I don't think Lily was right. There was something wrong right now. I had noticed that disturbance in Sweetie as soon as Cherry Pie stated all of the bastards had been taken away. She of all people should have been delighted about that. Instead, now she was acting like this. Why?
Dev's sister was an easy target to make mad, it made sense she wanted to choose her to make a scene. Yet, the way she went after Dev too? It was hard to say, but I think we all got Sweetie wrong.
Dev had treated her with graceful hands since the day he came. He was being nothing but nice to her with no criticizing whatsoever. Not the blame for the children he didn't even know about. Nothing. Then, that blowup.
No matter what game Sweetie was playing, that blowup looked real. Lily would have absolutely taken her down if Dev hadn't intervened to remind her she was pregnant. What was is all about?
