Alexander reacted swiftly, pulling his upper body back just in time.

*Snap!*

The dark humanoid creature's gaping mouth slammed shut with a sharp crack, sending massive waves of water splashing out from its jaws. The sheer force of that bite was evident.

"I figured you weren't anything good. Otherwise, you wouldn't be chained up in a place like this," Alexander said, raising an eyebrow.

The creature stared at him, its dark face barely revealing twisted, distorted features. Alexander studied the strange, ghostly being, a flicker of doubt crossing his mind.

As Alexander pondered, the creature suddenly moved, dragging its chain-bound legs as it lunged toward him.
