1.5 Stealth

Cole gazed at Persie with a wry smile, noticing the wide-eyed look on his face, making him appear like a deer in headlights.

A cute deer with lush beautiful hair and flowing locks that cascaded down his back. Persie's hair was shiny and silky, with a healthy sheen that caught the light.

Cole felt the urge to run his hands through Persie's hair, something he already wanted to do when he watched the live feed, but now even more so with Persie standing in front of him.

"I-I'm sorry for trespassing. I just wanted to..." Persie trailed off, unsure of what to say.

It's not like he could say he was the god of springtime, and that he had a special connection to nature. That would be the fastest way to end up in an asylum.

"I just wanted to enjoy the calm of the meadow. I know it was wrong to break in, and I'm truly sorry," Persie said, looking at Cole with wet eyes and biting his lower lip.

Persie knew he needed to build a good connection with the leader of the Leos household if he wanted to get revenge on those who hurt the original.

Even if Demetrius had decided to make Evander his heir, Cole's final decision would supersede his. Persie imperatively had to have a good relationship with him.

But Cole's plan to destroy the meadow to build a warehouse made him Persie's enemy, not that he could do anything about it, because the mission came first.

Persie always had a heightened sensitivity to the energy and vibrations of living things, including plants and flowers.

He felt a sense of interconnectedness with nature and experienced a visceral reaction to the natural world around him.

When he saw a flower, he didn't just see its beauty, but he also sensed its essence and energy.

Persie could sense the emotions of flowers or any other living organisms, whether they were happy, sad, or content.

He was also deeply affected by changes in the environment, such as shifts in weather patterns or seasons.

When he was in nature, his body and mind were filled with pure and unclouded energy, which felt so good. That's why he always loved to have flowers with him.

Zoe noticed how panicked Persie was and sneered. She didn't like that smile on Cole's face. Zoe was Cole's assistant and the closest person to him in the family.

She knew how much of a flirt he could be. As soon as she had seen the look on his face when Persie was picking up flowers, she knew he was interested.

Zoe would never accept that. First of all, she couldn't even understand why he would complicate things by starting something with someone surnamed Leos, whether he was a real Leos or not.

Although, she knew he only slept with his partners a few times before moving on. Zoe wished Cole would finally open his eyes and see that she was the one for him.

Seeing him date someone new again and again hurt her, but their relationship had gotten better. Zoe knew that one day Cole would realize that it was her all along.

To see Persie more panicked, she said, "Leader Cole, we have to go, or we will be late for dinner."

Cole was amused when he noticed Persie gaping. He glanced at Zoe and could tell she had said that to panic him.

Persie stammered, "Y-you're President Cole, and this land is yours." Obviously, Persie knew that, but he had to act.

Cole said with a gentle smile, "It is, and this is indeed my land."

Persie swallowed again with difficulty and looked close to crying.

"I'm so sorry..." He didn't finish and bit his lip. He seemed sure that no matter what he said, he would be screwed.

Persie blinked when Cole said, "I'm not angry that you've trespassed on my land."

Zoe's eyes grew dark. Persie felt confused. He knew what kind of businessman Cole was. He was solely focused on achieving his goals and maximizing profits, often at the expense of others.

Cole was willing to take risks and make tough decisions that others would find unethical or morally questionable, to gain an edge in the market.

He only cared about making sure his late grandfather's company would be the best in the galaxy.

Honestly, Persie admired that about him. He wished he had been like that and more cutthroat.

When he was lying in that meadow, he thought about his life on Mount Olympus. All he focused on was making his mother happy and his duty as a god, while the other gods got to experiment and have fun.

Unfortunately, unlike the others, he hadn't come from a simple family. His mother, Demeter, was the goddess of agriculture, harvest, and fertility.

If that wasn't important enough, his grandfather was a titan. They put a lot of pressure on him to be proper and not to tarnish the family's reputation.

That's what Persie did, and look where that landed him. His mother didn't even show up to the trial, and neither did his grandfather.

Since once he went back, his life would remain the same, he decided that he would sow wild oats while he is a mortal.

It would allow him to make mistakes and find out more about himself, without being judged and his family prestige being tarnished. No one could see him, and it was perfect.

Persie was determined not to fail his TT, especially since Iris dropped the bomb that for every mortal he failed, he would have to help two more.

