Little did he know.

Eleftheria was on her way back to her suite prepared for her stay at Morovvan when she came to meet Sylvester at the corridor leading to Elizabeth's chamber.
Sylvester had a hint of anger and her face quivered when she met princess Eleftheria walking towards her way.
Princess Eleftheria curtsied and continued on her way when she suddenly called her from behind.
"Lady Lamont, I would like to have a word with you"
Eleftheria turned her head after heard her calling, her eyes scrutinizing Sylvester's face which had the same cold expression.
Sylvester walked her chin up until she came closer to the princess of Crimson. Her eyes eyed her from up to down before landed on her face.
"Where did you come from ?!. Judging from how you are wandering around freely you seemed to be acquainted with this place much more not looking for my company"
"Yes, you are totally right. Judging from how you like to gossip behind someone's back, I would rather not have you around as my company"
Sylvester was taken aback by her sudden revelation. She was too straight and l
seemed like she couldn't spare any moment for Sylvester to play her tricks again over her.
"You should get your head light, none is going to take your position. Beside I'm only a guest who is willing to overstay her visit if my marriage proposal will be considered. And nothing more"
"How dare you insult me like this. One more word and I will have your persecution. It seems you forget who is the princess here". King's cousin glared at princess Eleftheria with much anger, she felt her blood boil. Her hand was tightly holding to her lower fabric of her dress, finding the courage to counterattack her words.
Eleftheria sneered and sent back the glare, she wasn't weak to be played with her anymore. So far she had decided to stand against her if she ever dare to gossip about her she will give her the taste of her own medicine.
"I see you are on your way to visit lady Richard, oh...maybe I'm wrong"
"My visit doesn't concern you, lady Lamont. You are only allowed to mingle on the business that had brought you here"
"I should take my leave then" Elfetheria turned and continued on her pace, her shoes echoing along the corridor.
"Princess Eleftheriaa !!" Sylvester called her from behind, almost shouting "I will let it pass only for today for the way you have insulted me, but for another time there will be no mercy"
"I'm not afraid" Eleftheria answered without turning her head to look at her.
Princess Sylvester stomped her leg on the floor, standing still glaring at her back.
She was fuming with anger when she came to bump on with the king who was taking his leave from Lady Elizabeth's chamber.
Flabbergasted, Sylvester collected herself and held that innocent expression that she always had on her whenever she wanted to put a mask on the show.
"Sorry, your majesty. I didn't see you approaching"
"Ohh, cousin. What are you doing here ?!, coming to see Lady Richard ?" Flabbergasted by his cousin sudden appearance at the corridor, he asked.
"No...I have already visited her. I see she is doing fine" she lied.
"Well...I do have a matter to discuss it with the court, see you at dinner tonight"
"Well....as you say, your majesty" When the king turned and continued on his way, Princess Sylvester decided to eavesdrop on the door belongs to lady Elizabeth room, when she came over across it.
"It must be this door" there were many room occupied by other guests but she was interested with particular one.
"You confessed to him, Are you crazy?!"
"I'm not sure since he seemed not to hear me"
"Ooh.... Elizabeth he is going to be a married man, do you really want to cause problem"
"He's a king, it's not like he is cheating. He had a choice to choose whoever he wanted to be with"
"It's true what you said but...."
"But what?!"
The door was abruptly opened and Sylvester was quickly to hide herself behind the pillar.
"I thought someone was here" Stella spoke behind the open door, her lady shocked by the situation.
"Who?!"
"Can be anyone...but what is that with so many questions today, my lady. You seem flustered".
"No!!...I "
The door was closed and Sylvester sighed, that was so close.
It was Elizabeth's maid again, she remembered her, she was the one who had stopped her lady from causing a ruckus at dining hall. She seemed nuisance and always ruined her plans.
Wait....she is the only one who protects her Lady, if she had to get her way towards Elizabeth, she had to take care of her maid first.

At the dinner table at night, the king was having a meal with her cousin when princess's mother joined them at the table.
It was a tradition for the royal family to eat together most of the time.
Aunt Margaret was looking happier than ever when thinking about the time she mostly had wished has come, the moment her daughter could marry the king.
"Your majesty, to how would you look lovely together if you has my daughter as your queen by your side ?!" Aunt Margaret uttered when she came to take a seat across the table.
"Aunt... I've already told you before, not to discuss that matter during meals"
"What, why not....I don't see the other way around. You are always busy with your duties. The only time I got to see your face is during mealtime"
"Mom, don't pressure brother. He had a lot of things to think about. Beside I'm happy for him soon getting married, whoever he got married to I will be there for him". She lied that wasn't what she truly thinks.
"Thank you, silly" he loved to call her by that nickname that matched a short version of her name. Little did he know what was this cousin of his was planning to do to his woman.
"I told you not to call each others by those names, You looked silly. Besides you are all grown up but you still act like children" Aunt growled, she couldn't stand this stupidity to pile over the passing decades. She knew the reason why the king don't see the woman out of her daughter is because Luther still saw her as a younger sister.
"I'm sorry Aunt Margaret, I have to go. The dinner was good, give my compliment to the cooker and Sylvester you have to learn to cook like this, the last time was an improvement but you do still have a long way to go" He remembered the food, she had got to prepare for him for the first time was awful but for the passing days she had tried to improve her ability in cooking.
"Fine...I will keep trying" She smiled almost blushing for a simple half completed compliment. Her mother tilted her head, she can't believe what she saw from her daughter, Sylvester was much in love with the king, What could she do to help her daughter maintain her position to the king, it was only motherly love. So far her daughter was the only woman who had been close to the king since childhood. She heard that there were ladies who had came to the castle to compete for the queen's position, she couldn't let other lousy strange women get over pass her daughter.
"Mom..?!. Why are you not eating, the food is getting cold". Sylvester paced her eyes when she came to notice her mom didn't touch her food plate yet.
"Don't worry my dear, the food looked delicious how could I let it go to waste" She took the food plate and secretly trashed it away. The food was not to her liking, she was only there on the table to pressure the king to take his liking on her daughter but the food prepared under the king's order wasn't her favorite and it will never be.
How could she eat something like that, The king must be stupid to eat something like that no wonder his head is so stubborn to understand what was beautiful in front of his eyes.
Alas, It had been twenty years since he had seen Sylvester but he never looked his way twice to her poor daughter.
"Mom, why are you doing this again, the maids could tell to the king, you throw the food and you know how his majesty is strictly when it comes about wasting food and money even though we are royal"
"And that's why I have been thinking twice on letting him rule over my brother's throne, only because of you and if he ever rejects you then I will have to get him out of that chair. He doesn't deserve to be the king".
"Mom, I have spoken with you about it many times okay, I'll be the queen and getting him a son. Then you will have your grandson rules over the throne, if that is what you want"
"And you better be able to do that, unless you left me with no choice"
