Intense couldn't describe the moment Clyde was in at the moment as he stared at five rifles and three to four shotguns all being aimed at him while having a random woman bleeding out all over the side of his uniform 'This will be a funny story to tell my wife when I get back home.' he thought to himself as he took a deep breath before deciding to speak.
"We are not your enemy, my name is Clyde Sanders the Sandman of Moonlight guild" Clyde began to say as the woman looked over at him in shock as the man in a black baseball cap holding a shotgun in front of him put it down slightly "Nah, you mean Clyde of the Blood Sand, the man that killed so many people that his sand turned red and when it did he was the "Red Sand Demon" with a thirst that he just can't seem to quench..." He said while randomly forming a smile.
"At least that's what the reporters said." He said while putting his shotgun down "Why is the famous man of the Red Sand in the west district?" He said while Clyde continued to try to keep his composure "I was sent here to help, given that upon the first thirty minutes I was here I've encountered a massacre inside a guild hall that was friends with my guild." He said while gesturing to the woman on his left still bleeding out.
"Sorry that you lost your allies but we can't exactly sympathize since we lost more than a few of our own, we may not exactly be on the best of terms or friends with Moonlight right now but we need to see if she's not a ghoul" He said while gesturing towards her "You mean to tell me you think I would bring in a ghoul? What type of man do you think I am?" He said as there as another glance towards her.
"Don't take this the wrong way...but this isn't the first time your guilds name has been associated with helping out a supernatural." He said as everyone's aim became pointed at her as she moved her hand as droplets of blood floated in the air before hitting the ground "I have a water ability, I'm just now learning to control blood" She said as she started to drop while Clyde held her up.
"She needs medical attention, the longer we wait she'll die!" Clyde said as they all sat there for a moment until nods went around the group as one of them clicked the elevator "All of the supplies are on the top floors with us, even if you did manage to somehow get in without us knowing you wouldn't have found any supplies on any of the low or mid-level floors" The man in the black cap said as they all headed for the elevators.
Still holding onto her as they made their ascent to the tenth floor he could tell at any moment she could pass out from the blood loss and once the doors opened he saw people walking around and conversing as it was dark inside but with lights among the walls even tables and chairs like a regular guild hall.
"We can take care of her!" Someone said as a small group of women came up to him to grab the woman from his arms "I think I should accompany you to make sure she stays safe." Clyde replied as the woman in blue scrubs raised a brow before looking him up and down "And how exactly are you gonna get consent if she isn't even awake? Do you even know her name?" She said as Clyde looked down at her to see that she had passed out and her hand no longer no the wound.
"Relax man, come with me, maybe we can talk shop while the women do what they do." The man in the black cap said as Clyde let her go as he then decided to get a full look at the man in front of him "Black plaid flannel and ripped jeans and boots while standing at six foot two- the exact same height as him.
"Alright, so who are you?" Clyde asked as the man chuckled "Wow, straight to the point huh? I like that." He said while walking into one of the rooms as he could see a bed and a tv mounted to the wall and a counter in front of the window "I am many people, but you can call me Danny." He said while winking.
"To think I'd actually have one of great men in our craft in my room, you know I planned on joining up with Moonlight until I came across that guy that was once with y'all, what was his name?..." Danny started to say as he started to snap his fingers for a moment as Clyde's eyes began to slightly widen 'He can't be possibly talking about?' He thought to himself as he heard a clap that snapped him out his thoughts.
"Lucas." He said as they both began staring at each other while Danny was pouring shots into a glass "So that's how you knew about us having a Supernatural...then that means you're one of his victims."
"One that got away." Danny corrected him as he passed him a glass "Bastard looked me in my face and told me he wanted my ability and said it was important to him if he could copy it and that I still would have my ability intact, but when you have a rare ability as is you don't want nobody running around with the same one as ya!" He said while downing his glass.
After hearing that Clyde knew for sure he was talking about Zero's father...Lucas, he wasn't very fond of him either but he knew that before he was at the hospital with Lorraine he went around fighting people with rare abilities- even killed a couple of them "You must be the Phantom, a role model back when the world was a safer place and made your moniker from a kids show from when abilities first came into the world." Clyde said as Danny chuckled while pouring another shot.
"That was my father actually, I was just there when Lucas came to steal the ability while me and my mother was sleeping." Danny said as Clyde downed his glass and let Danny pour him another "I'm sorry to hear that, I can't imagine what it must've been like seeing a fight like that." Clyde said turning his chair slightly and pulling his shirt up for Danny to see.
The large scar that only his wife sees every day now revealed to Danny as his eyes was in shock as he looked at every detail "Your father is a brave man and I can say that while knowing this scar is why I feel sorry for anyone that was killed while he was branding the Moonlight guild's name." Clyde said while pulling his shirt back down.
"That must've been some battle." Danny said as Clyde raised his glass while nodding slightly "When the guild found out we had no choice but to get rid of him...friend or not we are Hunters and we owe our lives to our craft." He said as he saw Danny nodding slowly "Our craft is all we have, unless we somehow manage to lead a somewhat normal life but even then it's never really normal." He said as Clyde chuckled sadly while looking at his wedding ring on his finger and noticing the action Danny poured more shots.
"Anyways back to business, now that you're here maybe you can help me clear out the west district I know you're under orders to help but I'm asking you to help me lend more of a hand than you were ordered to." Danny asked as Clyde swirled the alcohol around his glass "What did you have in mind?" He said while Danny pulled open the curtain.
"Soon military personnel should be coming to assist us and clear these motherfuckers out, all I need from you is to help me save as many lives possible, as you saw when you got here not everyone is in the best fighting shape at the moment." He said while pulling back the curtain to the window "If we can get a perimeter set up we can get the people we saved back here to the hospital to get patched up and when military arrive-"
"They can take care of the rest, with this plan I could probably get out of here sooner." Clyde said cutting him off as he downed his shot before slamming the glass on the table "Okay, I can help along with the help of that survivor I brought in as well and if we do this right we won't have any casualties." Clyde said while standing up and stretching.
"How soon can we get to work?" He said as Danny stood up as well "If you wanna wait until your new friend is done healing we can grab her and maybe head out tonight." He said as they both began to head out the room "Danny! We need your help!" Someone shouted as a short chubby man in glasses ran up to him with a tablet in his hands while his white coat flapped behind him.
"What is it?" Danny asked while looking at the tablet and the moment he looked he took the tablet from the man's hands and was clicking and tapping on the screen while Clyde was trying to comprehend what was going on "We may not have to worry about leaving out tonight." Danny said while handing him the tablet as it showed all the cameras around the hospital.
"They got the whole place surrounded, there's no way out." Danny said as Clyde could see that there was multiple people on all sides of the building covering every exit but haven't made a move to enter the building 'This is bad on every level, I don't think I can handle this alone.' Clyde began thinking to himself 'I need help.' Clyde thought as he to realized the seriousness of his situation and how he would get out of it.
