'What is this feeling?' Fang Xue, who was heading towards Hu Wen's courtyard, felt a strange sense of familiarity. It was the Demonic Qi that the Third Elder had released. As Fang Xue was half-demon, her sensitivity to this Qi was much higher than that of any human cultivator.
'It must be just my imagination.' Fang Xue decided to ignore the feeling, as it only lasted for a moment.
When Fang Xue snapped out of her thoughts, she found herself facing a courtyard identical to hers, except for one difference: there were many flowers planted throughout the yard.
As Fang Xue admired the sight, she noticed a figure bent down, watering the plants. It was none other than Hu Wen.
"Little Wen." Fang Xue called out to Hu Wen.
Hu Wen, who was watering the plants, turned around when she heard her name being called and saw Fang Xue holding Li Qiang.
Smiling slightly, Hu Wen put the watering can on the ground and ran towards Fang Xue.
"Elder sister, what brings you here?" Hu Wen asked excitedly, as she hadn't seen Fang Xue in a few days.
"I was cultivating, so I couldn't come here for a few days. Now that I'm done, I came to get my identification." Fang Xue replied in a soft tone, with a hint of coldness.
Hu Wen didn't mind Fang Xue's tone and took a small plate from her spatial ring, throwing it to Fang Xue.
Fang Xue caught the plate and saw that it was completely red, with a slight heat emanating from it. Additionally, it had her name and the number 100 written next to it.
"You should already know what this number means. It's the number of points you have. I'm sure Elder Sister wants to see where you can exchange and earn these points, so follow me." Hu Wen didn't waste time and started walking towards the mansion, knowing that Fang Xue was a straightforward person.
Fang Xue put her identification into her spatial ring and followed Hu Wen, who seemed hesitant.
As they walked together, Fang Xue noticed that something was bothering Hu Wen, but she decided not to force the situation. She already had an idea of what might be the reason for Hu Wen's hesitation.
'I've been absent for three days, and during that time, she must have met with Gu Ning at least once. My words must have made her suspicious of Gu Ning.' Fang Xue thought.
Along the way, many eyes turned to Fang Xue, and although those looks were admiring, they also showed fear.
"Big sister, what happened in these three days that I didn't see you? Why are so many people looking at you with fear?" Hu Wen felt the stares directed towards Fang Xue and couldn't contain her curiosity.
"Nothing much. Someone named Zhao Shen challenged me and tried to kill me, but I taught him a little lesson." Fang Xue replied quietly and in a cold tone, her words echoing like thunder in Hu Wen's ears.
"Zhao Shen, the disciple of the Third Elder?" Hu Wen asked with a trembling voice, knowing how brutal Fang Xue could be. When Fang Xue mentioned 'a little lesson,' Hu Wen couldn't imagine what had actually happened to him.
"Exactly. The Third Elder took him away to heal his severed limbs, but I doubt he can fix Zhao Shen's 'equipment'." Fang Xue laughed maliciously, giving a sinister smile from behind her veil.
Hu Wen swallowed hard and decided to remain silent for the rest of the way to a distant pavilion of the mansion.
Upon entering the pavilion, Fang Xue saw that it was quite spacious and divided into two parts. In the first part, there was a large board covered in pasted papers, and the Second Elder, Hu Ling, was sitting behind a counter next to it.
In another part of the pavilion, the First Elder sat behind a counter with his eyes closed.
"Uncle Ling takes care of the missions. You can pick up the missions from the board and take them to Uncle Ling, who will provide you with more information. When you finish, give him what the mission requires, and he will give you the corresponding points.
"The First Elder takes care of exchanging points for items. On the list that is on the counter, if you try to connect your consciousness, just like with a spatial ring, a series of items with their respective prices will appear. Inform the First Elder about the items you want to acquire, and he will make the exchange for you." Hu Wen explained to Fang Xue, who nodded as she listened.
Now, with a better understanding of things, Fang Xue approached the First Elder as she wanted to see the list of items she could exchange for her 100 points.
The First Elder opened one eye when he felt someone approaching and saw that it was Fang Xue coming towards him. He nodded his head and closed his eyes again, as if he was sleeping or meditating.
Fang Xue didn't pay much attention to the First Elder and picked up the list that was on the counter. Taking it in her hands, she tried to connect her consciousness to the list, just as she would with a spatial ring.
Soon, a series of words and numbers appeared in her mind, providing information about the items, a brief description, and their prices.
Fang Xue sent the list to Li Qiang through their connection. Li Qiang, being an Ancient Goddess with extensive knowledge, could help her choose the best items.
'Holy cow! There are some fascinating items here, even more than in that 'Treasure Room.' However, they are expensive, and you don't have the ability to buy them now. The best option would be the Blood Stones.' Li Qiang said to Fang Xue. Fang Xue was surprised to hear this, as Li Qiang claimed there were even more interesting items there than in the Treasure Room she had visited earlier.
This was because these items had unique and hidden functions that were common knowledge in the Divine World but unknown in the Mortal World, making them appear as "common" items.
Fang Xue quickly found the Blood Stones and read their description: "Stones capable of aiding in the recovery of lost blood." Their value was 20 points per stone.
After finishing reading the description, Fang Xue found the item to be quite ordinary and saw nothing special about it. However, trusting Li Qiang, she called out to the First Elder.
"First Elder, I would like to exchange my points for 5 Blood Stones." Fang Xue said, handing her identification to the elder.
The First Elder opened his eyes and raised an eyebrow, surprised by Fang Xue's choice, but remained silent. After verifying Fang Xue's identification, he placed his hand on it, and a bright red light emerged, causing the number 100 to disappear and be replaced by 0.
Fang Xue found the process magical and fascinating but didn't dwell on it. She took the 5 Blood Stones handed to her by the First Elder, who had retrieved them from his spatial ring.
