Frank and Samantha

Frank pov

I have been very quiet my whole life. I never really had many friends in my life. Everybody knows me but I have no friends.

"Well, maybe one" I whispered to myself.

I woke up in a panic and looked around.

"Where am I?" I screamed.

I saw Lexi from my high-school standing by a vault door. The room had a bright lantern on the roof that filled the room with light. George and Samantha had their head leaning on the table and their arms were spread out across the concrete table. Sarah had blood surrounding her and she looked pale white. She was spread out laying on her stomach and Tom was laying face up. His mouth was open and he had blood dripping from his stomach.

"Oh my god," I screamed.

I started pulling against the metal bands around my hands. I screamed and yelled as I desperately fought against the metal bands.

"Relax Tom" Lexi screamed from across the room.

"How am I supposed to relax when I'm being held into a concrete table?" I screamed angrily.

The metal bands made a loud snap as they unlocked. I moved the metal off my hands and started to get up.

"See look, you're fine," Lexi said calmly.

"I can't remember anything," I said nervously.

"Do you know my name?"Lexi said nervously.

"Yeah, I know everyone's name and my name too," I said confidently.

"What about everything that happened before that?" Lexi said confused.

There was a loud static noise from the walkie-talkie in the middle of the table.

"Hello Frank, welcome to the party" the man on the walkie-talkie laughed.

"Who are you?" I screamed.

"Well, I can't tell you because that would ruin the fun" the man laughed.

"This guy is fucked up" I screamed angrily.

"I would like to meet," the man on the walkie-talkie said calmly.

"No, leave me alone!" I snapped back.

"Do you want to know why you're in here?" the man said calmly.

"Yes," I shouted back quickly.

The big iron door swung open quickly. It revealed a long dark hallway. I could see a rectangular outline with a light flashing through at the end of the hallway. Lexi and I quickly got up and ran through the door. We stomped our feet loudly and it echoed through the cold concrete room.

"Stop!" The man screamed angrily.

Lexi and I both stopped with confusion. We both stood there staring at the walkie-talkie in the middle of the table.

"I only want Frank," the man on the walkie-talkie said.

I stood there for about thirty seconds and then slowly walked through the vault door. The door swung closed behind me. A loud noise from the door slamming shut echoed through the dark hallway. I walked through the hallway and my footsteps echoed through the room.  Once I reached the door I put my hand on the metal doorknob. It felt warm like someone had used it already. I turned the doorknob and the door creaked open. Someone was standing in the middle of what looked like a living room with a wooden table in the middle. He was wearing a long black cloak that covered his face. There was a chair underneath the table and on the wooden table was a computer with four monitors. The computer monitors all showed static. Next to the computer was the walkie-talkie that the person used to communicate with us. There was a couch laying against the wall across from the wooden table.

"I'm so happy to meet you frank!" the man said with an excited tone.

"Where would you like me to sit?" I said calmly as I ignored his comment.

"Right on the sofa," the man said excitingly.

I took a seat on the red couch and the man turned the wooden chair around to face me. He sat on the chair and stared at me for thirty seconds.

"Frank, do you know why you're here?" the man questioned.

"No clue at all," I said calmly.

"Don't try anything on me or I will kill you" the man said aggressively.

"That's not the plan," I said calmly.

"You want to know something funny, Frank?" the man said while laughing.

"What?" I said confused.

"You're just as evil as me," the man said giggling.

"That's not true! Stop lying to me!" I screamed.

"Calm down," the man said calmly.

"I can't remember a thing from my past!" I yelled angrily.

"Well, I can help you with that" the man laughed.

"Alright, tell me already," I said calmly.

"Do you remember Samantha?" the man responded quickly.

"Yes," I answered back.

"She was your girlfriend and her parents were very abusive," the killer said in a serious tone.

I stared at him and tried to figure out how to respond. When I was about to say something he quickly interrupted.

"You killed them!" the man screamed.

"I never killed anyone!" I screamed back.

"You can say whatever you want about me but I never killed anyone tonight! I only kidnapped people!" the killer yelled back.

"What happened after?" I said angrily.

"You guys tried to run away and then you ended up here" the man laughed.

"That doesn't make any sense?" I said questioning him.

"I kidnapped you because you're a killer!" the man screamed.

I didn't know what to say so I just stared at him. The man got up from the chair and turned it around. He pushed it back under the wooden table and walked over to the right side of the couch. He picked up a man that was tied up and had duct tape over his mouth and eyes. The man opened the door and dumped the tied-up man in the concrete hallway.

"Who's that?" I said concerned.

"Ben" the man answered back quickly.

"Isn't he the guy that works at the bike repair shop?" I said concerned.

"He is," the man said calmly.

