Oddly, that looked like it relaxed his uncle, like the uncertainty- it wasn’t exactly pleasure that crossed his uncles face, it was satisfaction. “I am glad you’re putting thought into it at least.” He gave Vajra a much more relaxed look. “You two looked like you were trying to eat each other last night.”
Vajra huffed out a laugh. “I guess it would have looked like that from an outside perspective. I was just really happy to see her again.”
“I wish someone was happy to see me in that fashion.” Aarav needled him gently through the rest of lunch, teasing him and forcing him to think about his plans and the things that he needed. “You will need gifts for her, have you thought about what you will present?”
“She likes simple things, soft and warm things.” Vajra mused, rubbing his hand over his face. “Like a shawl, she gets cold easily.”
“There are some lovely vendors in the market.” Aarav rose from the table, “come, we will go shopping for your courting gifts.”
