Spirit of the Vinovium Demon

It was dark inside the office, but the lighting was turned on, so they could see what was going on. Harrison Willaim stood at the side of his table, while the boys sat on the couch. He moved the chair back and sat facing the guys.

Aside from his own work at the university, the man was deeply contemplating something very essential.

Nonetheless, he appeared effortlessly appealing, his hair placed to his right. Apart from his age, he had a white body with not-too-thin lips and no wrinkles on his face. They all had a bored look on their faces, as if they were forced to be here.

"What is that thing that tried to harm Lauren that day?" It was a direct question for Elliott, while others were also looking at him for answers.

Elliott hesitated for a moment before answering, "I'm not sure what it was, but it looked like some kind of wild spirts. Those are lust demons." The group exchanged worried glances, wondering if there were more dangerous animals lurking in the area.

"Demon? What's that thing? Demon of Hell?" Harrison couldn't help but become more curious and worried. His already wrinkled forehead formed lines as he frowned more deeply. He didn't know what she had done for the demon to attack her.

"Demon from heavens." Zaiden made a joke, but it was not funny at all, and no one laughed. Noah sent a glare at him while Elliott sighed. The matter was more serious than Zaiden had known, and he understands now. "What's the matter?" Everyone ignored him and focused on the topic.

"Spirts of demon." Harrison nodded at Elliott's confirmation. His eyes narrowed, and his expression turned dire after he heard him. He never had seen demons in his long age. Furthermore, why did it attack Lauren and kill one employee and one student?

"The spirit of the Vinovium Demon. The bloodstain that was placed was a sign that the demon world is endangering human life." He paused and said, "It is a spirit that roamed within one body. They are lust demons who get possessed by the human body easily, but." Elliott didn't know if he had to tell Willaim everything or just some main points.

He decided to start with the main points and see how Harrison reacted before deciding whether or not to reveal everything. Elliott knew that sharing too much information at once could be overwhelming and counterproductive.

"But?" inquired Harrison.

"They were after Lauren." Harrison wasn't happy with that, of course; he couldn't be because she was his niece and the only daughter of his sister.

Noah looked down and sighed, as he already knew, while Zaiden and Harrison looked taken aback by the declaration.

Lauren was being pursued by the lust demons, but why now? Never in her 20 years of age have they tried to harm her; then why now?

"We need to protect her," he said, putting on a slightly sad face, which was a false pretence!

"That's what I meant when I pointed at you. It's dangerous for her, but you never take it seriously." Elliott raised his voice, which shocked everyone in the room.

He was a calm man who didn't usually take matters into his own hands. It was always Noah or Zaiden doing other important work for Harrison, but now the matter was completely different. It was a matter of protecting a girl. His jaw was firm, and his hand was in the form of a fist. Noah put his hand on Elliott so he could control his anger.

"I can't leave her there. The spell has already been broken with Zuri's death. Leaving her there is riskier than you imagine," he said. He was so hesitant when the girl refused to come, but Harrison had no choice but to bring her here with him. He sighed heavily, unable to do anything.

He knew it would be harmful for her to be in an immoral land, so he made sure that every student understood the rule of not revealing their true identity to her. But he didn't know what dangers she loathed with her, but he will try to make sure that she will be safe under his wing.

"We aren't in a situation to fight right now. We need something to stop this. Otherwise, we will not only lose Lauren but other students too. It felt like a coming war that is giving us a warning in advance," Noah forced the words so they could understand how important the situation was right now. His eyes narrowed as he spoke. "Be serious."

Elliott didn't care about the students or anyone right now, but then he sighed. There was nothing he could do aside from making sure she was alright.

"We can't stop them. It's impossible it will still catch her in the 4 walls of the room with no door." The words came out as a whisper from Elliott.

The words were as bizarre as the situation, and it showed how vulnerable he felt in this moment for not being able to do anything to save her. Although nothing happened this week, he couldn't be sure when they would find her again or wait for them to do so.

"Maybe there is a way?" Noah harrumphed, turning to look away from him as if in disappointment.

"What did you think?" came the curt voice of Elliott, who changed his voice slightly.

"What makes them attracted to Lauren?" Zaiden asked him, giving a glance towards the floor, where even Elliott looked down in thought, making all of them snap their heads because they didn't take part in the conversation because of his dad joke.

At last with a sigh, at the same moment

Elliott rose and declared: "Her scent." Zaiden nodded his head

"She just had to apply the strongest perfume all the time, and I think it will distract from or replace her scent from her own body."

He added, "It will be helpful for some time, but we can't be sure if it will find her soon or not," replied with equal quiet, hus words cool and sharp. The childish and cool aura was gone with a different aura surrounding him now.

Zaiden paused and seemed to be thinking about something with his words and his actions, turning to look at her and saying, "In the meantime, we can find a plan to end their existence."

The idea was good, and Elliott himself was relieved to hear that. Noah took this time to tease Zaiden as he said, "For the first time in many years, you used your brain." Zaiden sent glares, to which, as a result, Noah slipped away, and Elliott smiled at them.

He saw William in deep thought, and he could understand how he must be feeling, but it was also not Elliott's, Harrison's, or Lauren's fault. It didn't name anyone's fault.

Harrison stood up and opened his cabinet, looking for something. He brought a box and placed it on the table before he opened it and showed them a bottle of perfume.

"It isn't a strong one, but I will add something to it that definitely makes it much stronger than the companies sell." Elliott stared back at him before moving his eyes, not so subtly, to look at the fireplace, which had burned ashes in it.

He wondered what the additional thing was that made it stronger and if it was worth the involvement with her. The crackling sound of the fireplace and the warmth it emitted made him feel cozy and relaxed.
