The Invitation

Lucas nodded. "Yes. When we were kids, I thought it'll be just you and me forever. Then Caden stepped in. He was our first friend. When he said he wanted to marry you someday, I thought it was just a child's words. Every time I see you with him, I feel left out. But it all actually changed when I met Brie."

"How?" She asked.

Lucas smiled. "She was like your Caden. She say silly things all the time. She does everything she wanted and no one could stop her even her parents. I was jealous when you got engaged with Caden. I thought I lost a friend and a sister. But when I fell in love with Brie, I realized your feelings to each other."

"Will you apologize to Caden and Brie?" She asked.

Lucas sighed. "Yeah. I just don't know what to do with Brie. I'm not sure if I deserve her. I always hurt her."

"You're hopeless. Just tell her you love her. What's so hard about that?" She ranted.

"She's fifteen. If tell her now, do you realize what she would do?"
