As the leader of the elders, Lin Yecai, whose position was only beneath Su Songyu, the sect’s current leader, and Su Balong, the former leader, he called for an emergency meeting that night. The participants of the meeting comprised Su Songyu, as well as the seven elders and high-level instructors. However, Su Balong didn’t attend because he kept himself in his room practicing martial arts.

“Leader of the elders, what’s the reason for having us here in the middle of the night?” Su Songyu asked.

“My lord, Elder Hong, Elder Ye, and I have discovered the corpse of Young Master Su Guanbiao in the garden pond,” Lin Yecai said as he took a glance at the corpse that was lying in the middle of the room, covered by cloth.

“What!?” Su Songyu stood up at once and went to identify the corpse. Once he pulled the cloth away, everyone knitted their brows as the corpse’s condition was too distressing, with its face unrecognizable from countless slit wounds and its dantian pierced.
