Amenable Captain

'A pacifist just insulted me and made me bow my head to someone much weaker than me!' Luffy screamed inside his head as he jumped off the ship and landed on the snow.

As Luffy landed, he heard someone land right beside him, causing him to turn his head to see who it was. When he looked to the side, he saw Sanji carrying Nami on his back. "Wait a minute," said Luffy before taking off his coat and throwing it around Nami. Okay, let's go," he said as they started to follow the man while the rest of his crew, except for Zoro and the bounty hunter duo, followed behind him.

After walking for about ten minutes through the snow-covered forest, the man leading them looked at Luffy and spoke. "There's one thing I think I should warn you about," he said, looking at Luffy. "The only doctor we have here is actually a wizard," he said, causing Luffy to stumble a bit before looking up at the man in surprise. "A wizard?" he asked.

"You've got to be kidding me; I thought the Drum Kingdom was famous for its doctors," she said, shocking the man and the locals who had followed them. "That used to be what this place was known for; however, now this place is just an island with no name," he said, confusing Luffy.

."AHHH! BEAR!" Usopp shouted while pointing ahead, causing them all to turn their attention away from the man. The bear was walking towards them on two legs, holding a staff. "A hiking bear," the man in the green coat said calmly.

"He's not dangerous," he said as they walked past each other. "Don't forget to bow; it's good manners here," he said, causing everyone to bow slightly, while the bear also bowed back. They continued walking for another ten minutes before the group finally arrived at a village. "This is the village we live in. Its name is Bighorn," said the man.

Luffy and crew looked around the small village and couldn't help but be impressed by its beauty. The snow covering everything really added up to the splendid look in the eyes of the people who came from a place where it rarely snowed.

"This place is amazing," said Usopp, admiring the view. Luffy then watched the man go over to a group of local residents he was with earlier and thank them for their help. It was then that Luffy realized that all those people were ordinary residents living in this village.

"My house is here; you can take the girl there," the man said to Luffy, which caused Luffy to nod and signal for Sanji to follow him. As they walked to the man's house, random people kept coming up to him and thanking him or talking to him as if he were their leader or something.

"You can use the bed there," he said as they entered the house. "I'll warm this place," he said, then he walked over to the fireplace and put down the shield he carried on his back. "I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Dalton, and I'm the captain of this island's security squad," he said, causing Luffy to raise an eyebrow.

"Please excuse our rude greeting earlier," he added. "Don't mind it," Luffy replied as he walked towards the bed where Nami was lying and spoke again. "Could you tell us more about this doctor or witch or whatever?" he said as he took the thermometer from her mouth and looked at it. "Her fever is now 107," Luffy said, causing Dalton's eyes to widen. "How long has he been in this?" Dalton asked in surprise. "It's been a few days, and it's going to get higher," Vivi replied. "We need a doctor; any doctor is fine. Where is your wizard located?" she asked. "That witch, do you see those mountains out there?" Dalton asked with a serious expression on his face. "The mountains out there are known as the Drum Rockies.

Look closely; do you see that castle over there, on top of the tallest mountain, the one in the middle?" Dalton asked, causing Luffy to look out the window at the mountains. "The castle has lost its king," Dalton added. Yes, I saw it," Luffy answered while looking up at the castle on the highest mountain. "What's so important about the castle?" he asked. "The castle is where the only doctor on our island lives," said Dalton. "Dr. Kureha, she's the one who was called the witch here," he added.

"Of all places, why did she have to live up there?" Sanji asked. "We have to call him here now; Nami needs his help," he said. "I'm sorry, but there's no way to reach her," Dalton said, surprising everyone. "You can't be serious," said Luffy as he leaned against the wall. "What kind of doctor is she?" he added. "Her skills as a doctor are actually quite impressive; however, she is an eccentric old lady. She is almost 140 years old now," Dalton said, causing all of their eyes to widen. "So what happens when people here are sick and injured? Won't she help them?" Vivi asked while looking at Dalton. "She comes down from the mountain every now and then and looks for patients and then treats them. Before she left, she would take whatever she wanted from their house as payment," Dalton said, causing Luffy to laugh. "Sounds like a pirate," he said to himself. "Dr. Kureha is the only doctor we have, but she is a woman I would avoid," Dalton added as he looked at the crew with sympathetic eyes before he continued.