He slowly closed the door and walked over to me. The man stood there staring at me.

"I'm going to give you a chance to leave because you will be arrested soon," the killer said calmly.

"What is it?" I said with excitement.

He walked over to the wooden table and picked up a white envelope. He handed me the white envelope and I took it out of his hand.

"Do I open this now?" I said confused.

"When I let you back into the hallway that connects the concrete room to my room, that's when you open the letter," the man said calmly.

"Ok," I said nervously.

The man grabbed the doorknob of the door and opened it again. I walked out into the hallway and the man started to close the door. I watched as the light from the man's room started to get blocked out by the door. After a few seconds, I was standing in complete darkness. I started to walk over to the vault door when I tripped over Ben. I heard a muffled scream as I bent down to rip the tape off his mouth.

"I'm so sorry, are you ok?" I said nervously as I ripped the tape off Ben's mouth.

"Ow!" Ben yelled.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you!" I screamed nervously.

"It's fine," Ben said calmly.

"How do we get out of here?" I said concerningly.

"The only way out is from the entrance," Ben said calmly.

"Did you bang on the door?" I said nervously.

"Of course, I did!" Ben screamed angrily.

I walked over to the vault door and started banging on it. My fists pounded on the iron door as I continued to hit it.

"How many people are alive in that room?" Ben said concerned.

"I think it's about six, counting us," I said confused.

"Shit, someone is going to be dead when we enter that room!" Ben screamed nervously.

Ben used his tied-up arms to rip the tape that was covering his eyes. Once he pulled it off he started working on the knot that was used to keep his hands from moving. After a minute the knot loosened and Ben freed himself. I stood there in shock as Ben easily escaped from the restraints. Ben stood up as the ropes and duct tape dropped to the floor.

"I'm a killer," I said nervously.

"You're a what?" Ben said confused.

"Read this letter," I said nervously as I handed Ben the envelope.

Ben opened the envelope and pulled a piece of paper out. Ben unfolded the envelope that was folded in thirds.

"To frank

Hopefully, you are reading this letter in the hallway as I said. If you want a chance to escape you must kill Samantha. You're a killer anyway so this shouldn't be so hard for you. If my plan goes south I will be your prison buddy. Good luck!!!"

"Holy shit," Ben said shocked.

Samantha pov

My neck hurt as I slowly picked up my head. It was one of those naps where you can't remember what time it was or what day it is. When I opened my eyes I saw a windowless concrete room and bodies on the floor.

"Ahhhhh!" I screamed jumping out of my seat.

"Hey relax" a word man screamed.

"Lexi!" I yelled.

"Ew I can't believe I'm stuck with you," Lexi said angrily.

"Why are you such a bitch to me!" I screamed angrily.

"I was never mean to you!" Lexi yelled back.

Thursday, September 15, 2022, 11:30 am

It was in between classes and I was walking to the cafeteria. Lexi and Jill were walking in the opposite direction and that's when it happened.

"That bitch is so fucking weird," Lexi said giggling.

"I know she's so ugly" Jill laughed.

After I ran into the bathroom and cried. I knew it was about me because I heard them say it when they walked past me.

The concrete room

"That wasn't even about you!" Lexi screamed.

"Who was it about then!" I yelled.

"Sarah!" Lexi fired back.

" I could go on forever about things you said about me!" I said as tears started dripping down my face.

"If you want to get out of here you have to work with me!" Lexi yelled.

I heard a loud cracking noise from the concrete table in the middle of the room. There was a black walkie-talkie laying on its side.

"Hello Samantha and welcome to the party!" the man on the walkie-talkie screamed.

A circular platform in the middle of the table started to sink. It was as large as a beach ball and when it returned to the top of the table a pearly white envelope sat there waiting for me. I reached out and grabbed the envelope. They quickly ran over and snatched the envelope out of my hand.

"Hey, that's mine!"I screamed angrily.

When I went to grab the envelope back Lexi turned away from me. I started to hear Lexi tear the envelope open. All of a sudden I had a jolt of adrenaline. I was blinded by my anger and it felt like one second until I was completely calm. When I finally felt calm I was sitting on top of Lexi. The envelope was laying flatly on the floor by the vault door.

"Get off me!" Lexi screamed with anger.

I crawled off of Lexi and leaned against the concrete table. The walkie-talkie crackled suddenly and a man started to speak.

"Samantha suffers from a split personality disorder" the man laughed.

Lexi glared at me with fear as the man explained my condition. If I feel an emotion to an extreme I will feel like I'm blacking out. Then in a blink of an eye, I'm in a random place and I have no clue what's going on.

"You're fucking crazy! Lexi screamed.