As Cole held his wrist, he walked quickly and Persie had to run to keep up.

"Cole, what are you doing?" Persie murmured, feeling uncomfortable.

"We're boarding the ship or we'll be late for dinner," Cole answered, still walking quickly. Persie looked around, confused. He didn't see any ship and he didn't hear one land either.

When he looked back at his hovercar, he saw an object materialize before his eyes, hovering just a few feet away from him.

Cole had cloaked his ship and put it in stealth mode. Persie felt annoyed, realizing Cole had done this to catch him in the act.

Cole smiled at Persie's cute pouty face and pulled him to walk up the stairs.

But Persie abruptly stopped and said, "I can drive back to the castle. I can't leave the car here."

"Give me the keys," Cole ordered.

Persie wanted to say no, but he handed the keys over. He had caused damage, so he needed to be nice until he was sure Cole wouldn't hold it against him.

Cole tossed the keys to one of the guards and ordered him to drive back home.

The guard said, "Yes, Leader Cole."

As Persie was pulled into the ship, he walked through the halls of the ridiculously large vessel.

Cole led him to his office and closed the door behind them. He let go of Persie's wrist and took a seat behind his desk while Persie looked around the office.

The spacious office was unlike any other that Persie had ever seen. The walls were made of sleek, silver material that shimmered in the low light.

The floor was covered in a plush, deep blue carpet that seemed soft and luxurious. The high curved ceiling gave the impression of endless space above.

Despite being on a ship, the office was calm and peaceful, with only the soft hum of the ship's engines in the background.

In the center of the room, a large curved desk made of dark polished wood stood empty except for a sleek computer and a few stacks of paperwork. A huge picture window behind the desk offered a breathtaking view of the meadow.

In one corner of the office, a comfortable seating area with a plush sofa and a couple of armchairs was arranged around a low coffee table, littered with magazines and a tray of drinks.

Cole said, "Sit," and Persie complied.

Cole simply looked at Persie in silence, and the longer the silence stretched, the more nervous Persie became.

Finally, he blurted out, "I know what I did was wrong, but I really hope you won't hold it against my work at R&D or against my family."

Cole chuckled. "I told you I'm not angry, and I always mean what I say," he reassured Persie. Persie looked into his blue eyes and could tell he was being sincere, and relaxed.

Cole noticed the flowers Persie had picked up, which were still in his hands, and asked, "Why did you decide to go there?"

Persie gazed down and whispered, "I just needed a moment of peace. I like being surrounded by nature."

Cole nodded in understanding. As Persie's phone vibrated, he placed the flowers on the desk and pulled it out of his pocket.

Persie beamed with joy upon seeing the notification confirming the approval of his patents. He loved how advanced technology was in this world, it allowed everything to be done instantly online.

Persie had been determined to develop something so valuable, that it would be impossible for Demetrius to fire him as the heir.

Thanks to Aurora, he acquired a cellphone from another universe that was 209 years ahead of that one.

Persie created the plans and patented the cellphone's operating system, which was 30 times faster than what Leos Enterprises used, or any other company for that matter.

With those inventions, they would do everything in their power to keep him. At least until Persie decided to hand over the patents to Leos Enterprises.

Knowing how greedy Demetrius was, Persie was certain he would stop at nothing to acquire the patents.

Cole was mesmerized by Persie's smile. He had never met such a lovely omega before. He couldn't help but notice a stray strand of hair that kept falling into Persie's face.

Without thinking, Cole reached out and gently brushed it away, tucking it behind his ear.

Piersie's heart skipped a beat at the unexpected gesture. He looked up at Cole, who was gazing at him with a soft and affectionate expression.

No wonder every man and woman threw themselves at Cole, whenever they saw him. From the way Cole looked at Persie, it seemed like he was the only person in the world.

It made sense that Zoe saw every person Cole looked at as a threat. She had been desperately in love with Cole since she started working for him.

However, Cole seemed oblivious and slept with someone new every week. He never slept with the same person for more than three nights.

Cole was always honest, but each time his sleeping partner thought they could change his mind, which was foolish.

Cole would never change, and his grandfather Arsenio knew that which was why he adopted Luke.

Arsenio wanted his heir to marry and have a son or daughter who would become the next president.

Perhaps it was a good thing that Cole owned the land and caught Piersie. It seemed like Cole wanted to be friends, which would make the mission easier.
