The Council was screaming. Which was not a problem normally, the council was usually screaming about one thing or another. The problem laid in what they were screaming about. Carina and Ishaan had come to warn them about the impending threat of the Cassoth and the council had devolved pretty much immediately into screaming. Half of them were screaming questions, a quarter was screaming demands and Ishaan was fairly certain that the last quarter of them were just screaming. No one was doing anyone any good and the Speaker looked like he was about to throw up.
Carina stepped away from him and threw her wings out, startling the council into silence. “Enough,” she yelled loud enough that the huge room echoed slightly. “We came before you to make a plan not so you could devolve into pointless argumentation. The fact of the matter is that the Cassoth are coming. They have found my people’s refuge and so they have found you.”
