The Lewd Elf Strikes Again 1

"Is that her?"

"Amazing! She's even more beautiful than I thought!"

"D-Do you think we can convince her to join our party?"

Even more so than usual, the crowd were buzzing around me. I was simply going for a walk with Log, and now we're surrounded by a bunch of strangers. Fortunately, they were not approaching and they're properly keeping their distance.

Sigh...

It's been a while since I've been treated like this. It was exhilarating to be treated like a hero for the first time, but it can easily be problematic in a short while.

If it continues on like this, I simply won't be able take a peaceful stroll anywhere without a crowd forming around me.

It's not like I can do anything about it. This outcome was within my expectation when I decided to save the town. For now, I simply have to deal with it.

"Keh! They're staring inappropriately at you, master!" Log inwardly complain.

He doesn't seem to appreciate the predatory stares being directed at me. Of course, among the stares of admiration, there were also the ones who were lustfully eyeing every inch of my body. Unsurprisingly, all of them were men.

Truly, I hope all of this unwarranted attention will cool down soon...

While ignoring all the eyes around us, we soon arrived at our destination.

Just as usual, Log and I were early in the guild. However, we're not here to take on some quest like we always do...

Finally, I thought it was time for Log to register as an adventurer himself. After training him for months, I thought he's strong enough to farm his own rank and work as his own person. Well, not entirely, since he will still be working as my partner in a temporary adventurer party we'll be forming after.

"Welcome, Eria! Are you here to take up another quest?" the receptionist excitedly ask.

"No, I did not come here for that."

"Eeh...?" she grumbled, clearly dissapointed.

"Hmm? What's the matter?"

With a sigh, she leaned in closer to me in an attempt to muffle her voice.

"But there's really a lot of personal requests asking for you. The guild would really appreciate it if you would take a look at them. Please, would you at least consider taking up one of them?" she desperately pleads.

I thought so...

Ever since I defended the town from the invaders, there's been a huge amount of people trying to contact me through my job as an adventurer. They were indirectly trying to approach me by sending the guild requests that were specifically asking for my service.

I would consider taking them, if not for the fact that almost all of them were so trivial and dishonest. There was even one offering a ton of gold coins in exchange for "some services". It would not take a genius to know what it was they were implying. They're all simply trying to get under my pants...

Why can't they just go to a brothel instead if that's what they're looking for? What's the benifit of taking all of these extra steps?

"I'll think about it later," I deliberately tried to change the subject. "I'm not planning on taking any quest for now. I came here to register my pupil," I said, beckoning at Log to introduce himself.

"Th-That's right! Miss receptionist, I want to become an adventurer!" Log nervously shouted.

And I even taught him how to properly introduce himself... Now that he's so nervous, he seems to have already forgotten the script...

Not just how to properly read and write, I was also teaching Log proper manners in my spare time. He's a very kind and considerate kid, but he can be barbarish and harsh sometimes. It would be best for the two of us if he manages to at least improve his social skills.

"Heh?" the receptionist amusingly smiled at him. "So your cute little caddy here is finally taking his turn to become an adventurer?"

"Do-Don't call me little!" Log complained.

"Fufu... Well, if that's all, then we're glad to accommodate you," she replied, before turning to Log again and saying, "Your name's Log, right? If you want to become an adventurer, you'll have to take a few tests first."

"Yes!" Log readily answered.

I already told him all about the physical and mental evaluations they would put him through, so he's properly expecting it. They were not difficult, so I'm certain he would be able to easily pass them all. The physical part of the tests in particular, I'm confident it would be a piece of cake for him.

"After he's done, I want you to hand him the easiest subjagation quest you have. Just for the occasion, I want him to properly complete a quest on his own," I told the receptionist.

Log is now capable of defeating multiple goblin variants by himself, so I'm sure he'll be able to take on a few ordinary goblins or kobolds for his first quest.

"Are you sure he'll be able to handle a subjugation quest on his own?"

"He should be fine," I confident said.

"Mrr..." she grumbles, clearly worried. "Are you sure you can do it?" this time again, she directly asked Log.

"I can!" Log adamantly answered.

"Well, if you're that much confident..." she shrugged her shoulders, defeated. "Just be careful not to scratch your face, okay? That would ruin your cuteness factor," she added.

I get that she's simply worried, but does she have to look at him so passionately? She's staring at him like he's her prey.

Is she a shotacon...?

"But before all that, we should do your tests first and then register you. I'll call for an examiner," she said so as she promptly left her desk.

"Then, I'll leave everything to you, Log."

"Ye-Yes! Leave it to me, master! I won't fail!"

Fufu... This certainly feels like I'm sending my kid on his first day in school...

"Do you best!" I said as I stroke his fluffy hair.

Since I still have some business left to do at the Baron's place, I'll need to leave Log here. It's a bit annoying, but I guess I don't have any choice for the matter. Even worse, the Baron himself is yet to arrive back home, so I'll be meeting with Nolan and Nero instead.

Guh... With the two of them combined, I hope nothing troublesome or perverted happens...
