"Where do you think you're running?" he shouted.
Brandon was chasing a medium-class snake he had come across in the desert areas near the shelter.
The battle had been tough, as the sand gave him little mobility, but he kept fighting the snake until he left it badly injured. When the snake saw that it couldn't win, it started to escape.
Frustrated that the snake was getting away after giving it so much fight, Brandon began running after it, distancing himself from the shelter.
Angry for making him go so far from the shelter, tired from the pursuit, he extended his arm carrying the crossbow and channeled electrical energy to create an arrow.
This was a skill of bows, some guns, and crossbows. If you had an elemental skill, you would only have to channel your energy into the bow, and the arrow would form.
Moving and aiming at the snake, he released the arrow that spun, but only connected with the ground near the snake. Brandon kept running while adjusting his breathing. Everything started to slowly become slower before his eyes.
His ocular power was synchronizing with his breathing until Brandon saw the moment he needed and attacked.
The arrow shot out of the crossbow, heading towards the snake's body. As if it were intuition, the snake felt a shiver and turned to see what it was before seeing what was coming behind it. Its body trembled, and it fell, spitting blood from its head.
[You have killed a medium-level desert snake level 1]
Brandon walked up to the beast and saw that it was not yet dead, so he decided not to waste time and stabbed his sword into the hole he had made with the arrow.
He collapsed to the ground and breathed heavily, taking a minute's breath before deciding to keep moving. He didn't want any beast to attack him, so he opened the beast's body and removed the crystal.
Since he wasn't too far from the shelter, he decided to drag the snake's body and sell it. He decided to take it to the blacksmith first if he was interested in buying the snake to create some kind of weapon or armor.
When he arrived at the shelter, many people were looking at him. He was dragging the body of a medium-class snake. Brandon took the body to the blacksmith and managed to sell it for about 500 Star coins.
He already imagined it would cost more than a beast crystal because, although the crystal made you stronger, bodies worked to make weapons and armor.
In addition, not all races needed crystals. There were many that became stronger by eating their skin, others needed to extract energy from the crystal, and countless ways to become stronger.
The only ones who had such a way of becoming stronger by eating crystals were humans and a few races that processed cores.
Brandon was walking when a group of people approached him. "Nice to meet you, my name is James, maybe you have already heard of me in this shelter. I could see that you were carrying the body of a medium-class snake, which shows your strength and that you have the qualifications to join us. Would you like to join our group?"
Brandon almost vomited after hearing this person's narcissism, but his heart almost started pumping blood and his energy unleashed when he could see who the person talking to him was. The others could feel his killer aura for a moment and put themselves on guard.
"What do you want, human?" Brandon replied. He always wore his mask when he was inside or outside the shelter, only taking it off when he rested in the inn.
James looked at Brandon strangely for a moment, then sneered and said, "I thought you were one of us humans, but I see now that you're just a filthy race."
Although Brandon was also human, he was uncomfortable hearing such a thing from this person. "Filthy race? Says the human, one of the weakest races in the hunting area."
James drew his sword, but as soon as he did, the shelter guards approached.
"What do you think you're doing?" shouted one of the guards.
James sheathed his sword again and looked at Brandon for a moment before saying, "You're lucky today, but I hope I don't see you outside the shelter or you'll be finished."
Brandon watched them go. The day was still long, so he decided to go hunting again. Although he was strong, he couldn't underestimate a group of sentient beings. It wasn't the same as attacking beasts.
He waited for a while and then headed back into the desert to continue hunting. Along the way, he cleaned the crystal and then swallowed it, feeling the energy coursing through his body.

[1 to 10 attributes will be obtained]

With this, he accumulated a total of 13 points, which he wouldn't use yet. He preferred to accumulate them and then allocate them in exact amounts.
hmm
All of Brandon's instincts went crazy for a moment.
Brandon didn't know what it was, but as soon as he felt it, he jumped back with all his strength. In that instant, a giant worm emerged from the sand where he had been standing.
If he had stayed there a few more seconds, he would have been devoured. The worm stopped and its giant body could be seen, three times larger than him.
Brandon aimed his crossbow, embedded in his left arm, and loaded an arrow that shot toward the worm.
The arrow hit, but the worm only made a small noise and lunged at Brandon. Its defense was too high, so the arrow had only caused a small electric bruise on the beast.
Brandon moved to the left to dodge the beast's attack, but his clothes got caught on one of its spikes and he was dragged through the sand.
This time, fortunately, he had buried his backpack and left several marks to retrieve it, otherwise it would have been broken again by these attacks.
He was determined to buy a portable spatial storage.
Before receiving too many blows, Brandon grabbed onto the worm's spike and moved his body to the top of the worm.
It was common sense to know that worms had small eyes at the front, so he moved in search of them. The worm was still moving when he felt two electric currents extending from its eyes to its interior.
*Giii*
It spiraled its body with such force that Brandon was thrown far from the worm and landed on the sand, rolling a few times.
The worm, for its part, buried itself in the ground again and didn't appear for the rest of the time. Brandon had waited for it to return, sending two condensed electric shocks through its eyes, so he was able to injure the worm inside.
Getting up from the ground, he walked through the desert following the trail he had left. When he reached the place where he had been before, he looked around to orient himself again, then walked in one direction for a while until he reached a mound of dirt where his backpack was.
Taking out some provisions, he left it in its place and began moving again, this time heading to the center of the desert where the main hunting area was.
