PROLOGUE

In a world beyond the physical, two beings existed within every heart. Zrythexen and Serenova, are the embodiments of suffering and peace, respectively. Zrythexen had no physical form but only appeared to those with troubled hearts. When he did appear, he took the human form.

Zrythexen possessed a book named Centa Vormyndar, or The book of 100 Demons, which he used to offer help to those in need. If a troubled person agreed to receive his aid, they were instructed to draw a sigil on the sandy ground. If the demon whose name is written in the book responded to the weary heart, the sand would glow and the person was required to dig where they drew the symbol. There, they would find the ancient book of demons, which would guide them to summon the demon who could best help them.

The book was said written by the first beings to inhabit the universe, and its power was immense.

Once the demon was summoned, Serenova would appear in the heart of another human and take him/her as his vessel. Serenova was a being of light and peace and would guide the person who summoned the demon through his/her troubles. In order to do that, Serenova needs another human as a vessel to carry out the task. However, she couldn't go beyond human free will. Some humans chose to go astray.

This was how the two beings, Zrythexen and Serenova, worked together to keep the dynamic of good and evil on earth.
