"These… people."
Clio stood by a window, her eyes reflecting the bustling street below. From above, everything seemed normal and all the people seemed normal. But she knew that the people casually walking around the busy street were anything but normal—they were heroes, champions.
Her hands rested lightly on the frame of the window as she observed them, her fingers occasionally tightening as her thoughts swirled.
This place… she thought. This place carried an air of danger.
Achilles had explained it to them—they weren't actually inside a Safe Zone—fights could break out anywhere at any time. The only thing stopping the people from actually killing each other was the silent rule of not creating trouble since this place could be considered a beginner's area.
"These people…" she muttered to herself again. "They're all just… just pawns in the gods' game. We… we're all just pawns."