"All we can do is wait until he decides to come down from the mountain," he said. "That won't help," said Sanji while biting into his cigarette. "Nami is getting sicker every second; we can't wait that long," he said frustratedly. Luffy then stopped leaning against the wall and walked towards Nami's bed. When he got there, he started poking her cheeks with his fingers, trying to wake her up. "Hey Nami, wake up," he said, poking her. Nami, it's time to wake up." "Luffy, what are you doing?" Vivi, Sanji, and Usopp screamed. At that time, Nami began to move, and her eyes slowly began to open. "She's awake," said Luffy, before he looked up at them with a serious expression on his face. "Look, we can't wait here for the doctor to come down from the mountain, so we have to climb the mountain," said Luffy, causing the eyes of all the crew members to widen. "Are you crazy!?" Vivi screamed.

"Look, that mountain is too high and too steep for anyone to climb!" she shouted, trying to get Luffy to listen to her explanation. "And Nami can't survive in her current state," she added, causing Luffy's brows to twitch slightly before he took a deep breath.

"You know, princess, you keep doubting my abilities, and it's really starting to bother me," said Luffy as he looked at Vivi over his shoulder. Plus, we can't wait here any longer; it will take more time if I have to find a new navigator," Luffy said with a smile while looking at Nami, causing her to smile.

"I'm in your hands, captain," said Nami as she stuck her hand out from under the covers, causing Luffy to smile before he clapped his hand against Nami's. Luffy then returned to his crew and spoke with a commanding tone and a serious expression on his face.

"Okay, Sanji and Nojiko, come with me," he said, causing them both to nod their heads. "The rest of you stay in this village," he said before he grabbed his coat, pulled out a small bag of money, and threw it at Usopp.

"And find some food for you guys to eat," Luffy said, causing them all to nod. Sanji then walked towards Nami and picked her up, and then everyone walked outside. When they were all outside, Luffy looked up at the sky and summoned a large cloud to descend from the sky.

Everyone in the village was shocked to see a cloud descending from the sky and quickly rushed towards Dalton's house to see what happened. As the clouds descended, Luffy jumped and signaled for Sanji to hand over Nami to him. Sanji walked into the cloud, holding Nami like a bride, and handed her over to Luffy, who carefully picked her up and laid her on the cloud. As he laid her down in the cloud, her body started sinking in the cloud a bit before coming to a stop. Luffy then wants the cloud to cover Nami's body a little and leave only her head uncovered; that way, Nami won't get cold. Okay, get on board," Luffy said to Sanji and Nojiko, who jumped into the cloud and sat on a chair made out of the cloud, which Luffy made.

Luffy then walked through the back of the cloud and turned to face the front, and the next thing everyone saw was the back of the cloud starting to rise and forming a throne for Luffy to sit on, and behind the throne was his Jolly Roger. Made of shining electric blue light, for all to see. Luffy then sat down, turned to his remaining crew in the village, and spoke. Okay, even if these guys didn't give you a warm greeting at first, I don't want you guys to get into trouble here," he said in a commanding tone that caused all of his crew to nod their heads. "And if someone comes here and tries to cause trouble while I'm gone, protect these people and take care of the threat," he said, causing them all to nod their heads once more while the villagers were shocked at the fact that these Pirates would protect them if they needed it.

'In the hope that this speech will be enough to help me convince them to make this island one of my territories,' thought Luffy as he watched the reactions of the villagers. Luffy then turned to Vivi and spoke with a smirk on his face. "Look princess," said Luffy, getting her attention and causing Dalton to look at Vivi with a surprised expression when he heard Luffy call Vivi princess. "I can go to that mountain easily," he said, causing Vivi to look slightly embarrassed. Luffy then made a serious expression before looking straight ahead. He then raised his left foot over his right and placed his elbow on the armrest before bringing his fingers together in front of his face. Two seconds later, the cloud started rising higher and higher off the ground until it was about 20 feet above the ground and taller than all the houses.

Cloud then shot forward towards the Drum Rockies at about 60 kmph. "He has devil fruit power, doesn't he?" Dalton asked while looking at Luffy's crew. "That's right, he ate the Goro-Goro no mi fruit and became a lightning man," Usopp answered proudly when he talked about his captain.

"By the way, is there anywhere around here for us to buy food?" he asked while looking at Dalton and holding the money bag that Luffy gave him. "I own a restaurant at the end of this street," a man from the crowd shouted, causing everyone to look at the sound and see a short man who looked to be in his mid-40s wearing an apron stepping out from the crowd with a smile on his face. "I am the best food maker in all the Bighorn!" he said proudly while everyone around the village nodded in agreement.

Okay, then, please show me the way," said Usopp before he looked back at Dalton. "Want to join us?" he said to Dalton. "I didn't want to interrupt," Dalton replied, causing Usopp to wave his hand nonchalantly.

"Nonsense, let's just go with it," said Usopp before he started following the restaurant owner with the rest of the crew and Dalton behind him.
