Voice of the Heart

"Does that mean you forgive me?" asked Meiden rubbing his eyes. The slight hope in his voice sounded remarkably youthful.

"Yes, I forgive you," agreed David doing the same.

Age seemingly shouldn't matter much, but narrowing the gap between them made David feel a little closer to Meiden. Gustav was no longer a rich, mature Norwegian. He had become someone much closer, someone he could talk to like an ordinary colleague.
