
"Don't bother," came the voice of Ms. Valentine from above Vivi. Luffy looked up and saw the agent hovering in the air, looking at the princess.
"Looks like we met a pair of devil fruit users," said Luffy, surprising his three crew members. "If I have to, I will fight them," Luffy said, causing the three to nod before turning their attention back to the fight.
"Princess," Igaram choked as he lay down on the ground. "You must leave here for the sake of our kingdom." "If anything happens to you, our kingdom will be destroyed," he said, causing the princess's eyes to widen.
"If you think you can get away from us, you must be mad," said Mr. 5 while picking his nose.
"Kill me if you want to take me!" Vivi screamed as she took a defensive stance and started spinning something on her two little fingers. It was then that Mr. 9 got up and stood in front of the princess with his baseball bat at the ready to face the pair of agents.
"We have been partners and have fought together for a long time." "So go ahead; I will give you time to escape," said Mr. 9 to the princess.
"Thank you, Mr. 9," said the princess, causing Mr. 9 to laugh.
"You think quite the man, don't you?" he said before charging at the two agents. Mr. 5 then popped his nose and flicked it at Mr. 9.
The Upil shot through the air and hit Mr. 9 right in the face. The moment the Upil made contact with his face, it exploded, shocking everyone watching.
"Did that thing just come out of his nose?" Yosaku asked in disbelief.
"Well, that's quite a strange ability," said Luffy while looking at Mr. 5 with great interest while ignoring the princess's screams at Mr. 9. Luffy was stopped by the sound of Igaram seemingly crawling to the front of the bar, and he stared at them.
"Pirates, I have the most unreasonable request, but I need the help of someone with your powers." Luffy looked at her with a curious expression before jumping down from the roof towards Igaram.
"Oh, and what is that request?" Luffy asked as he sat on a nearby barrel and looked down at the bleeding man.
"Both villains have devil fruit powers, and there's nothing I can do to stop them." "So that's why I'm begging you: please protect Princess Vivi of Alabasta for me," he begged Luffy. Zoro and the bounty hunter duo were very surprised.
First, Mr. 8 tried to kill them, and now he wants them to protect a princess. Has he gone mad? Everyone was wondering about the bleeding man beseeching Luffy.
"And why should I do that, huh?" Luffy asked rhetorically. "You tried to kill me and my crew a while ago, and now you want me to save your daughter." "Give me one good reason why I should help you," said Luffy in his usual emotionless tone.
"You will get a big reward if you return the Arabasta princess to her kingdom." "I'm just a lowly servant, but I beg you to please protect the princess," he begged. Luffy just stared at him with his cold eyes before he scoffed.
"Gifts? Seriously, I know Alabasta is in the middle of a civil war. "You guys barely even have enough money for your kingdom, let alone gifts for me," Luffy said coldly, causing Igaram's head to fall off. "However," said Luffy, making Igaram look at him with eyes full of hope. "I will protect the princess on one condition," said Luffy.
"What's that?" Igaram asked in a hopeful voice. "Whatever it is, I'm sure the king will pay for it if his daughter is returned safely," he said, causing Luffy to laugh.
"I will protect the princess only if, once I return her to her kingdom, Alabastra becomes my territory," Luffy said, causing Igaram's eyes to widen in shock, as did Zoro and Nami, who were hiding in a corner of the building.
"I-I... "I can't promise that," Igaram said sadly. "That's something only kings and princesses can do," he said, causing Luffy to smile.
"Then I have to ask the princess," said Luffy before looking at his three crew members. "You three go protect the princess; I'll join you after I take care of the unfinished business," he said, causing the three of them to run to the princess. Luffy then looked at the remaining bounty hunters and spoke.
"Raging Thunder!" Luffy screamed, causing 50 thunderbolts to rain down from the sky and strike the remaining bounty hunters with thunder roaring overhead. Luffy then looked at the hallway next to the bar and spoke.
"You can come out now, Nami," he said, causing his navigator to come out of his hiding place.
"Hey captain," she said as she walked up to Luffy.
"Did you find anything?" he asked.
"No, they really are poor," said Nami sadly, causing Luffy to laugh. "For a bounty hunter base, they stink," said Nami. Luffy smiled at her before he answered.
"Don't worry about it," Luffy said, getting her attention. "I really didn't expect much," he said before getting off the barrel. "Take care of the wound for me; I'll go help the three of them," Luffy said before turning his body into lightning and teleporting.
Luffy lands on a building nearby, where Zoro and the bounty hunter duo battle the two agents. When he arrived, Luffy saw a slightly burned Zoro fighting Mr. 5 while the bounty hunter duo battled Ms. Valentine.
The Princess was sitting on a rather large duck, watching this fight. "Alright, you three, I'll take over from here," Luffy said, getting everyone's attention. Upon seeing their captain, the three of them jumped up and stood beside him.
Luffy jumped down from the roof and started walking towards the agents with a cold look in his eyes.
"Well, aren't you quite cocky?" said Mr. 5 while watching Luffy walk towards them. "I thought you could take on us both alone."
"We have to teach this bad boy a lesson, Mr. 5," said Ms. Valentine with a cocky grin.
"Let's see how you like my Bomb-Bom fruit!" Mister 5 shouted as he charged forward to punch Luffy with his left fist. Luffy just coated his left palm with his armour haki and caught his fist easily.
"I-Impossible!" Mr. 5 shouted in surprise. Luffy then covered his right hand with lightning and knocked Mr. 5 to eject and crash into four buildings. Ms. Valentine and the princess stared at Luffy with eyes the size of dinner plates.
"He just beat one of Baroque Works' top agents like he was nothing," Vivi said to herself in a voice of disbelief.
"You... monster," said Ms. Valentine, terrified as he stared at Luffy walking towards him.
"No, it's not a monster," said Luffy as he got closer. "I look more like a demon," Luffy said before he turned into lightning and teleported right behind her, placed his index finger on the base of Ms. Valentine's neck, and channelled a bit of lightning that caused her to faint to the ground.
