CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN (A MEETING WITH AGU)

"Powers? What powers? I don't have powers, I am as useless as Bonu, the old turtle that lays under the olive tree outside Kugama's gate day and night doing nothing." Hanra said after she chuckled at what Agu said.

Agu scoffed at her and said.

"You are stupid. I had expected you to be smart since I gave powers from mine but you are not. You just look like King Bajju but you are nothing like him."

"My grandfather. Do you know my grandfather?" Hanra asked.

"Know? I loved your grandfather, if only it was right for an Izagi to be in love with a mere mortal then maybe, I would have been your grandmother." Agu said and laughed at her own words.

"Even in a trance, I am a joker," Agu said and they both laughed.

"Can you please tell me about my grandfather?" Hanra pleaded with Agu and was finally convinced after what seemed like ages. Agu told her the story of King Bajju and even told her about what she saw in him that made her fall for him.

"King Bajju of Kugama was a great man who was willing to do just anything for his people but you, I am not so sure if you can do the same for your people."

"How do I do that with no magic from within me?" Hanra said in a sad tone and looked away.

"Every Kugama child, male or female has a magic within. They just have to find it and yours does not need to be found, it just needs to be embraced." Agu said and pointed at a bright night coming close with great intensity.

"Embrace your magic or embrace your death as well as that of everyone in Kugama."

The light came and Hanra was hit by a musical note. She fell backward and quickly got up again, Holding the hand of her dead mother, she screamed.

Slowly her scream turned into a melody and a beautiful song was heard. She started raising her voice and Nenma also started raising hers as well, they kept sending musical notes like swords at each other but Hanra was shielding herself while Nenma was being hit by every musical note fired at her.
