Camp

Jake's eyes were fixated on what lay in the shadows by Leo, something was watching them.

"Hey man we should get to camp." Jake said.

Leo quickly turned his head to look at Jake, sighing as he stands up. "Yea," Leo began "We should get going."

As he began to head back to his truck a twig snapped behind him causing him to spin around and pull out his hunting knife. Seeing nothing there he turned and started walking back to his truck, his ears alert to every little sound. Nothing, he couldn't hear, anything. It was as if the forest was holding its breath, a bad feeling coursed through his body. He got in his truck and shook off the feeling, as he started his engine back up, he could have sworn he saw a pair of amber eyes looking at him from the trees.

Feeling rattled, Leo slammed on the accelerator, with Megan in hot pursuit. Both trucks were filled with silence on the drive to the camp, after what felt like forever they finally arrived at the small campsite. Arriving at the cabins, everyone leaped out of the trucks. As Andrea leaped out, she ran inside to use the bathroom. With a roll of his eyes, Leo assisted in bringing everyone's belongings indoors. After everything was unpacked inside the cabin, Leo sat down on the couch, Christine followed his lead and sat on his lap.

"Who wants beer?" Leo asked holding a few bottles.

Everyone smiled and grabbed a beer, Leo smirked and chuckled as everyone took a bottle.

"Why you laughing man?" Chase asked.

"Oh my god you speak?" Leo teased, laughing some more.

Chase rolled his eyes and waited for Leo to answer his question. "Well?"

"Why drink beer when I got wine and whiskey in the cupboards?" Leo asked with a devilish grin.

Everyone lit up as Leo got up and grabbed a bottle of whiskey, pouring a few drinks for everyone. He sat back down and allowed his girlfriend back on his lap, after a few hours everyone had forgotten about what they had seen on the drive to camp.

"What's the plan for tomorrow?" Chase asked looking at his watch.

"No clue." Leo said with a shrug.

Looking around the room he noticed Jake was passed out drunk on the couch, while Andrea was smoking a blunt by the window. Everyone else was either in their rooms sleeping or doing their own thing.

"We should go to the lake tomorrow!" Christine said happily.

Chase and Leo nodded in agreement, smiling Christine kissed Leo and stole the whiskey bottle from his hand. Finishing what was in the bottle she got up and sat on the floor.

"SPIN THE BOTTLE!" She yelled.

Everyone came out of their rooms, some drunk, some not. Everyone sat down around the bottle in a circle. Leo turned up his music and sat next to Christine, while everyone else found a place to sit. Once they were all seated around the bottle, Christine smiled.

"Alright I'll go first!" Christine said, as she spun the bottle.

Christine leaned on Leo's shoulder as she watched the bottle spin, after a minute or two the bottle slowly stopped spinning, landing on Lillian. The younger girl's cheeks turned pink, and she glanced towards Christine. Christine then smirked and leaned forward close to Lillian. Both girls looked at each other before Christine leaned forward closing the gap between the two as she kisses Lillian. The younger shy girl was taken aback as the older girl kissed her gently before leaning back into her boyfriend's arms.

"Cute." Christine said, as Leo snaked his arms around her.

After a while everyone was drinking again and having fun, everyone was laughing until there was a loud, blood curtailing, ear piercing, howl outside. It sounded as if it was only a few yards away. Leo stumbled up and grabbed his shotgun, telling his friends to stay in the room. There was a soft padding sound outside of the cabin, it was almost as if there was a small animal outside. After a few minutes there was a sniffing sound coming from the front door, Leo loaded his shotgun as everyone stood in silence, listening.

A few minutes after they heard the sniffing sound there was a loud scratching sound on the door. Everyone froze as the front door bulged under the weight of whatever was scratching the other side of the door. Leo aimed his gun at the door and took a deep breath before pulling the trigger. Leaving a hole in the door with a few smaller holes around it, there was a loud yelp as a big black blur ran away from the door. After a few minutes Leo saw a pair of glowing red eyes behind the hole he had just made.

His heart dropped as he realized the grave mistake he had just made; Christine screamed and fell back as she stared at the window. Leo turned his attention to where his girlfriend was staring. He was met with a pair of glowing green eyes; he couldn't make out exactly what the eyes belonged to, but he knew it was big. The eyes were maybe at his chest height, and he was 6'9. He froze in fear as everyone stood in shock, they were surrounded by something. A pack of wolves maybe? No, these- things, were too big to be wolves.

"Wh-what is that!?" Jake screamed in his drunken stupor.

Leo stepped back and pumped the shotgun, he aimed at the window and got ready to fire. Chris jumped in front of Leo stopping him.

"Don't shoot the window!" Chris yelled.

"Why the hell not!?" Leo yelled out in fear.

"Are you trying to get us killed!?" Chris yelled.

Leo froze for a moment as Chris's words sunk into his head, he lowered his gun and rushed everyone to his room.

"Follow me! I know a place to hide!" Leo said quickly as he ran to his room.

Everyone followed close behind him, Leo locked the door behind them.

"Everyone here, there should be eight of us?" Leo asked.
