Her eyes widened while looking at Caden's naked body. But what made her heart beat faster was when he turned to look at her.

His eyes seemed so cold and distant. As if he wasn't the Caden she knew. He stared at her like she was someone he didn't know.

"C-Caden, I-I'm sorry. I called your name b-but you didn't answer." She stuttered.

She was supposed to run away when Caden walked toward him. She froze and couldn't take a single step.

His upper body wasn't full of scars, but it was full of tattoos. He had a rose tattoo on his neck, a skull pierced with a sword, and wings on his chest.

Lucas' expression changed. He knew exactly what was on Caden's mind.

"If you break Alira's heart, you're dead!"

Caden didn't answer, making Lucas mad.

"Explain yourself, Caden!" Skyler exclaimed before Lucas could react.

Caden sighed. "I need to use her for Alira's sake. I can be the bad guy if it's an assurance of her safety."

"You're crazy! You should talk to Alira first."

"And tell her what? That Benjamin was murdered and I am the prime suspect?"

"You're just a person of interest."

"It doesn't matter. For me, it's the same. Alira is not well. I can't tell her about Benjamin yet." Caden muffled.

Lucas clicked his tongue. "We can't hide it from her forever. She will immediately know about it when she wakes up. It's all over the news and the internet."
