You ungrateful child!

"I don't think it's wise to talk about the relationship that Crown Prince Blair once had here, Your Eminence," a witness said calmly. Selah watched it clearly. He was a witness who looked pro towards Duke Dulcia just now. "Aren't we discussing what Duke Dulcia did to Prince Aeneas?"

"But this trial is the trial to Duke Dulcia, isn't it?" Selah said calmly. "Here, Duke Dulcia is present as a suspect, which means he will be tried for whatever his fault. Not only attacking Baron Tullia and Prince Aeneas, but Duke Dulcia has also infiltrated people's homes without permission."

Duke Dulcia immediately glared fiercely at Selah. "You-"

"Duke Dulcia has been disrupting people's parties and causing fear in the other invitees," Selah continued ignoring her father. "And the bottom line is, the party Duke Dulcia messed up was the one Crown Prince Blair and Prince Aeneas were currently attending. I think those reasons are enough to show that Duke Dulcia committed crimes and made threats against members of the royal family. And it has been proven that Duke Dulcia ended up injuring a member of the Imperial family."

A buzz of approval filled the room instantly. Selah turned to Baron Tullia. Her uncle gave a slight nod, asking Selah to continue whatever it was.

"Duke Dulcia was fortunate that Baron Tullia did not press any other charges because he had caused trouble in his residence," Selah continued.

"You can't say that when Baron Tullia herself isn't allowed to speak yet!" attacked another judge. Selah suspected he was on Duke Dulcia's side. "After all, you're his daughter. How can you say something like that?!"

"You came here as a witness to defend Prince Aeneas. And from the documents I received, there is not a single defense for Duke Dulcia from you," said the Judge.

Duke Dulcia hurriedly replied. "Yes! How could you do that to me, your own father?! You ungrateful child! Don't you think what people will say about this?!"

Selah stared at Duke Dulcia flatly.

Even now, at the worst time like now, you still think of me that way, Selah thought.

"I don't feel comfortable saying this, Your Eminence," Selah said quietly. "But I will act for the good and for the sake of the Dulcia family. Duke Dulcia's position is wrong here, so I don't defend him. After all, Duke Dulcia…" After giving something to the Judge. "I found something interesting while I was filling in for you."

The judges immediately read it. Their expressions showed disbelief. And seeing that, Blair stood up from his chair. He glanced at Selah warily, then said something to his knight.

The distance between them made it impossible for them to exchange words. Selah couldn't read Blair's lips either. Aeneas beside Blair actually looks curious, then says something to Blair.

The knight Blair sent asked Selah for a copy of the document she gave him.

"This…" The Judge looked alternately at Selah and Duke Dulcia.

Selah gave a slight nod. "I know I was being rude. But while I'm here, at the same time, I want to clear my family's name as soon as possible. I want to file a lawsuit against Duke Dulcia for misappropriating aid funds to victims affected by drought several years ago," he said.

"No!" someone from across the room shouted. Everyone immediately turned towards him.

Selah knew him as one of the nobles who cooperated with Duke Dulcia in misappropriating the funds he was referring to. He definitely wasn't prepared for his name to be dragged down after this.

"I know that the trial of Duke Dulcia will be prolonged this way. But I want my claim to be processed immediately. I want to immediately apologize to the affected victims, even though it's too late," Selah continued amidst the clamor of the courtroom. He bowed deeply. "I beg for your wisdom, Your Eminence."

"Wait! What have you done to my office?! Wrong!" shouted Duke Dulcia.

"Your Eminence, you can't just let this all happen. Lady Dulcia still doesn't have solid proof!"

"The document could be fake. Lady Dulcia must have done something when–"

"SHUT UP!"

That one word from Blair made the room silent for a moment. This was the first time everyone to hear Blair shouting.

Everyone looked down, including Selah. She and everyone else could sense Blair's anger just from his expression. I don't know what to do after this.

I'm the troublemaker here, Selah thought. Maybe after this, she'll be the one who gets punished for making a fuss...

"Lady Dulcia," Blair called out. "Actually, where did you get this document?"

"With all due respect, Your Highness. It was my family's butler, Mr. Jeremiah, who actually found the document. He found it in the safe of Duke Dulcia's study. I watched it as Jeremiah took it," explained Selah.

"Judge, what should we do in a situation like this?" he asked.

"The documents that Lady Dulcia brought have nothing to do with the main purpose of this trial, Your Highness. But considering how crucial Lady Dulcia's claim is because of the loss of the kingdom from Duke Dulcia's actions… According to the laws of the Balthasar Kingdom, we must process it immediately," the Judge explained.

"Then what about the suspect who is currently receiving other charges?"

"The suspect will return to prison while waiting for new charges to be processed. Then the suspect will be punished according to the two demands."

"Then do it."

"Your Highness!" Duke Dulcia protested.

Blair narrowed her eyes sharply at Duke Dulcia. "I'm disappointed in you, Duke Dulcia," he said, then left the courtroom just like that.

After watching him leave, then his eyes met Aeneas's. Her fiancé smiled broadly as he waved at her.

Aeneas is still Aeneas.

"I was shocked when you suddenly sued your father for something else."

"You think you're the only one who can surprise?"

Aeneas laughs at this. He plucked a random flower and twirled it in his hand.

Then unexpectedly, Aeneas gave it to Selah.

"A reward for your success. Congratulations on finally getting rid of your father," said Aeneas.

After receiving it, Selah said, "Thank you, even though these are flowers you picked from the court garden."

Again Aeneas laughed. "Is there anything else you would like as a gift?"

"No, no. Heart Of the Kingdom, then that peridot ring… You've given me too many gifts already. The Palace might go bankrupt because of you."

"Wow, I didn't expect you to worry about the Palace's finances," joked Aeneas. "But that's not what I mean. You know, maybe some sort of request?"

The wind suddenly felt cold. That sunset was odd. Aeneas… he was trying to offer something Selah might be trapped in.

Should Selah accept his offer? There were a lot of things she wanted if asked like that. Aeneas is a prince. He must be able to give Selah whatever it is.

"No," Selah answered confidently. "There isn't any. The important thing right now is that Duke Dulcia has been eliminated. In the future, it will be easier for us to move."

"Very well if that is your wish," said Aeneas with a broad smile. "But don't hesitate to ask anything of me, Lady Selah."

"The only thing I want from you is to stop surprising me."

Aeneas laughed once again.
