"Good morning Mrs. Gunner." The old woman dragging water from a nearby well stared at the girl who greeted her. Her green eyes sparkled like two jewels yet there was this hidden pain in her eyes.
"Good morning dear." She responded and watched her step out of the yard.
Though they were told that she could barely recall a thing from her past, they both knew she had gone through hell cause of the state they had found her in that night when their son brought her in.
"When do you think she'll regain her memory?" The man beside the old woman asked as they both watched her walk out in silence. The girl had been a blessing to them. She did things their old self could no longer do and they were happy they had found such a pure soul. Yet, they still wondered who she was, and where she came from.
