A new path in Reynold's Journey

"I am at a loss for words, Reynold," The Dawn Lady spoke up, breaking the silence, "I did not think I would see a Dawnbringer in my lifetime, less so passing through the ranks of my legion."

"You are very impressive."

"My first trial made me want to quit," He replied, "Now I want this, I want to do what is right, I want to drive out the dark lands and rid this place of them too."

"I don't want you to get hurt," Julia replied, "I love you."

"I love you too, I am not questioning that."

"He is a strong, young man, Julia," Her mother replied with a comforting hand placed on her daughter's shoulder, "He will be fine."

"I know, I just can't help but worry about it."

"May I get my new armor? It should let Julia be more at ease once she sees that I am not riding out as a simple shock troop anymore."

"Go, Julia will be fine," The Dawn Lady smiled as he left, "And you, dating that Dawnbringer."

"Is that why you approve of him?"

"No," She looked at her daughter with a smile.

"Do you approve of him now with that on top of it?"

"No."

"What makes you smile at him in reference to me?"

"He is the man who makes you smile, he cares for you," The Dawn Lady replied, "There is little to dislike in a man that is that devoted to all he does and being my advisor has shown me he is a trustworthy man with little to no character issues."

"Oh."

"Surprising, isn't it?" Her mother smiled, "It might not seem that way but I care about you and how you feel."

"It's hard to tell sometimes, mom."

"I know, I am sorry for that."

"I know, I am not asking for you to apologize," Julia replied, "You are my mother, I still love you like when I was a child."

"I am glad that hasn't changed," She hugged her daughter and smiled, "I missed this, this war against darkness has pulled me away from the things that make us better than the monsters, mainly it has pulled me away from you, my family."

The head blacksmith listened to Reynold as he showed him the drawing of his armor and checked the requirements and specification, "This is an expensive set of armor."

"The Dawn Lady has already approved of the armor."

"She has?" Reynold nodded, "Alrighty then, it might take me a bit but let me get some measurements, Kevin, get me some measurements for Advisor Reynold," The youngest looking blacksmith nodded and walked over to him with a measuring tape before he began to measure Reynold's dimensions.

"How is it going, Reynold?" He looked back and saw Julia standing in the blacksmith's workshop, "Getting that armor made?"

"Yes, Julia, what are you up to?" He replied with a smile.

"Coming to get you once you are done."

"Coming to get me?" He turned his head more and looked confused, "What for?"

"Dinner, Reynold."

"Is it that time already?"

"Not yet but that doesn't mean I can't pester you for your time."

"You certainly can," Reynold grinned as the apprentice blacksmith finished recording the measurements and bowed his head, "Thank you, how long will it take for the armor to be made?"

"It is a seriously unique armor to build from scratch, give it a few days and it'll be done, Advisor Reynold," The head blacksmith replied.

"Good," Reynold replied, "I will expect your best work on this matter," The armor was his first step in his quest to take back the dark lands and return it to the land touched by light. His quest had truly begun.
