When Persie, Cole, and Luke arrived at headquarters, Persie was taken aback by the crowd of reporters. They were jostling and pushing one another, desperate to capture pictures of Cole.

While they waited inside the car, the bodyguards took their positions. Persie glanced at Cole and asked, "Is it always like this?"

"I've been away for years, so I expect the media frenzy in the first few days," Cole replied. "Usually, there are only a couple of paparazzi around, unless I venture out at night."

Persie sneered and shifted his gaze out the window. It was no surprise that the paparazzi followed Cole when he went out at night; they knew he would return home with someone to spend the night with.

Cole's eyes sparkled with amusement and a tinge of happiness. It may seem silly, but he enjoyed the fact that Persie was bothered by his involvement with others or the mention of his past.
