Pacing out

As if speaking of lucky she counted how many times she got lucky before, but found zero number in her head. Her life never been easy and lucky was walking another road from hers.

She only strives to get what she wants even if it means fighting her father sometimes if it happens he got in the way.

Elizabeth was a fighter and confidence was her weapon. She won't loose to that weird wild princess.

Morovvan was her land and her home, she knew all the ways and the corners and the bridges to cross over to get where she wanted.

So she was scheming in her head.

What to do ?!. Poisoning her ?!, kidnapping or well...scandalizing her.

She wasn't so cruel to go that further but if it means getting the man of her love, Elizabeth won't hesitate doing anything.

Poisoning her was dangerous and might come with different results. She will be hanged for killing a princess or brutally chopped until her death.

Eww!! She flinched just thinking about it. She had a long way to go and it was impossible to come out alive after doing such deed and it was so evil and shameful to her opinion. What if people come to know what she did and think of her as someone evil ?!.

And she wasn't evil rather than selfish.

Ok what now ??, kidnapping ?!. Yes...interesting topic. Could she really be able to kidnap princess Eleftheria and locked her somewhere ?. Indeed she can't.

Eleftheria looked strong and a very cautious woman. She noticed how protective and dangerous she looked. What about deceiving her and then led her somewhere locked until her marriage with the king is over ?.

But they weren't so close for the Princess Eleftheria to agree on that, probably she won't fall on her trap.

Exclaiming, Elizabeth thought that she won't be able to convince her and lead her away from the castle.

Now what if she spread some bad rumours about her and ended up slandering her name that will be a better option among the three because looks like it didn't require much effort.

Rumours travelled so faster like a wind in Morovvan.

Even news about the arrival of the Princess Eleftheria from Crimson had already spread through the entire kingdom.

But who would believe her ?!. It is not like every rumour was believed and in the matter of court always disregarded rumours not as far as close to the truth. And always pointed them as defamation to someone's reputation.

Now she saw this as a difficult task too since she had to spend her time finding her weakness and extorting some of her information to tell people about. She smirked and looked her way to Eleftheria "Just you wait and see rich princess!"

Her father came to her side and lifted her from her seat. Elizabeth followed her father to the floor where many people were dancing. It is common on every ball to exchange dances with your partner, close people or even a stranger. Her father wanted to dance with his daughter since he won't allow anyone else to dance with her except the king.

Since, the king was busy dancing with his cousin who also entered in the competition, Elizabeth couldn't dance with him. The king's cousin was so close to the king after all they grew up and played together since their childhood. For Elizabeth another competitor, she guessed.

So...how many she had to take them down?! Many, If she wanted to become a queen, and she will do it no matter what.

As being so immersed on her own thoughts she suddenly tripped from her father's foot and she nearly fell off to the ground but she didn't cause the hands of a man wrapped her waist prevented her from falling and embarrassing herself twice on her first day of competition.

She peered through her eyes not wanting to see the man who came to her rescue but she didn't had a choice to thank him for his help.

Exhaled, she looked at the man and shocked it was the king. Oh God ! Where is her father ?!.

She expected her father or someone else but the king was out of her expectations.

He was far out of her reach, how did he manage to come this way?!.

She forgot, she was so immersed on her thoughts totally paced out less noticing that the king was walking towards her way and then she tripped. Many will think she did that on purpose so that the king could grab her. But only she and the king did know that it was merely an accident. Because, he noticed her pacing out.

What is she thinking in her small head every time?!.

She seemed to had a lot going on through her head. Only if he could know what she was thinking, he wouldn't let himself worried about her.

She was stupid, totally obsessed over him and if he could only understand her feelings, it will better soothing her heart.

Collecting herself up, she bowed graciously to the king. Unbothered by her gesture, the king made his way out of the hall. She escorted him with her eyes until he disappeared behind the it.

Whispers Whispers!. They filled the room after another embarrassing moment of Lady Elizabeth, Duke's Richard daughter.

Her father now seemed to be embarrassed that he was barely trying to hide his face away. He dragged his daughter out of the room after the ball ended and directly they went home.

"Father ! stop dragging me !" She shouted, pulling away from her father's grip.

"Eliza !" he yelled after her but she had already ran inside the house. "Don't let her out of the house today" he told the butler, preventing her daughter from scheming behind his back.

"Yes, my lord"

Lord Richard groaned before he left the house again with the horseman. She didn't know where her father was going again as she peeked through the window of her bedroom.

Her maid Stella entered the room following her lady behind.

"My lady" she called. Elizabeth didn't want to hear what her maid Stella was about to speak.

She closed her ears but stopped when she heard her words.

"He is annoyed" she was talking about her father.

"Yes he is but, he will calm down soon. I know him" as if she was tired from all day whirlwind of events, she wanted to calm down her mind. " Go to the kitchen Stella, I need something to drink". Elizabeth felt her throat drying from embarrassment and she thought, soon she had to get over it.

Her father was annoyed although, he was a bit different from others but expecting his own daughter embarrassing him multiple times it is not something every father would want for themselves.

Sprawled on her bed after drinking her tea, Elizabeth read her book to distract herself. When she remembered how the king's face looked and what she saw from his eyes the moment she fell on his arms.

Disgusted?!. She didn't know.

She clutched her chest refusing to believe what she saw.

Did she disgusted him??. No way !!. He was the last person she expected to be disgusted with her.

Maybe she was hallucinating or maybe she shouldn't embarrass herself again especially at the following day of the competition.
