Journey Start!

The week passed by quickly.

The banquet was just right around the corner.

The Heavenly Martial Alliance Leader ordered a horse carriage for Hanli and his two grandchildren.

He had told the carriage driver to take them to the Wudang Mountain Range.

The banquet will take place there.

Following that, the Alliance Leader presented Hanli with a golden plaque.

The golden plaque had the word [Master] engraved on it.

"This plaque certifies your status as a Heavenly Martial Alliance martial master. Make sure you always have it with you. Because if you lose it, you'll have to deal with those obnoxious young masters who are just starting out." The Alliance Leader handed the golden plaque over while he instructed Hanli.

Hanli nodded as he accepted the plaque.

The golden plaque felt light in his hand.

"This junior will keep that in mind."

Hanli then cupped his palms in front of the Alliance Leader before boarding the carriage with Namgung Jian and Namgung Hua.

Because it was their first time leaving the Heavenly Martial Alliance, the two Namgung children kept moving within the carriage.

They looked like miniature demons.

Because of their excitement, the carriage's compartment shook here and there.

Hanli exhaled a sigh.

Crossing his legs together, Hanli separated a part of his inner qi to the soles of his feet.

And with a wave of his hand, Hanli started to float in mid air thanks to the incredible amount of qi propelling him upwards.

"Woah, Sir. Tianlong is floating!"

"That's incredible! Could you teach us how to float like you, Sir?"

The little demons quickly stopped themselves and scurried over to Hanlu when they noticed Hanli's unique way of cultivation.

"Sure, after you guys reach the peak of the Transcendent realm first." Hanli patted the children's heads before he closed his eyes and started meditating mid air.

He initially wanted to meditate mid air to avoid being disturbed by the two Namgung children.

But seeing how the two children had become quiet and started to meditate beside him, Hanli now wondered whether he should continue to meditate using this Rising of the Sun method.

The qi consumption of this unique method was not insignificant and the children might mistake his ability to float as that of a peak Transcendent martial master's skill.

That would be bad.

A cup of tea's time later, Hanli mulled it over and decided that he would continue to meditate mid air till they reached Wudang Mountain.

'After reaching Wudang Mountain, I will still have 56% of inner qi left in my dantian. I doubt those self righteous martial warriors will seek trouble with me, so it should be fine…' Hanli thought to himself, his expression changing every minute.

5 mins later, the carriage started to move.

It would seem that the carriage's driver had finished loading their supplies onto the back of the carriage.

Hanli released his spiritual sense to check the supplies for anything suspicious.

'Nothing is strange here. The carriage driver isn't a spy, good.'

Hanli then retrieved his spiritual sense and went back to meditating.

It was only then did Hanli lowered his guard to cultivate in peace.

3 hours into the journey…

While Hanli continued to meditate in mid air during the carriage ride, the Namgung children failed to sit still and meditate quietly.

So, like most bored children, Namgung Jian pushed open carriage's the window before he started to climb towards the driver's seat.

There, the carriage's driver, Eishun, noticed the young boy climbing towards him.

With a swift reaction, Eishun quickly grabbed the young boy before he fell off the side of the carriage.

He then placed Namgung Jian next to him before he went back to controlling the reins.

In a matter of minutes, Eishun started to introduce the wonders and places the carriage passed by to the young boy next to him.

"On our left, we can see the great Nanyuan City of the Southern Edge Sect. Despite being taoists proficient in the way of the sword, the ancestors of the Southern Edge Sect decided to open up a city opposite of their own mountain range."

"And on our right, you will see the majestic Northern Edge Mountain Range where one of the Nine Great Mountain Sects, the Southern Edge Sect, is located."

"Moving on…" Eishun's voice soon faded into the background as Namgung Jian fell asleep.

In the end, only an expert tour guide like Eishun managed to put one of the Namgung little devils to sleep.

Eishun moved the young boy back into the carriage via the window the young boy came out of.

He then sat back down to control the reins again.

As for Namgung Hua, she had already fallen asleep in the carriage.

The journey towards the Wudang Mountain Range became quiet in the blink of an eye.

Wudang Mountain Range, Hubei

Upon arriving at the base of the first Wudang Mountain, Eishun stopped the horses by the side of the road.

He then opened the carriage's window, wanting to let the children know that they had arrived at their destination.

But when Eishun slid open the window, his jaw became unhinged and dropped to the floor.

'The…The…The man in white robes is meditating in the air! Oh my god, is he a ghost? Even me, a peak Transcendent realm martial master cannot float in the air like that. The inner qi consumption would be too great!'

Seeing Hanli float in mid air gave the carriage driver a massive fright.

He thought that only those Unrestrained realm Martial Grandmasters would be able to float in the air like that.

But when his thoughts point in that direction, Eishun would shake his head, denying those thoughts immediately.

He clearly remembered seeing the Alliance Leader give a master plaque to the white robed young man.

Eishun thus deduced that the white robed young man was only able to float in mid air due to a mysterious lightness skill he cultivated.

"Maybe I should ask for his lightness skill later." Eishun cupped his chin and thought to himself.