I got up and walked over to the envelope. Lexi slowly moved away from me as I picked up the envelope. I began to tear open the envelope. Small pieces of the envelope slowly fell to the floor. I pulled the white piece of paper out of the envelope and dropped it to the floor. It was folded into thirds and I quickly unfolded it.

Dear Sarah

I know it's hard to remember what happened the night you were kidnapped because of your condition. Frank (your boyfriend) killed your parents on the night you were kidnapped. Now Frank has told me that he wants to kill you!!! I'm offering you a deal to escape. If you kill Frank I will let you leave the concrete room. Of course, there are still some precautions. If you tell anyone about the concrete room you will be killed. Also, everyone that is still alive in the room will be immediately killed!!

From the man in the mask

"Oh my god," I cried.

"What's wrong? Let me read the letter," Lexi said concerned.

Lexi took the letter out of my hand and after a few seconds, she dropped it to the floor. Lexi grabbed my hand and sat me down on the floor. I didn't fight her because I was trying to stay calm.

"You need to relax because if you start to feel sad or angry I could be killed," Lexi said with a concerned tone.

"Just like always you care about yourself," I said as tears started to fall my face.

"Do you know how I survived when you attacked me!? Lexi screamed.

"No," I said nervously.

"I had to give you what you wanted!" Lexi screamed.

I just stared at her in shock. I didn't move a muscle as Lexi continued to complain. I was breathing slowly to try and keep myself calm.

"You complain that I get whatever I want Samantha, but when you have your little freakout you get what you want!" Lexi screamed angrily.

"That's not true!" I yelled back angrily.

All of a sudden we heard a click on the vault door. The door quickly swung open with a loud creaking noise. Ben and Frank ran out desperately.

"Who's dead!?" Ben and Frank screamed.

"No one!" Lexi and I screamed back.

They gave us a confused look and all of a sudden, we heard a loud rumbling. The platform began to sink into the table. The walkie-talkie made a loud crackling sound that echoed through the room.

"Let's reenact what happened the night Samantha and frank were kidnapped!" the killer screamed through the walkie-talkie.

The platform returned to the top of the table and a crowbar sat in the middle of it. Everyone in the room stared at the crowbar.

"Frank will be Frank and Samantha will be herself. Lexi will play Samantha's mother and Ben will be Samantha's father." the man said in a cheerful tone.

"This is crazy!" Lexi screamed.

"Lexi and Ben go take a seat on the concrete table!" the killer screamed.

Lexi and Ben walked over to the concrete table and they both took a seat next to each other. Ben put his arm around Lexi and she leaned on his shoulder.

"Samantha and Frank I want you to walk over to the vault door!" the killer screamed.

We both walked over to the vault door and we still there waiting for further instructions.

"Now Samantha and Frank walk over to Lexi and Ben," the killer said.

We held each other's hands and walked over to Lexi and Ben.

"Frank and Samantha start to argue because she told Frank her parents abused her. She lied about that if you didn't know.," the killer laughed.

We stared at each other awkwardly as we were forced to act out the murder of my parents. Frank and I continued to hold hands but I don't feel anything for him like I used to.

"Then Frank grabs the crowbar from the garage!" the killer yelled.

Frank walked around the table and grabbed the crowbar. He picked the crowbar off the table and walked back to where I was standing. Frank struggled to hold the thick black crowbar. It looked old enough because it was covered in dirt and oil.

"I saw that Frank was going to kill them so that's when I decided to jump in!" the killer screamed.

Then the lights went out in the concrete room. Everyone screamed as we heard the vault door swing open. We felt the heat from the killer's room leak into the cold concrete room.

"Then everyone screams and Frank quickly kills Samantha's parents!" the killer screamed into the walkie-talkie.

I heard footsteps as people were trying to run out. I quickly pulled Frank as I tried to run out with him.

"Stop or you're all going to die!" the killer yelled into the walkie-talkie.

I heard the footsteps go quiet as we all stayed frozen in the cold concrete room. It was dead silence as everyone awaited the killer's next sentence. We heard static echo through the room as if someone dropped the walkie-talkie. All of a sudden we heard loud footsteps coming from far away. It sounded like someone was wearing high heels as the killer walked into the room. We heard a loud door slaw from far away and after about thirty seconds I could feel him in the room with us. There was a loud blast from a shotgun and Frank let out a scream. It echoed through the room longer than gunshots. Soon after we heard running echoing through the room and a door opened. It quickly made a loud banging noise as it slammed shut. No one had moved as this went down and I felt warm liquid all over my body. Lexi and Ben started to run to the vault door. I heard a loud bang as the vault door slammed shut. The lights turned on and Frank was laying on the floor with a large pool of blood under him.

"Help me" Frank whispered desperately as he continued to bleed out onto the floor.
