No one like you

"Lady Selah, you love Blair, don't you?"

Even if it's just a glimpse, Aeneas can catch the change in expression on Selah's face. But just as he had expected, she was quick to control herself. Her calm expression instantly became one of surprise, then calmed down again.

What a woman, Aeneas praised in his heart.

Unfortunately, Selah still can't fool Aeneas.

"No," Selah replied.

"Oh."

"The second I learned of his betrayal, the only feeling left for Crown Prince Blair was hatred," Selah continued.

"Hate is a strong word," comments Aeneas. "That's why you also asked that we not have a relationship with anyone in our future marriage?"

"Yes. I don't like to share what should be completely mine." Selah looked Aeneas straight in the eye. "Do you now object to the terms?"

"I have signed it, which means I have agreed," says Aeneas. "Take it easy, Lady Selah. I'm not interested in any woman."

"For now."

"No; forever." Aeneas smiles while touching his chest, right where his heart beats. "I don't want to give my heart to anyone. More precisely, I do not believe in love."

"That… was beyond expectations."

"You don't expect to be loved by me, do you?" asked Aeneas to make sure.

The answer from Selah came quickly and reassuringly, "No. I only ask you to fulfill all the conditions that we have agreed on."

Aeneas smiled faintly. It's true what Blair said, looking for a partner doesn't need to be pretty. The important thing is smart and strong. And, this Selah Dulcia was a woman who lived up to their expectations.

Selah is smart, strong, and rich. The point that Aeneas likes the most is, this woman can control her feelings. Selah is a woman who is willing to hurt and lie to her own feelings for the sake of the dignity she guards.

No wonder Blair likes her, Aeneas thought secretly as he sipped his tea.

"Is there something on my face?" she asked.

Aeneas smiled, then shook his head.

He didn't need to be afraid if one day Selah told him he loved her.

Blair looked at the woman in front of him, pouting in annoyance. Due to the huge height difference, he had to look down at her. It was so different when Blair had to look at Selah. Added to her height with her heels, Selah's height is not much different from his. Blair could always look at his fiancee with straight and clear eyes.

"Blair! You didn't hear me, did you?" Evanthe grumbled, spoiled.

Blair blinked, then smiled quickly. "I heard, really. You met Prince Aeneas and Lady Selah, right?"

"You don't look surprised," Evanthe pouted. "It's useless. I'm tired of coming here."

"I told you if there is Raul, who always helps me get information," said Blair. "Besides, don't you come here too often? Your existence can raise a lot of questions."

"Why not? Even though your fiancee is now openly going on a date with another man. They have done a very disgraceful thing."

"Evanthe," Blair said sharply. "The other man you meant just now is my little brother, the second prince of this kingdom."

Evanthe looked surprised to hear that. Her eyes watered momentarily as if she was holding back tears. "I… I just don't want to hide like this all the time. I mean… if Lady Selah can reveal her relationship with a man other than you, can't we too?"

"Evanthe, haven't I told you from the start that there is very little chance of opening up our relationship in society."

"It's only natural for a king to have several concubines. Lady Selah has also done something disgraceful. You should break up with her now…."

Blair let out a long breath. Selah had asked to break up with him first, but Blair was reluctant to let her go.

"Come on, let's go to my room first," Blair said softly.

Evanthe looked instantly happy. He took Blair's hand without hesitation, and they walked side by side.

With Selah, Blair has never been like this. Let alone walking together, walking hand in hand is very rare. They mostly walked side by side, or Selah would keep walking distance behind him.

They will not enter each other's room with joy and instead feel tense. Both Blair and Selah knew that if they took the space alone, they would argue and fight.

Their relationship was already tinged with disharmony even before they got married.

But how is Selah's relationship with Aeneas now? Are they really as rumored? As Raul reported, did they really do what Blair and Selah never did?

Is Selah's relationship with Aeneas happy?

"What are you thinking about?" Evanthe snapped angrily. "Even though your lover is beside you!"

"You know that my work is hectic."

"You lie." Evanthe stopped in her tracks. Her bright blue eyes stared at Blair sadly. "You must be thinking about Lady Selah, right?"

Blair realized something at once.

Blair approached Evanthe because she thought something was wrong with Selah. His relationship with Selah was never sweet. It was boring and even suffocating. Evanthe's presence is an oasis in Blair's love life. As soon as Evanthe came into his life, Blair immediately ignored Selah.

But now…

As soon as Blair heard about Selah's closeness to Aeneas, she thought about it even more. Why? Was it because the man Selah was close to was Aeneas? Was it because Blair felt betrayed?

Is it because Blair loves Selah?

"I'm just worried about people's opinions. After all, Lady Selah is Duke Dulcia's daughter, and Duke Dulcia is my support. If bad things happen to him, I may also receive criticism," Blair reasoned.

Evanthe looked dissatisfied with Blair's answer.

"Evanthe," Blair called softly. He touched his girlfriend's chin, then smiled at her. "You are my one and only lover. You don't have to worry about me thinking about other women."

"Really?"

"Yes. To me, there is no woman as beautiful as you." Blair kissed Evanthe's forehead. Her cheeks blushed sweetly for a moment. "Even after everything we've done, you're still embarrassed."

"Of course. Because my boyfriend did it," Evanthe said.

"So? Are you feeling any better?"

Evanthe nodded happily.

"I'll ask the maid to bring your favorite dessert after this."

"Wow! I'm so impatient. Come on!"

Lie.

While Evanthe pulled her hand away, Blair had other thoughts.

[To me, no woman like Selah in this world.]
