Belongs to me

Elizabeth was trying to think of a talent to come up with. To be honest, she didn't have any talent she born with except for those things she learned from her friends.

She just said that to her maiden to flatter herself.

Thanks to those parties she attended with her friends, she learned how to dance. She can dance well even without music.

But that wasn't her intention, dancing only won't impress such a cold king. She wanted to enter his mind and control it the way she wanted.

She recalled the time when she met the king when he was still a prince. It was at the library. Elizabeth was looking for a book about trade, she loved math and business.

Those subjects were not for a lady but she was eager to help her father in his business.

But she also needed to be different and the best reason to escape history, civil and manner lessons as well.

Alas, they were not her favourite and were less important in her life. To get what she wanted, she thought she should have money, since they will solve all of her problems and secured her father's position.

In order to have money, she have to know where to get it and how to control it and that's why she needed those books.

She didn't have to go to the market or have someone to bring it to her since her father used to work in the castle as a courtier before he became a duke.

She entered the court library by her father's permission. She paced her eyes around the room and the books in the shelves. She noticed the book she wanted.

Yes! but it was far away from her reach she needed to get on the stool or a chair to take that book from the higher shelf.

Placing the chair she found nearby, she climbed on it. Elizabeth pulled her hand towards the book but her fingers failed to touch it, she broke her limits but the book was far away than she thought.

She stretched her arm relentlessly trying in vain not to loose balance on the chair.

But when she was about to draw the book from the shelf, her legs on the chair staggered and was about to fall down but she didn't because someone had come to her rescue.

It was Luther, his hands wrapped around her gown stopping her from falling.

"What are you doing ?!" She asked when she felt his hands touching her.

"I'm saving you, don't you see ?!" he said, he seemed furious.

"Don't touch me !"

"Fine" he let her go without realizing what she meant, she staggered again and fell into his arms.

"Looks like you are the one who is touching me".

Huh??, she noticed her hands wrapped around his shoulders, reluctantly finding balance from him. He stared at her she let him go but it was too late she found herself on top of him since the chair let them both fell down to the floor.

Ugh, Luther exclaimed when he felt her weight on him.

"What are you doing ?" now he was the one who asked.

"Saving my self, don't you see ?!" her eyebrows tilted mischievous.

"You are ruining my clothes !" he exclaimed.

"Blame the chair and not me" she contorted.

His face was very close and she got to see his long eyelashes that makes her wondered how can he have long eyelashes than her own.

Luther came to the library to study but she didn't know if he was the prince but judging from his attire and the prince's description from her father, she knew it was him.

Not wanting to provoke him anymore and get on his bad side, she withdrew herself from him.

She provided him a hand and helped him up.

They stood there looking at each other, her hand refusing to leave his.

It was like a magnet pulling her towards him. That moment flashed in her mind and stayed there forever refusing to get out.

Obviously, they were not kids, embarrassed they shook off their hands in no time before she curtisied in front of him, thanking for his help.

Luther scooped the book from the ground and gave it to her. His eyes took a glance at the book cover 'A girl in his dreams' surprised that wasn't the book she wanted.

He smirked to his own thought "So are you a fan too ?!" he asked. But before she got time to protest she felt his grip on her hand. He was dragging her to the grand table at the centre of the hall, there were dozen of chairs around it.

Wow!! She didn't realized the library was so big until she was brought to this side of the library. There were large windows and tall shelves containing variety of books which astonished her eyes.

He put the book on the table before he took a seat for himself before he urged her to take a seat as well.

She sat beside him, her eyes on the book. Why this book landed on her hands ?!!. That wasn't a book she was looking for or maybe her hand touched a wrong book.

Ugh !! whatever.

But why the prince dragged her to this way ?!!.

She noticed his eyes shinning in anticipation when he screened the book in front of him.

"Do you know how to read this ?!" he asked her. "Or maybe I should teach you a very fantastic way of reading it". he said even before she answered his question.

He cleared his throat and opened the book. He skipped some front pages until he reached the one he wanted.

His eyes glimmered more in anticipation " Look it is a waste of time reading the whole book because this only part here will let you know the whole story". Ignoring her bewilderment showed in her eyes he explained.

"Listen very careful", Ugh like she wanted to.

But her ears stretched even more as she attentively listened to his voice which was narrating this part of the story in a more alluring way. His lips rhymed with the words like nothing she expected. The story heard like a poem when told by him.

Wait !! maybe it was a poem.

Yes it was a poem written by a boy describing a girl in his dreams.

Is he pervert ?! why is he reading this kind of books ?!.

But he wasn't pervert, he only liked love stories and this one was not explicit in his age.

Whether she was the only one who thought that way "mmh" she cleared her throat " It is beautiful" she commented.

A wide smile painted his face, grinning behind those big eyes like a child spotted a sweet candy. "I knew you would like it. Now take this book but remember I'm only giving it to you. This book only belongs to me"

'Yes likely how you too only belongs to me' she whispered.
